Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: Early XXXX I contacted the company in regards to XXXX bankruptcy that is on my report and asked about the method of verification also for proof of verification. I was never sent this information on letters stating that they verified it, but don't state how nor was any proof given. I was only told that it was verified through Lexis Nexis also that they purchased my info from them. They also advised me that they received this through third party public information. This alone is violations under FCRA and USC laws. These laws state that I have the right to privacy which means I did not give them authorization to report this on my behalf. FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 5 ) states if the credit bureau cant VALIDATE the information with the ORIGINAL CREDITOR they must remove the information from my report. Also be aware that NO COURT IN AMERICA VALIDATES NOR REPORT to any agency or bureau. YOU HAVE 15 DAYS FROM RECIEVEING THIS TO VALIDATE THIS OR ELSE REMOVE IT

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to Lexis Nexis on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX regarding a past toll violation with The XXXX XXXX XXXX that the toll was closed and should not be showing on my credit report or any record. I completed a Deferred Adjudication Program in XXXX for three months, stating that I would have a toll for that time. I did not have one, and the case was closed. Lexis Nexius still has this information under my name ; I came across this information from an XXXX Alert showing that this is coming up on my credit report as pending, which is incorrect. I contacted Lexis Nexis and filed the complaint with the information they needed to close this information and correct it under my name, and they did not do so ; it has remained. I sent them another request, but they never responded or answered their phones by email or phone.

Consumer Complaint: Recently my insurance premiums substantially increased resulting in XXXX dropping me as a customer after 30 years. I had to find alternate insurance and obtained XXXX. The issue I have is XXXX XXXX reported me as being " at fault '' for my one and only collision. ( I have had parking dings ). But the police report states it was a " no fault '' accident. I provided the police report to XXXX along with an explanation but nothing was done just a standard letter requesting more information which had already been provided. According to discussions with XXXX, they indicated they used the XXXX XXXX report to determine insurance premiums including any lapse in coverage. There was a 2 week lapse when I was not aware XXXX dropped me until the next premium payment was small. When I called to find out, I learned I no longer had XXXX Auto and immediately secured coverage. This lapse was a first for me and was immediately rectified. I am paying outrageous premiums now that are based on the assumption I was " at fault ''.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022, I sent a letter to the court house asking if they reported my bankruptcy to the credit bureaus. I received a letter stating that they do not report bankruptcies to any entities. If that is indeed true how is it that the credit bureaus verified the bankruptcy action as 100 % accurate. The bureaus did not complete a fair investigation according to the Credit Report Act 15 U.S. Code 1681. 15 U.S.C. 1681 section 603 ( 3 ) ( E ) states : The term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumers credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer. The credit bureaus also violated my rights given under Credit Report Act 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 ( A ) ( 4 ). According to this law I have a right to privacy. Accuracy and fairness of credit reporting. The Congress makes the following findings : There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. According to 15 U.S.C. 181 Section 604 A Section 2 also states that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instruction. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to beliefve that the information is inaccurate.
