Issue: Problem caused by your funds being low
Subissue: Overdrafts and overdraft fees
Consumer Complaint: XXXX made a fraud charge to my account when I discovered it. When I spoke with customer service, they stated they could only adjust one because that was her limit. So she transferred me to her supervisor, who could fix the remaining fees. So when I spoke to the supervisor, she said she could not credit the other 9 fees because the charge was in dispute now, and the dispute department would credit them. So she transferred me to that department, and they had a 40 min wait time, so I waited. After waiting for one ( 1 ) hour and 30 minutes later, the bank dropped me because they said the department had closed. I called back the following week asking for a resolution, and more fees were hitting my account from ACH-predated drafts. They told me again to wait until the dispute was resolved. I did my part and felt they were fraudulently trying to overdraft my account. I reported the unauthorized charge and the overdrafts. Chase bank refused to credit my account for all the overdraft fees that occurred since I reported the fraudulent charge from XXXX to the present. Know that my account was charged for a service that I didnt authorize, it is a fraud charge. I have escalated this matter to the executive office, and they will not credit the overdraft fees. My account has been high-jacked by Chase, and I have credit obligations to pay for with this account. I expressed on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX that my account has been in limbo because they are investigating this issue, and as a result, more fees are compounding. I refused to pay for any overdraft fees on this account!

Consumer Complaint: As a result of Unauthorized fraudulent operation using fake ID and Stolen telephone number/duplicate SIM card ( Identity theft ) JP Morgan Chace bank employees allowed cash withdrawals from my checking and saving accounts and wire transfer from my saving accounts. Most of my lifetime savings {$100000.00} were wire transferred without proper verification. This transaction was unusual, out of pattern and out of my ordinary account use practices and out of state where I reside. It took XX/XX/22 and XX/XX/22. I started claim with Chace Bank XX/XX/22. Cash withdrawal already returned to my accounts. But most of my savings {$100000.00} are not returned. I faced significant difficulty with processing of my claim from Chace personnel, especially Claims department. I could not obtain accurate instructions of what document need to be submitted for review and status of my claim. I am unable to obtain information about progress of my wire transfer claim and reason for delays.

I am mediately typed no And then I typed know two more times and received a response from Chase saying they would cancel my card and start the investigation. Now they say because I typed yes that they are not going to refund my money and that I couldve been shopping online. They will not provide me with any information on the transaction. Other than it was charged in XXXX in XXXX. I can see that its for so-called real estate services which is a laugh. I dont travel. I am XXXX living on Social Security a very unusual charge. The same day that this happened. I went immediately to the bank and spoke to a lovely woman whoms card. I have attached. She said she could clearly see that this was fraud, called the fraud department, and they were extremely rude, and would refuse to provide me information about the claim, such as was it purchased online in person or over the phone. They did not have my pin number and were supposed to mail me documents about the claim and its been 15 days Ive received nothing. I filed a police report and Im taking it back to the woman at the bank that I spoke with now twice she has tried her best to get them to escalate it, and even the bank manager does not understand, because it is a blatant fraud.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I woke to a text by Chase Bank about potentially fraudulent activity on my credit card. Upon checking my statement I noticed 2 charges in XXXX on my account statement, XXXX ( uploaded document ) XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX I live in XXXX XXXX but I was vacationing in New York, which is evident in XXXX XXXX in XXXX leading up to XX/XX/XXXX, including a legitimate purchase I made at XXXX in New York that same morning, below : XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NY XXXX XXXX have also attached my flight info demonstrating that I was in New York XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Supporting this, several legitimate purchases I made in New York leading up to XX/XX/XXXX are shown in this same credit card statement attached. Please note that the only charge listed in Texas after XX/XX/XXXX was XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX, where I paid a toll for my car online. I spoke with Chase on XX/XX/XXXX, where Chase insisted that those charges in XXXX, TX could not be fraudulent and that they must have been made with a physical credit card. I informed the employee that I had my card with me during my entire trip in New York, and this is evident by the purchases I made described above, the flight information, and it is physically impossible for me to have both made the ( legitimate ) XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NY XXXX purchase in New York the same morning the fraudulent charges in XXXX were XXXX. Despite this aforementioned evidence, I received a notice on XX/XX/XXXX that states for both fraudulent transactions, " You are responsible for the following transaction ( s ) '' with the explanation being " You received benefit from this transaction. '' I have been a loyal Chase customer for several years, never missing a payment, and my first time being a victim of fraud Chase accuses me of benefitting. I am requesting an apology and my money back for these fraudulent charges.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX billed us for another customer debts and suspended my lines twice alleging that an old bill has not been duly paid off by our bank ( which I guess is not true as every bill was on Autopay by JP Morgan Chase Bank XXXX and we paid JP Morgan Chase statements ). I reported the case to the FCC, to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, & XXXX XXXX Offices. XXXX answered to them that JP Morgan Chase XXXX our bank ) did not pay to them, even invoking that the mention by them of another bank ( XXXXXXXX XXXX ), a phone line that is not mine ( ending XXXX, which appears to be of a XXXX City Attorney, and XXXX billed me ex post for a charge back of that line ) were " mistakes ''. Previously to complain, we have been on the line with XXXX for 17 hours in total and they did not fix their issues, we spoke with JP Morgan Chase and they assured to us that no payment had been reversed, and I believe them. But as XXXX insists that JP Morgan Chase did not pay to them, and on letters ( in writing ) to Federal Agencies and General Attorney Offices, I file this complaint.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I entered XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX New Jersey branch of Chase ( where I have an account ) and tried to make a deposit of {$500.00} in cash with XXXX of the machines that is situated inside the branch. There was a malfunction of this machine which took my money but then proceeded to shut down and did not give me credit for the cash that I deposited. I approached XXXX of the tellers who explained to me that they do not have access to these machines, I was told I needed to call Chase and lodge a complaint and a case would be opened, The teller tried to assure me that there would be a video of me at the machine and and reconciliation of money in the machine not credited would then be credited to my account. I left the bank and did call Chase, a difficult option in and of itself. After more than XXXX hours waiting on the phone I was finally connected to an agent who agreed to open a case with my complaint. Within 12 hours I was credited for the {$500.00} cash deposit. On XXXX XXXX XXXX the bank reversed the credit. I am no longer in New Jersey by this branch. ( If I were, I would approach the branch itself and demand retribution ). I have started communicating with Chase through their on line app with secure messages. Their initial response was " Your calim was reverse because we were uable to locate the fund. we do apology for the inconvenience. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach out to us. '' Please note, this is a direct quote, spelling and grammatical errors are theirs. Needless to say, I was not satisfied with this response, I responded further with what the teller told me at the time of deposit ; that upon opening the machine the'lost ' money would be found and credited against my account based upon my claim and a video of the machine at the time I made the deposit. To which they replied " Unfortuatey this is not something we are able to process '' I have worked in accounting for XXXX years and I do understand reconciliations. Either someone from the bank stole my money upon opening the machine and finding extra money not accounted for, or more likely, it was credited to a general accout and no one has dug deep enough to find to whom it actually belongs. Chase is a big bully and there is not much I can do against them accept close my account with them, which I will do the next time I am in New Jersey. But I would appreciate a higher authority to enforce them to do a better reconciliation of unaccounted monies deposited in faulty machines. I would also like to see them fined for allowing faulty machines to operate and steal money from the public.
