Consumer Complaint: Attached is a copy United states Bankruptcy Court explaining they do not report to any of the credit bureaus. So how are you verifiying this information if the source is saying they don't report to any credit bureaus. You are reporting inaccurate information according to the Fair credit reporting act 15 usc 1681 e ( b ) Accuracy of report Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. If any information is indeed inaccurate According to 15usc 1681i ( 5 ) Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information ( A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( 1 ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall ( i ) promptly delete that item of information from the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the reinvestigation ; and ( ii ) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the file of the consumer.

Consumer Complaint: I obtained my LexisNexis Consumer Report and there was a Bankruptcy reporting from U. S. Bankruptcy Court listed on my report. I never gave LexisNexis any written consent to report or furnish my Bankruptcy public records. Under the FCRA [ 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( B ) ] A Consumer has a right to privacy. I wrote LexisNexis and notified them of the law they were breaking under the FCRA in addition asked them to provide me with copies of all documentation associated with these Public Record Accounts bearing either a court order to place this information in my credit report, or my authorization of release bearing my signature. They responded with updating my account and ignored my rights as Consumer. I also sent LexisNexis a letter from the bankrupt courts in which they mailed me letters which emphatically stated that they do NOT provide any information to credit reporting agencies, nor do they ever validate and/or confirm public records. It is the credit reporting agencies, and/or other third-party providers who collect information regarding public cases from public records. Public records information is NEVER validated by the Recorder of Deeds nor the U. S. Court system due to the Fair Credit Reporting Agency PRIVACY LAW

I inquired about the information they are reflecting and they responded that they was unable to verify the bankruptcies and they would remove it from my report. They have failed to remove the bankruptcies from my report and in which has delayed the removal of the items from the bureaus.

Also they have distributed inaccurate information about me to all three credit bureaus, and refuse to remove the information. I have contacted them directly, as well as the three credit bureaus to get this inaccurate and third party information removed from my credit reports that I do not recognize - two alleged bankruptcies.
