Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I AM IN THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING A HOME AND WAS PROVIDED A FULL COPY OF MY CREDIT REPORT. AFTER VERIFYING MY REPORT, I NOTICED SEVERAL UNRECOGNIZED NEGATIVE ITEMS THAT ARE PREVENTING ME FROM OBTAINING A MORTGAGE. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE CFPB WEBSITE AND FOLLOWED THE STEPS TO HAVE THESE ACCOUNTS VALIDATE AND/OR DELETED FROM MY REPORT. FOUR MONTH LATER I FIND MYSELF WITH LITTLE TO NO RESPONSE FROM THE BUREAUS. THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO SEVERAL LETTERS I SENT AND HAVE NOT PROVIDED DOCUMENTATION TO CLARIFY/SUPPORT THESE ACCOUNTS. I HAVE PROVIDED ALL THE DOCUMENT NEEDED TO PROCESS MY REQUEST WITH NO SUCCESS. PLEASE FIND THESE DOCUMENT ATTACHED TO MY DISPUTE.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX convergent outsourcing XXXX opened XX/XX/XXXX reported XX/XX/XXXX amount {$1100.00}. I had emergency to come up where I had to move immediately. I packed of XXXX XXXX equipment and contacted them and told them to come pick up the equipment at the location in which it was installed. They said they would come pick it up but never showed up. I contacted XXXX XXXX again and told them i have the equipment packed for someone to please come out and pick it up off the porch because I have to leave the location due to an extreme emergency they agreed. From my understanding they were suppose to come and pick it up and if they didnt it is on them for agreeing to pick up their property on time.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, Convergent Outsourcing Inc ( COI ) added an account of {$770.00} to my XXXX and XXXX reports from the original creditor XXXX. This is an old account that has been disputed, deleted, and now reinserted back onto my reports this year. Based on FCRA, its unlawful for them to add old accounts back without any notification within 5 days and i received no notification. I have disputed this account again with the creditor and the credit reporting agencies to validate this information and no response have been provided. Due to that fact, this negative information can not be reported back onto my reports and need to be removed based on reinsertion rules in the FCRA.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING, INC a Collection Agency for XXXX XXXX refuse to remove a PAID collection from my report. The debt was not a valid loan and should not be on my credit report. After I paid my account in full, I sent the equipment back. After several months, they sent me a bill for {$60.00} saying some of the equipment was missing. I paid this account in full because I didn't wa n't to deal with them. They removed the account fully from XXXX but not from XXXX or XXXX. This was not the valid definition of debt and they used my credit report as leverage to pay for equipment I turned in. This is an unfair practice.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I have sent three letters to this company to verify the debt via certified mail and they have not responded to me at all. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act if a company does not verify a debt within 30 days they have to remove it which I have confirmation with the USPS that they have received multiple letters from me and they have failed to response with any information verifying the debt showing my signature and that I owe them any money. They also have failed to remove the account from my credit reports.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Old information reappears or never goes away
Consumer Complaint: On and for the record, I initiated a formal dispute with CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING regarding the alleged debt and inaccurate derogatory mark listed on my Credit report in XX/XX/2020. I gave CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING 30 days to show evidence of the alleged debt obligation in accordance with FCRA and FDCPA. After FAILING to provide the requested evidence, I sent another letter giving CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING an additional 15 days to validate / verify the alleged debt evidenced by Certified Mail number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. After Failing to provide evidence of the alleged debt within the initial 30 days and 15 day extension, I sent a THIRD letter evidenced by Certified mail number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX where I demanded that they request the UNVERIFIED Derogatory mark be deleted from my Credit reports. CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING FAILED to Validate the alleged debt AND FAILED to remove the mark from my credit reports. I then sent a letter to the Credit Bureaus regarding the alleged debt but the Credit Bureaus failed to remove it despite the fact that CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING has FAILED to Validate the alleged debt. It has now been 6 MONTHS and CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING has still FAILED to validate the debt in accordance with FCRA and FDCPA. CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING is using Unfair and Deceptive business practices and it is severely hindering my ability to obtain credit. PLEASE HELP
