Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I sent a letter to the courthouse with tracking number # XXXX, asking do they report bankruptcies to the credit bureaus, and I received a letter stating that they do not report any bankruptcies to anybody. So, if thats the case, how did the credit buraus verify my bankruptcy as 100 % accurate. They never did a fair investigation according to the 15 USC 1681. 15 USC 1681 section 603 ( 3 ) ( E ) states ; The term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumers credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer. They also violated my rights numerous times. The credit bureaus violated my given rights under 15 USC 1681. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 section 602 A, states I have the right to privacy. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 section 604 A section 2, it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Lexis Nexis by phone, in XX/XX/2022, regarding 8 inaccurate XXXX XXXX claims records they have attached to my consumer record. These inaccurate records caused my auto insurance premiums to increase by 150 %. Nexis Lexis initiated their dispute process and informed me they would respond within 30 days, which they did on XX/XX/2022. Their " investigation '' process determined the claims to be accurate and have not removed them from my record. They also furnished me with a full copy of my record which I then analyzed it myself and found no less than : - XXXX incorrect Identification Records- XXXX incorrect Address Records- XXXX incorrect Insurance Policy Records - XXXX incorrect XXXX XXXX - XXXX incorrect Auto Insurance Claim Records All the errors in my record seem to involve an individual, by my same name - XXXX XXXX, who lives in XXXX and is a XXXX XXXX. I have never lived in XXXX or held a drivers license in that state. I have lived in XXXX my entire life and have only held a XXXX drivers license. I honestly have no idea how anyone at LexisNexis who read the report, that they supplied, could not see the sheer volume and scope of errors, discrepancies and inconsistencies throughout my record. I was mortified and it was clear to me that no one actually looked at my record to determine what was happening. This is important personal information that effects all aspects my financial life and employment, etc, and it needs to be corrected ASAP. Thank you for your assistance in this matter!

Consumer Complaint: The Consumer Reporting Agencies AND Lexis Nexis have defamed my character and have infringed upon my consumer right to privacy. I have NEVER NOT ONCE given any verbal nor written consent to share my PERSONAL INFORMATION, including BANKRUPTCY to any 3rd parties. I called the bankruptcy court and they have plainly sent a letter back to me stating " They DO NOT REPORT, VERIFY, OR FURNISH INFORMATION TO CREDIT BUREAUS OR ANY PARTY. ". Now the question would be how did they get my information IF I didn't give them written consent AND the bankruptcy court do not report, verify or furnish information to any party. This have caused stress and harm to my name and have cause many denials in trying to support myself and my family. According to law this is illegal. They are going out fishing for consumers PRIVATE information and hardship, then selling it to make a profit to anyone they chose. I have sent in letters and have called them and it is still not removed. I sent letters certified to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XX/XX/2022 asking them to delete this and show me proof that they have the permission to furnish this information. They replied back to me and sent me reports that said VERIFIED AS ACCURATE. NO PROOF was sent to me. I resent a Certified letter XX/XX/2022 XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I called Lexis Nexis XX/XX/2022 and spoke with XXXX and XXXX. I asked who gave them permission to share my information? They couldn't answer. I kept asking and the she said they don't need permission to share my information to 3rd party people. She said if someone ask then they can give out my information. I have proof stating this information. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX have been reporting inaccurate information. I have went through all three reports and sent in certified letters challenging it and they came back as verified accurate but that's not possible and they have different information on each report so its all a lie. I NEED THEM TO DELETE IMMEDIATELY.
