Consumer Complaint: A dispute letter to remove an item on the Lexis Nexis report, generated in my name, was sent to Lexis Nexis via certified mail on XX/XX/2021. On XX/XX/2021 I sent an email notifying them of the mailing and attaching the letter mailed. According to the certified mail return receipt Lexis Nexis received and signed for the letter on XX/XX/2021. To date I have not received an update or response regarding my dispute despite it being 32 days since I sent the email and 30 days since they received mailing.

Consumer Complaint: I have been going back and fourth with Lexis Nexis and the bankruptcy they are reporting on my credit report. The first complaint I filed with them they said it was a matter of public record, BUT there is no such thing as public record because I, the consumer, have a right to privacy 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ). They also stated they investigated it but 15 USC 1681a ( e ) states that they need to interview my personal associates as well as not include factual information. Additionally, the bankruptcy court already told me that they do not furnish anything to consumer reporting agencies. After the first complaint I filed they said they needed more of my identification information. So I sent them a copy of my social security card in addition to identification papers they sent me.They responded by sending me a copy of my consumer report on XX/XX/XXXX. They are in clear violations of these laws, and they have yet to resolve this issue.

Consumer Complaint: For bankruptcy public records collected through XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX obtained information about bankruptcies from a third-party vendor, LexisNexis. Due to an error on my credit report, the bankruptcy was found to not belong to me and someone of a similar name. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a dispute to omit the erroneous bankruptcy of my credit report. The bankruptcy came back on XX/XX/XXXX as " Verified '' although there is no Bankruptcy on my Lexis Nexis Consumer Report and a court-sealed certified document showing a name that is not mine and dates that contradict when the bankruptcy was served and filed ( Certificate of Service ). After providing sufficient evidence that the Bankruptcy is not mine through Court Sealed documents and my Lexis Nexis Consumer report on XX/XX/XXXX via USPS postal mail via tracking number XXXX showing no Bankruptcy on my Lexis Nexis Consumer Report and a court-sealed certified document showing a name that is not mine and dates that contradict when the bankruptcy was served and filed ( Certificate of Service ). XXXX verified the Bankruptcy as Verified from Lexis Nexis on XX/XX/XXXX despite no Bankruptcy ever being on my Lexis Nexis Consumer Report. As well, they did not state who they verified who they sourced this public information from.

Consumer Complaint: I have written to Lexis Nexis several times with concerns of inaccurate reporting on my credit file. After several attempts to rectify the issue directly with the Bureau I feel it is time I escalate the issue as I am not seeing satisfactory results or nearly any results at all. Not only have they completely ignored my requests but they also intentionally make it extremely difficult for consumers to access the data they report on them via a consumer file. As you will see in the supporting detail, Lexis Nexis is illegally reporting unverifiable and illegitimate information on my consumer file regarding a Bankruptcy. I am curious as to how they can confirm such information belongs to me while still adhering to the FCRA policies. I have asked them on numerous occasions to provide me with their methods of verification and they are unresponsive. I reached out to the source they have listed as the furnisher of information which is the Bankruptcy Court and they notified me promptly that they do not and have not furnished any data to this Bureau or any other. It is my understanding that if a XXXX can not verify the information they report according to the FCRA it must be reported.

These inaccuracies are highly injurious to my credit rating.
