Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: I have filed a dispute regarding public records that don't belong to me and they have refused to remove them. The courts don't verify accounts or report anything to the credit bureaus. The credit bureaus are getting this information via a third party who gets their information from public records that may have incorrect information, I have also disputed inquiries that t weren't permissible and the bureaus are refusing to do an investigation but yet want me to contact the reporting companies. According to the FCRA that isn't my job but the credit bureaus and if they can't be verified they must be deleted. The bankruptcy does't belong to me and any account reporting as such needs to be deleted. Lexisnexis is a third party reporting agency and obtains their information from public records and that information can't be verified and must be deletedXXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

I called the XXXX Bankruptcy court that XXXX said they Verified through with the court. I contacted the clerk of the XXXX Bankruptcy court and I received a letter and was told that they do not share or verify and information with any credit reporting companies or XXXX and XXXX XXXX. REMOVE THE INACCURATE BANKRUPTCY XXXX XXXX FROM MY XXXX REPORT. UNVERIFIED INFORMATYION SHOULD BE DELETED FROM MY CREDIT PROFILE UNDER THE The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq, is U.S. Federal Government legislation enacted to promote the accuracy, fairness, and privacy of consumer information contained in the files of consumer reporting agencies. It was intended to shield consumers from the willful and/or negligent inclusion of erroneous data in their credit reports. To that end, the FCRA regulates the collection, dissemination, and use of consumer information, including consumer credit information. [ 1 ] Together with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), the FCRA forms the foundation of consumer rights law in the United States. It was originally passed in 1970, [ 2 ] and is enforced by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and private litigants.

Account # XXXX showing credit limit {$3000.00} past due {$80.00} is disputed ; On my XX/XX/2022 credit report lists account as : " Dispute Resolved '' I do not consent and I DISPUTE this account in its entirety! There was no thorough investigation, and XXXX is violating my Texas consumer rights and federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 USC 1681. Account # 51780593*** is violating my rights under 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy.15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 U.S.C 1681c. Consumer Complaint: I requested my file disclosure from LEXISNEXIS RISK SOLUTIONS ( LNRS ) on XX/XX/2022 through the CFPB and they sent an email to me through their consumer center but misspelled my name and my email thought it was an unsafe email and put it into spam. I didn't notice the email until the CFPB notified me on XX/XX/2022 that LNRS told me they contacted me through email on XX/XX/2022 and that I didn't answer so they closed the case. LNRS suggested I go directly to them to make my request but I don't feel safe or trust that their actions are done in good faith. In the email I received they already broke federal law by asking me for my SSN and asking me for other private information that has nothing to do with verifying my identity. I want them to take their grave responsibility as a CRA seriously.
