Consumer Complaint: To Whom it may concern - I was recently surprised to learn that in XX/XX/2021 XXXX XXXX XXXX incorrectly reported to Lexis Nexis ( XXXX ) that I had an auto claim AND reported that I was at fault for this accident. While I did call to inquire about filing a claim from a hit-and-run where I was not at fault, I never went through with the claim. XXXX XXXX mailed me a check for {$97.00} which I did not cash. In speaking with two XXXX XXXX employees they both informed me that I never did file a claim nor was I at fault, and sent me a PDF letter on XXXX XXXX letterhead to that extent. However they advised they could not rectify the consumer reporting agency data since " the claim was closed ''. Under FCRA, XXXX XXXX did report this information to a Consumer Reporting Agency, therefore XXXX XXXX is responsible for rectifying this information promptly upon notice that they have made an error. Additionally, I submitted a request to obtain my Consumer Disclosure report online from Lexis Nexis on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX I still have not received the information required from them on obtaining this information. Their process requires me to first submit a request online, then they mail me additional information to access my report. The impact of this incorrect data has doubled my auto insurance premium. XXXX XXXX shared that a 6-month quote they provided me increased from {$1000.00} to {$1700.00} due to this incorrect data, a 76 % rate increase. I look forward to you resolving this incorrectly reporting quickly. We are in the process of moving and new quotes are astronomical due to your misinformation.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022, I requested an investigation with the credit bureau due to a bankruptcy being reported on my credit file. In XX/XX/2022, I was notified that XXXX bankruptcy was considered accurate. I then contacted the US bankruptcy court regarding this issue and was told they have not verified and do not ever verify debts with the credit bureau. So, if this is XXXX case, how did the credit bureau edify that the information reporting on my file is 100 % accurate. They never did a fair investigation according to the 15U.S.C 1681. 15.U.S.C 1681 section 603 ( 3 ) ( E ) states ; The term " investigative consumer report '' means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumer 's character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he/she is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such reporting information shall not include specific factual information on a consumer 's credit record obtained directly from the creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer. They also violated my rights numerous times. The credit bureau violated my given rights under 15 USC 1681 According to 15 USC section 602A I have a right to privacy According to 15 USC 1681 section 604 A section 2 it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions. According to 15 USC 1681S-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting wit the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. Im response to the previous dispute, Lexis Nexis has not contacted me via email, by phone or mail as stated in their response. I have provided all necessary documents requested in the response.
