Consumer Complaint: I XXXX, XXXX the consumer natural person am challenging the validity of this alleged bankruptcy you have listed on my reports. I recently Challenged this same account with the credit reporting agencies and they came back stating that they have verified this account with Lexis Nexis. I have went to the courthouse, and they have also stated they did NOT verify this information. Please send me whatever documents of information you have personally used to verify this alleged bankruptcy, immediately. If you can not produce such documents this bankruptcy needs to be removed from my file as it is defaming my character. An please contacts all credit reporting agencies XXXX, XXXX and XXXX to have this bankruptcy remove immediately. The Congress has stated Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1681 ( 4 ) that there is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibility with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. Consumer Complaint: Mrs XXXX thank you for your response but Im not happy that your office did not send me proper notification via US mail stating that you needed verification of proof normally and per the FCRA you are to send a written letter to my home address indicating that you need specific information but I received nothing is why I file a CFPB complaint this is a violation of the FCRA I got your first requested letter in the mail saying that I needed to go onto your company website to submitted information to get a copy of my Lexius nexus report and thats what I did.I been sitting here waiting for 3 to 4 weeks now. I have enclosed the information via email via the CFPB Portal. Also I challenge you that you are reporting in accurate information on a bankruptcy chapter XXXX on my public record file about the file number! What I need from you is a certified statement writing from the clerk of court that you spoke with the clerk to verify this information. Per the clerk of court they do not provide information to 3rd party or any of the credit bureaus. Also this information must be on the US bankruptcy court letterhead. I also requested of you again to freeze my lEXIS-NEXIS credit report since I cant get a copy of my credit file and the negative information that is reporting on me. All information must be 100 % accurate. Please delete the public record from my credit file immediately. Consumer Complaint: I paid my homeowners insurance premium In XXXX to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and with my policy I was informed that I did not get the best rate because of information given to them by LexisNexis. I was also told that I could get a copy of that report. I wrote LexisNexis immediately for the report but only got a letter asking for what would be an identity thieves dream. They wanted a ) a copy of a bank statement or a utility bill with my current address ; b ) a copy of my drivers license AND c ) a copy of my Social Security card. Thinking that they were a reputable company I submitted the items requested. But no report was given to me. I may have assumed wrong about their reliability. I would like you to investigate this complaint and see if you can get the company to comply with what is legally required of them. Consumer Complaint: There are accounts on my consumer report that are fraudulent. Any unathorized account is considered identity theft. Under the FCRA written by congress at the receipt of an identity theft report, which is attached, a consumer reporting agency has 4 business days to block these fraudulent accounts. I, clients name did not receive and will not receive goods, services, nor money for this block. Neither was this request made by error nor is the identity theft report a misrepresentation of fact being that it is directly from the Federal Trade Commissions website, who by law is authorized to enforce compliance. Therefore there is nothing preventing the blocking of these fraudulent accounts as said so by congress under the FCRA. Failure to comply with the blocking of these fraudulent accounts makes you liable under section 1681n of title 15. Unless your consumer reporting agency is able to provide me, clients name who is the consumer, a proof of validation of any of these alleged debts from the creditors within 4 business days, there should be NO reason why I would have to wait for the creditors response before the necessary blocking of these fraudulent accounts. NO company policy is above FEDERAL LAW. With that being said there should be NO comments on my consumer report saying that these fraudulent accounts are being disputed, especially since I, the consumer DID NOT request for these accounts to be disputed, and I have also provided everything needed, pursuant to 15 USC 1681c, for this fraudulent information to be blocked no later than 4 business days. Please also mail me confirmation of this block along with an updated consumer report showing this block. Along with this statement, I have attached both the identity theft report and proof of my identity. Failure to comply with the blocking of these fraudulent accounts makes you liable under section 1681n of title 15. The fraudulent accounts that need to be blocked are listed below.
