Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 an unauthorize XXXX transfer to an unknown person of {$500.00} from my checking account. I immediately went to the Chase bank and asked to stop the transaction. Unfortunately they weren't able to, and they freezed my account at the moment. The banker told me it will be refunded to me after they done investigation. However, when I called the customer service, they told me that there were no fraudulent activities shown on my account, and they refused to provide me further information. This is not fair for a value customer of the bank. They should refund me the unauthorized transaction of {$500.00} as this is fraudulent activities.

Today, I did not receive my direct deposit in my Chase checking account ending on XXXX, even though my school district XXXX XXXX XXXX HAS ISSUED A PAYCHECK which indicates that my net distribution was deposited in my checking account number, ending on XXXX for the amount of XXXX. I have had a previous check/salary direct deposited by XXXX to my checking account on XX/XX/2023. I called customer service at Chase at XXXX at XXXX p.m to inquire about the status of my salary. I spoke with an agent, who represented himself 'CK ', AND WHO REFUSED TO PROVIDE ME WITH HIS CHASE EMPLOYEE ID, OR LAST NAME. " XXXX '' agent told me there are no money deposited into my checking account XXXX, and that XXXX has to contact the " MERCHANT ''. I ASKED WHO IS THE MERCHANT? XXXX ' DID NOT KNOW WHO! At the end, " XXXX '' stated that he has to transfer me to the supervisor, and mentioned that the MERCHANT IS XXXX PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Then I spoke with the SUPERVISOR who represented as " XXXX ''. XXXX stated that XXXX is not allowed to tell me his last name, and that is fine XXXX to be called only XXXX. XXXX stated he is not allowed to tell me his Employee ID number. XXXX checked on my direct deposit, and stated she does not see any transaction. I asked XXXX to provide with the " MERCHANT PHONE NUMBER '', and I asked XXXX if this is XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX gave me the phone number XXXX and stated, after I specifically asked her, XXXXTHIS IS THE MERCHANT XXXX XXXX!!! ". AFTER XXXX MINUTES on the phone with Chase customer Service Department, I called XXXX, thinking this is a number of XXXX XXXX. I was shocked to hear that this is the Chase Bank number ( in XXXX, FL ). I spoke with XXXX from " XXXX XXXX action '' at XXXX p.m. who asked me for my Chase checking account number in order to help me. Needless to say, XXXX did not help me, could not look my account number and became very nervous when I told him I am filing a complaint against Chase with CFPB. I ASKED XXXX " WHY CHASE CUSTOMER AGENTS ARE PASSING ME on the phone AS A BALL, FROM DEPARTMENT TO DEPARTMENT? WHY NO-ONE IS INVESTIGATING TO SEE IF MY EMPLOYER DID NOT SEND THE MONEY, OR SOMEONE FROM CHASE HAS STOLLEN MY SALARY, IN SOME WAY? I found all of the above very disturbing, disrespectful, disregarding and negligent! When a customer complaints of missing her hard-worked two weeks salary of {$2900.00}, it is the responsibility of all Chase agents to investigate what is going on, and file a complaint on the behalf of their client. Therefore, the aforementioned Chase Bank agents clearly lack the skills and knowledge- on the opposite, I wonder why do they work there if they did not know what to do in my case. How could I trust Chase Bank which records does not have any update or ways to trace if my employer has sent my salary. Or IF ANYONE FROM CHASE HAS DIRECTED MY SALARY SOMEWHERE ELSE! " We do not see the deposit '' - is the answer of the Chase customer service agents. SO... .investigate!... WHERE IS MY SALARY?

Consumer Complaint: I applied online for a Chase Bank Amazon Prime Credit Card. I was mailed the credit card and activated it. EVERY SINGLE DAY, MY CARD IS FLAGGED FOR FRAUDULENT PURCHASE EVEN IF I AM ONLY MAKING A SMALL PURCHASE AT A LOCAL GROCERY STORE. THIS is causing a major inconvenience to my life. My card then I try to call and unlock it and Chase tells me that my phone number is not allowed to be sent a one time security password via text message. I have XXXX service and its a plan in my name with no call blocking features. Sometimes rarely instead of a text message they will ask me security questions based upon public information and my account will be unlocked but I will be able to use my card one time after it is unlocked and then it freezes again! I do not know where to turn, I need help this is causing a major problem to my life. I applied for that card to help me survive until I have other wages come in and I can not do anything. I can not buy food, pay car expenses, etc.

Consumer Complaint: My partner and I own a small primary care practice named XXXX XXXX In XX/XX/2022, XXXX of our business checks ( sent for a business office lease payment ) was stolen from the mail. The check was altered, with the payee and amount fraudulently changed, and then electronically deposited into the fraudulent payees account. The original check was made out to XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$2800.00}. The cashed check was made out to an individual ( unknown to us ) in the amount of {$9200.00}. After the check was deposited, I noticed this large debit of {$9200.00} from our business account and went right away to the local Chase Bank branch. The manager was very helpful and assisted me in filing a claim. The claim documents were faxed directly from the branch, including the claim report and a copy of the original check as well as the altered fraudulent check. I was told that since I reported the incident within 24 hours of the check being deposited, that the amount might be restored to our business account within 24 to 48 hours. Unfortunately, this was wrong information and I was later told that it could take 60 to 90 days. This caused us great distress, as we had to take out a small business loan just to make payroll one week. Our employees received their paychecks 2 days later than expected, causing them distress as well. The fraudulent check had wiped out our reserve funds which we sometimes need to make payroll. After filing the claim with Chase, I also attempted to enlist the help of XXXX XXXX. Since I am not a customer there, however, they would not speak with me regarding the fraudulent check, ( even though it was partially their error in not verifying the check information prior to deducting the funds from our account ). I also filed a report with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The XXXX was extremely helpful in tracking down the details of the fraudulent check and even found the person responsible. I submitted the officers very detailed report to Chase Bank in XX/XX/2022. I have made repeated follow up phone calls to Chase asking when the funds will be restored to our account. Each time, I am told that they are waiting for information from XXXX XXXX and that stolen check cases tend to take a long time to resolve because the bank has to conduct our own investigation. I can not believe that it has been almost 8 months and the {$9200.00} stolen from our account has not been returned. No one from Chase or XXXX XXXX has reached out to us to update us on the matter. Any time I want information, I have to call them, and each time I call, I am told the same thing that they are waiting on more information. I dont understand how this can happen as they have a copy of the police report clearly showing that this was a fraudulent check and indicating exactly who did it and where and how. Can you please help resolve this?

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX and I am the CEO and Founder of XXXX related business entities : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX has banked with JPMorgan Chase since XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to open XXXX new checking accounts with. JPMorgan Chase, XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX for XXXX XXXX. As part of this, I deposited two checks. I deposited a check for {$24000.00} into the XXXX XXXX XXXX account, and a check for {$110000.00} into the XXXX XXXX account. I was told that these funds would be available by XX/XX/XXXX. About one week later Chase let me know that they had decided to " exit the relationship. '' Chase, however, has not returned the funds. I have spent countless hours on the phone with various VPs across a wide array of departments, including the fraud department. I have provided extensive documentation verifying my ownership of these entities. I even paid {$500.00} to amend and restate the Articles of Formation for XXXX XXXX with the state of Delaware, so that the Articles now clearly state that I am an authorized agent. Despite this, despite XXXX knows how many hours spent on the phone with Chase, they STILL have not returned my funds. On XX/XX/XXXX a branch XXXX for one of the XXXX XXXX locations ( XXXX XXXX ) told me that the checks were on their way. It is now XX/XX/XXXX, the checks have not arrived, and I truly doubt that the checks will ever arrive. When I asked for tracking numbers, Chase Support told me via a XXXX XXXX that the checks had been sent via XXXX and that there are no tracking numbers. Chase Bank has stolen over {$140000.00} from my businesses. I would like my money back. I have also filed a complaint with the California Attorney General 's office.

My XXXX signed a power of attorney for me to handle all transactions that I needed to handle with real estate listing the home banking everything so I am in a very, very bad situation and tried to reach out to some attorneys but they want cash upfront they said, as soon as you get the money released, give us a call and then will take the personal injury case because you have suffered over a half {$1.00} XXXX in damages for your pain and suffering and XXXX and loss of all of your property and clothing and documents and pictures and family and friends that I had to borrow money from to try to stay afloat and hotel rooms your Not welcome after so long youve overstayed youre welcome and youre borrowing power and youre treated like an outcast when youre broke and sad I need a little money till they clear me at the bank. Well they long to little bit and a little bit more until they say no were going on three weeks. Credit cards are maxed out cant make my minimum monthly payments And the house was sold XX/XX/XXXX and I need to purchase a house or Im gon na be responsible for a lot of tax money and I dont think Chase cares about anything reached out to corporate offices in XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX They dont wan na hear about it. This is so unbelievable I really need somebody to help me. They said you need to file a complaint like Im doing right now within 180 days or you gon na lose your money, that doesnt seem fair when I go into the bank daily crying. Ive stopped doing that the last couple weeks just embarrassed. Dont have clothes to change into. Its so bad that I need help. Ive reached out now to the attorney general and to you and hopefully one of you can get them to release my funds, there has to be a governing agency for the banking industry. If you can supply me with the name of that organization, I dont think its FDIC but there is got to be banking regulators out there they can contact them to see why wont you release her money to her please see what you can do to help me

Consumer Complaint: On or around XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered a series of fraudulent transactions that occurred with my Chase accounts while I was on vacation overseas. This was directly tied to a series of mail theft that was happening in my building and surrounding area during this time. Two of my accounts, a personal checking account and a business checking account were both affected. Chase unilaterally decided to close my business checking account while keeping my personal checking account active. They suspended the funds in the personal account while issuing a refund for the business checking account in the form of a mailed check. This was explicitly against my instructions and intentions as I had no way of retrieving any form of payment, and due to ongoing mail theft, it was unlikely that this would be a safe method that would not be intercepted. Upon my return back to XXXX XXXX in XXXX, the check had not arrived. Chase did not take the necessary precautions to safeguard and disburse my account funds in instances of mail and identity theft. I attest that, to this day, I have not received or redeemed my business checking funds from the account that Chase decided to unilaterally close. I escalated this with their team repeatedly over the course of XXXX and XXXX to no avail. The Chase branch where this happened could not help me resolve it either. On three separate visits to the Chase branch previously located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX ( where some of this identity theft and fraud happened ), their customer service team called the Chase fraud department in an attempt to resolve this. On or about XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, during a branch visit, XXXXhase confirmed that they would be sending a new check for the balance on my business checking account, for a total of {$6400.00} and some change to a different address that is considered safe and secure. This was confirmed by the representative at Chase ( XXXX XXXX ). To date, no such check was sent, and attempts to reach them since have gone unanswered. With the branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX closed, I have limited recourse as my primary contact there is nowhere to be found.
