Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Public record information inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: I received serval responses to the disputes Ive made under FCRA 611 ( a ) regarding the information on my credit report ( an alleged Bankruptcy chapter XXXX account unverified information ). I was furious to learn that they obtained unverified information from LexisNexis and elected to leave the disputed item on my credit report as accurate. I was very interested to know how their investigator ( s ) arrived at this erroneous conclusion that the information the company XXXX LexisNexis XXXX reported to the credit bureau is accurate. I requested a complete list of all documents and correspondence between them and LexisNexis, verifying the disputed information. I specified that they included all names and contact information of employees that they spoke to as part of the investigations. LexisNexis is not listed on my credit report as a creditor and I have no affiliation with them. The US Bankruptcy Court of NC XXXX is the creditor listed for reporting the alleged Bankruptcy chapter XXXX account unverified information. But the credit bureaus said they verified the information with LexisNexis and not with the US Bankruptcy Court of NC XXXX so there is no valid basis for claiming the alleged Bankruptcy chapter XXXX account information on my credit report is true. Due to my frustration, I reached out to the court listed on my credit report US Bankruptcy Court NC XXXX, to dispute the alleged Bankruptcy chapter XXXX information reporting and was advised that they have no affiliation or communication with any credit bureaus relating to bankruptcies. My repeated disputes were they said the verify the accuracy of the information being reported was a lie and they ignored all my requests, which is another violation of Federal Law and evidence so they willfully disregard the law. I advised them that under Section 611 ( 5 ) ( A ) of the FCRA they are required to promptly DELETE all information which can not be verified. and I request that they do this immediately.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Information is incorrect

Consumer Complaint: Getting a quote from XXXX XXXX exposed the fact that LexisNexis Risk Solutions were collecting my personal information through a program called XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) without me knowing. It had incorrect information on the report, in which XXXX used to evaluate my rates. My current rate with XXXX was highly in turns increased without my knowledge of the fact that they are using LexisNexis ' false information. I called LexisNexis Consumer Center XX/XX/2020 which did not go through. I then called their representative center which they told me to fill a dispute which would take 30-60 days.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Public record information inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, I sent a letter to LexisNexis to dispute the validity of a bankruptcy that was reporting on my consumer file. On XX/XX/2020, LexisNexis responded to my letter and said that LexisNexis was unable to verify the accuracy of bankruptcy case number XXXX within the required timeframe as outlined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and subsequently removed this record from your LexisNexis Report The same bankruptcy was reporting to XXXX and they removed the record from their report ( see attached documentation ). I have disputed the validity of the bankruptcy with both XXXX and XXXX. Neither of the have removed the record. Furthermore, both credit bureaus said that the information was obtained from LexisNexis. XXXX responded on XX/XX/2020 and XX/XX/2020 and XXXX responded on XX/XX/2020. If LexisNexis removed bankruptcy case number XXXX from my report, then why are they continuing to report this information to the credit bureaus. I feel that this is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Please see the attached file for all documents that support my claims. I ask that you stop reporting this unverified information to XXXX and XXXX. Furthermore, please contact XXXX and XXXX and have them remove this information from my credit report as it is inaccurate.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Public record information inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, LexisNexis removed a chapter XXXX bankruptcy from my credit file. I have since then started to dispute this information with the credit bureaus since they verify this public record with LexisNexis. The credit bureaus are relaying to me that LexisNexis is still verifying this public record as accurate. I have several documents that LexisNexis has sent me to show that they removed the chapter XXXX bankruptcy along with my entire file from LexisNexis showing that the chapter XXXX bankruptcy does not exist.

Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing issue

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: I originally disputed 31 items on my LexisNexis Consumer Report in XX/XX/XXXX. They corrected some of the information but several items were not. I shopped online for automobile insurance in XX/XX/XXXX and discovered that several automobile accidents were still on my report. I disputed the items again on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not receive a response from LexisNexis until I contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX to get an update on my request. I finally received a letter from them on XX/XX/XXXX that my report was available on their website. The new report still lists six accidents which all involved my son and not me in any way. At the time I filed both disputes, I explained to LexisNexis that the information was related to my son who has the same name and shares my home address but owns his own car, has his own PA driver 's license, and his own automobile insurance. I have afforded them two opportunities to correct my report but they have failed to do so. Therefore, I am requesting your assistance in having the original 31 items removed from my report in a timely manner.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Public record information inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: I have filed for them to remove this bankruptcy too many times. I have wasted money and sent letters certified and still no resolution. This is damaging my personal and business life. They stated that the information was verified in the enclosed document XX/XX/2020 but the bankruptcy was removed from XXXX but is still currently reporting on XXXX and XXXX. They are reporting inaccurate and unverifiable information and I would like for it to be removed and an updated copy of my credit report sent to me.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Public record information inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: Hi there! I would like to file a dispute with the XXXX. On XX/XX/2020, I sent a dispute asking to verify the information concerning the bankruptcy on my XXXX credit report. XXXX responded and verified this bankruptcy through information " obtained from local, state, and federal courts through a third party vendor, LexisNexis ''. Interesting, because on XX/XX/2020, I asked the courthouse to verify if they were reporting information to the credit bureaus to see if this was true. The courthouse stated that they did NOT report any information to the credit bureaus. Either directly, or through a third party vendor like LexisNexis. This leads me back to XXXX. If the courthouse did not send the information to the credit bureaus ( directly or indirectly ), how are they verifying this information? What method did they use? So on XX/XX/2020, I sent a certified letter to the XXXX informing them that they were reporting a bankruptcy on my credit report, that was not verified with the courthouse that they are reporting that they received the information from. They then AGAIN stated that all of the information was " verified ''. But how if the courthouse does not communicate with any credit bureaus ( LexisNexus is a credit bureau )? I find this information false, misleading, and should be removed from my credit reports! I have attached ALL of the letters to prove my statements.
