Consumer Complaint: XXXX and XXXX states that Lexis Nexis has provided them a copy of my credit file that states that I have a chapter XXXX bankruptcy that was discharged with the reference # XXXX. I spoke with a representative at lexis nexis who stated that this information was not sent to XXXX or XXXX and that this record is not on my lexis nexis file. Someone is furnishing incorrect information that belongs to my father XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have been trying to get the situation cleared up with XXXX and XXXX for 2 years and they have failed to investigate this issue and remove the record even with proof from the bankruptcy court in question and a copy of my lexis nexis report from 2019. This is my second or third complaint filed on these companies and each time they close the complaint with promises of investigating it then closed the dispute out without fixing anything. In fact they rotate between saying that the court verified this information then lexis nexis verified it. I've contacted the court and they continue to say that they do not report records so that's a lie.. I've also contacted lexis nexis who say that they do not report this information.. which is another lie.. Stop ruining people lives and understand that it is you'll civil duty to remove this record because it does not meet the FCRA guidelines.. Warning false and misleading reporting is a violation that I can seek compensation for!

Consumer Complaint: I received a call on XX/XX/2021 from a lady with XXXX asking me if I could provide my information to obtain a quote. I told her that I would call back when I was ready because I'm in the middle of a new car purchase. On XX/XX/2021, the same lady called me back and asked if I was ready to purchase XXXX insurance, and I told her no and that I have insurance so I wouldn't consider switching for another 30 days after I complete my new car purchase. On XX/XX/2021, I received a Fair Credit Reporting notice reflecting XXXX ran my credit. I didn't give permission for this to occur and feel violated. I know XXXX doesn't have the right to run my information without my permission and that is what happened. I have tried calling them, and no one knows what to do or say to resolve the issue so I need to file a formal complaint because they are 100 % in violation and cause an inquiry that I can't have removed.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: I have had an incorrect bankruptcy on my credit report for many years. I have tried to dispute this a couple times over the past couple years with no success, due to my own lack of knowledge of the proper steps to take. However, after filing a dispute with XXXX and XXXX, I was told that the information has been verified by a third party company called LexisNexis. I then contacted LexisNexis on XX/XX/2021 and opened a dispute with them regarding this misinformation of a bankruptcy that is being reported to XXXX and XXXX. on XX/XX/2021, LexisNexis sent me a letter with the results of their investigation. The results were they were unable to verify this information, and have removed/deleted this information from my LexisNexis report. I contacted XXXX and XXXX on Friday, XX/XX/2021 regarding this information and reopened a dispute of this incorrect bankruptcy being reported by these companies on my record. XXXX, was magically able to close this dispute only two days later, on the Sunday of XX/XX/2021. Reporting that LexisNexis was able to verify this information with the courthouse, and that this record will remain on my credit report. XXXX, closed this dispute on the Thursday, and XX/XX/2021. XXXX also reported that LexisNexis was able to verify this information with the courthouse, and this bankruptcy will remain on my credit report. The issue is this bankruptcy being reported on my XXXX and XXXX report is not mine. The " third party '' that is selling this misinformation, ( LexisNexis ) is either continuing to sell this misinformation about me, or XXXX and XXXX are not truly " investigating '' the dispute I filed with them. Considering XXXX was able to close this dispute within two days, over a weekend, tells me everything I need to know. XXXX continue 's to say " The company that reported this information has certified to XXXX that this information is accurate '', ( LexisNexis ). I expect to have this incorrect public record removed from my XXXX and XXXX credit report ASAP.

Consumer Complaint: Let me start by letting you know Im getting very frustrated as I have been trying to resolve this with you for over a year now. You recently sent me a letter which stated that you verified that a bankruptcy is accurately reporting on my credit report. I wrote back to you on XX/XX/2021 and did not receive a response and the disputed information still remain on my credit report causing harm to my character. Ive filed complaints with CFPB and the Missouri Attorney General against your company after I have documented that you are not telling the truth. I have evidence from the courthouse that this information was never furnished by them so your company DID NOT follow proper procedure to obtain this information. There is no such thing as a public record for the consumer because I have a right to privacy pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ) There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. You can not continue to violate my consumer rights! If you investigated this bankruptcy, tell me who you interviewed and if you interviewed them, it should NOT include facts pursuant to 15 USC 1681a ( e ). The term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumers credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX continues to report that I still owe on a closed paid off secured loan. The report is contra status. They claim to have investigated the dispute and validated their reporting. This company continues to hurt my credit ratings. Are they a legitimate credit reporting company? I am so tired of dealing with XXXX with their multiple outdated data reporting, not willing to investigate, verify and fix errors. Most of their disputes take an average of 7 days to investigate and never fixes the problem. They claim the XXXX XXXX credit and secured loan are adverse accounts, but when I reached out to original bank, they say they they sent accurate report that both my accounts are closed and paid off, to the contrary in reporting on XXXX. This is so unfair.

Consumer Complaint: I have contacted the third party entity Lexisnexis Risk Solution to provide original signed documents of oath of who can testify an alleged bankruptcy on my credit file and they have not sent any proof or documentation of any method of verification. I contacted XXXX and filed a dispute of this alleged bankruptcy and they put me on hold and muted the phone several times. XXXX is not cooperating. In an effort to resolve the disputed alleged bankruptcy, Lexisnexis Risk Solution emailed me and asked for my social security number, driver 's license and address. Consumer Complaint: Since you are still reporting this account on my credit report, you are now in violation of the FCPDA, and are now subject to fines of {$1000.00}, which I may collect from you by filing a claim in small claims court. I intend to follow through with the suit if I do not hear back from you within 15 days. You should also be aware that reporting such invalidated information to major credit bureaus might constitute defamation of character, as the negative marks on my credit report harm my credit and prevent me from enjoying all the benefits of good credit. I'm sure your legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request could put your company in serious legal trouble with the FTC and other state or federal agencies. Lexisnexis Is violating my rights I submitted a dispute XX/XX/2021 the return receipt states they received it on XX/XX/2021, today XX/XX/2021 they still have not started the dispute which is a violation of the FCRA & FDCPA Then on XX/XX/2021 lexisNexis sent a letter with a form requesting me to do their investigation for them which is not my job in which is not required by the law.
