Consumer Complaint: I am writing to dispute the reporting of bankruptcy information on my credit report. According to my credit report from the credit reporting agencies, it appears that bankruptcy information has been reported by your agency. However, I would like to bring to your attention that bankruptcy courts do not report directly to the consumer reporting agencies, and it is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) for such information to be included in my credit report. I would like to emphasize the following points : Bankruptcy Court Reporting : Bankruptcy courts do not provide information directly to consumer reporting agencies. The reporting of bankruptcy information is the responsibility of the creditors and collection agencies involved in the bankruptcy proceedings, and it is their duty to accurately report this information to the credit bureaus. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681c ( a ) Bankruptcy information is excluded from the consumer 's report. ( LexisNexis, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) is in violation of said section for furnishing this information on my consumer report, that was obtained illegally from Lexis Nexis under false pretenses in which they've obtained it from an online electronic system known as Pacer.
