Consumer Complaint: I am in the progress of trying to fix my credit. I Noticed a collection on my account from a Convergent Outsourcing , INC . I never did any business with them and notice they said they were trying to collect a debt from when I had XXXX. To which I closed and paid my final bill. So i know I do not owe them anything. I sent them a certified letter with they account number that they have posted on my credit report asking for Validation of the debt. In accordance with 15 U.S. Code 1692g, I requested verification of the debt, including the age of the debt, an itemized statement of what is owed, the name and address of the original creditor, and evidence that I am legally responsible for the debt. I asked that if they do not have this information then to please remove it off my credit report. They have not responded to my letter as of today.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2018, I ended my 15 year relationship with XXXX. A few years prior I had negotiated getting every channel for {$100.00} a month. When this offer ended I switched my service, and I wound up paying various amounts every month from XXXX to nearly XXXX a month. In XX/XX/2018 XXXX approximately ) I called XXXX to cancel my service, since I used to get every channel for {$100.00} a month and I was now paying almost 2.5x 's more while getting far fewer channels. The lady I spoke with said she could put me back on the {$100.00} a month for every channel plan, so I agreed. About two weeks later I got a letter from XXXX telling me they wouldn't honor the deal I made with one of their representatives. They attached an agreement to this correspondence saying they could do it for {$150.00} a month, and they wanted my signature on the agreement. As soon as I was able XXXX a couple of days ) I took all the equipment in my housed brought it to the XXXX store nearest my house and cancelled my service. About a month later I received a bill from XXXX for termination fee. They have never stopped. Other than my I initially started my service with XXXX, I never signed an agreement with them. All deals were made over the phone, and I was never late nor ever missed a single payment. I don't owe XXXX anything. They broke the deal, not me. They then had the audacity to send this bogus charge off for debt collectors, who constantly harassed we and my family. Now they have sent a Major Derogatory alert to the credit bureaus, damaging my excellent credit rating that took me years to build. I owe XXXX nothing. I hope the CFPB can force XXXX and Convergent Outsourcing to retract the Major Derogatory from all the major credit bureaus, and once and for all cease and desist from harassing a former loyal customer just because that customer finally decided to end their association with their greedy corporation. Thank You, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, MI XXXX
