Consumer Complaint: I received a collection account from Convergent Outsourcing Inc and I requested.a validation of the account letter, Convergent responded with account summary and order statements from XXXX. After analyzing the items order statements, I discovered that the address, which XXXX claim to have shipped the items and the date does not match up. The address is : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX According to the items order statements, items ordered at various date though all in the year XXXX and shipped to the above post office box. To my records, the post office box was opened on XX/XX/XXXX. So, there is no way items could have been sent to the post office while I didn't have the PO BOX yet. I asked Convergent Outsourcing to provide more information on the debt they are attempting to collect but I received the same documents and with letter stating the account is valid.

Consumer Complaint: I've looked at my credit report closely and noticed that XX/XX/XXXX I first disputed Convergent for the amount of {$800.00} because I was aware I owed no one and never heard of this company. I didn't follow-up because I just knew it wasn't mine!. After Covid crisis XXXX offered free credit reports in XXXX. Once again, I saw this same name and amount XX/XX/XXXX I filed a dispute. Again, XX/XX/XXXX with information attached to show no equipment charges were on my account along with the return XXXX label for the device in question I shipped back to XXXX. This was to no avail. I did the same disputed information with XXXX again XX/XX/XXXX to no avail. I received a letter from Convergent XX/XX/XXXX asking to mail or email proof if I had it. ( Mind you, this had already been done ) That same day I sent the email and waited for response. XX/XX/XXXX I received the exact same letter from Convergent as on XX/XX/XXXX. No problem, I sent the email again with a follow-up call asking if there was someone I could speak with to verify emails were received. No one knew who I was or what I was talking about. XX/XX/XXXX Same routine at Convergent, first asking me to pay the debt I don't owe, then not knowing who I am, or what documents/emails I'm talking about. After a bit, oh we'll expedite info to XXXXXXXX for removal from your credit file and send you follow-up email. XX/XX/XXXX call back and no one has previous information. She said she has to send me a packet to fill out, but never did. XX/XX/XXXX Called XXXX, rep said she take a look at XXXX trk # send it to escalation it should take XXXX days, she'll send an email. That email said they couldn't find equipment ( IMEI ), they were looking for a device number not the XXXX tracking number I provided. I called back XX/XX/XXXX because I didn't hear about the XXXX #. They told me then, it was too old. I was told because the account no longer belonged to XXXX, there was nothing more they could do. She did verify that this was about the return of the wi-fi device and that at that time it was {$100.00}. I told her I have provided my proof of returning the device, I'm not responsible what happens after it leaves my home. She was supposed to verify with XXXX the tracking number but never got back with me.

Consumer Complaint: Original Debtor, XXXX, keeps changing collection agencies to illegally re-start the clock on a debt thats several years old. Current collection agency, Convergent Outsourcing, Inc, also refuses to correct the dates of the history of the account. XXXX refuses to verify the correct age of the account. Ive asked for documentation of verification numerous times. Nothing!! Ive also disputed the history of the account with XXXX ( the most unscrupulous credit bureau ) several times as well to no avail! The dates and history of this are incorrect and no documentation has been forwarded to me for verification. No account numbers or phone numbers. Nothing. No contact information for the collection agency either.

Consumer Complaint: Im a victim of identity theft and I dont recognize one or more of the accounts on my report. I have notified this creditor of the inaccuracy and they have not ceased reporting this information. CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING, INC. has account s assigned under my name on XX/XX/2020 and XX/XX/2020. Before this occurred, a fraud alert was placed on my accounts by all three credit bureaus. I have since been unable to stop the collection agency from reporting this misinformation to the credit bureaus and harshly affecting my credit profile.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing Inc dated XXXX XX/XX/2020 notifying me a XXXX account I had was sent to collections. I never got a final bill from XXXX, but that is another discussion. On XXXX XX/XX/2020 I got a call on my cell phone demanding payment from the same company. This violated the 30 day validation period that began XXXX XXXX per the notification letter. I confronted the collector on this and was sent to a supervisor. The supervisor denied the violation and again demanded payment. I requested a breakdown validating the balance, and was told that would have to come from XXXX as the collector can not furnish one. I confronted them on the fact the collector is obligated per FDCPA to furnish the breakdown when disputed and requested. They denied that as well. There are FDCPA violatio ns : 1. Initiating contact inside the 30 day validation period. 2. Refusing to provide an account breakdo wn validating the debt.
