Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: The collection agency has filed a collection under my name with the original collections as XXXX XXXX ( an account from XXXX ) for {$460.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX, I filed a police report stating identity theft for this specific account. I filed the claim with the credit bureaus in XXXX. In XXXX, I disputed, the bureaus and police investigated and the collection account was motioned as a FRAUDULENT CHARGE as a product of my identity being stolen. The collection account was removed from my credit report. I have already filed a dispute with the credit bureaus, filed another police report, received the first police report, and filed complaints to the attorney general, FTC, and CFPB for this collection against XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and they had issue finding the an account as I suspect and did not resolve any of my concerns.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX about having debts that I 've already paid deleted from my credit, however the representative told me that they can not delete from my report eventhough I 've already paid. They also told me that only the credit bureaus can delete this from my credit, however I pad convergent for the debt I owed them. This is causing a severe negative impact on my credit which is preventing me from obtaining a loan. Convergent uses XXXX ( an email verification system ) and can delete directly, however they refuse to do so.

Consumer Complaint: After looking at my credit report on XXXX XXXX it shows a debt that I already disputed and had removed from my report. I have never had XXXX XXXX nor do I owe them. I was never contacted by the new collection agency by mail or phone to make me aware they were putting this on my credit report. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a debt of {$260.00} appeared on my credit report, the company name convergent outsourcing placed a debt that had already been disputed back in XXXX of 2017 and ultimately deleted on to my experian credit report with no notification or letters that would have given me an opportunity to dispute, deny or pay this debt if I knew anything about it. It is my belief that this collection agency and credit bureau are practicing unfair business practices and I plan to sue both companies if this is not deleted immediately.
