Consumer Complaint: While checking my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered that there is a collection on my report from a company named Convergent Outsourcing for {$950.00}. I called them and they mentioned it was from XXXX. I was surprised because I'm a client of XXXX and have been since XXXX and I pay my monthly bill and had no past due balances, and they were not calling me to collect any debt. So, I called XXXX. After talking to 5 or 6 different people from XXXX, they determine that the collection balance was related to the fact that I transferred my account when I moved using the mobile app and according to them, that created a new account in their system and, once I moved, I never knew they were charging me anything. Their explanation makes no sense to me. Why would XXXX have an application to transfer services when you move and then penalize you by opening a new account and left hanging the old account to create charges for equipment not returned, and a snowball of charges and penalties unknown to me? On top of that, they had me and have me as a client!! XXXX could have called me and send me letters to my current account and address ( which is what they should have done by consolidating the 2 accounts when I moved like I have done on other occasions in previous moves ). To add insult to injury they sent the old address account to collections seriously impacting my credit not only for an incorrect amount but without my knowledge and without giving me a chance to dispute it. They have violated so many consumer protocols!!! And when you call either Convergent or XXXX, they give you tons of excuses but don't solve the problem they created. On my first dispute, they reduced the {$950.00} alleged debt to {$370.00} without any explanation and when I called to ask about the new balance NO ONE could explain why. At this juncture, I want the collection to be erased from my credit. If these companies can be penalized under the FCRA or any other law, I want them to be fined as well. It is very unfair to ruin a current customer 's credit by reporting a collection that they created and that is not only inaccurate it is simply wrong and non-existent for an equipment that they know I have and use within the new account that I've had with them for XXXX years before they reported the collection.

Consumer Complaint: I had a student loan thru XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX which i went to in XXXX and completed in XXXX. My original loan balance was XXXX and I started paying them XX/XX/XXXX. The loan was serviced by XXXX XXXX. I paid {$96.00} a month sometimes more, {$120.00}. I started my loan payments immediately and never missed a payment. I paid them off in XXXX. They were great and never had an issue with them. the rest of the tuition was covered by XXXX XXXX as I was a single mom and qualified for assistance. The problem is XXXX XXXX XXXX went out of business after that. There was some fraud issues and they kept poor records thus abruptly shut down. I paid all my obligations to them via governement grants and student loans. I have all documentation and the contract that shows this. Collection agencies purchased their debt and have been harrassing me for the student loan amount saying that I still owe it. I have told them on several occasions that it is false as I was still paying on the student loan debt and paid it off. They filed derogetory marks on my credit which i disputed with proper documentation and had removed. The debt has been sold to 3 debt collection companies ... the last one is CONVERGENT XXXX. Says creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX. They say i owe them {$2700.00} which was my loan balance from XXXX at the time XXXX when out of business. This is a scam. They have been harrasing and threatening me continuously. Calling my home, work, moms work etc. I told them my debt was paid in full and have proof and they said this is double jeapardy and i still owe them. They are aggressive and slander me in the calls. This is unacceptable. I am a XXXX mom and have worked so hard to keep my credit perfect and pay my debt. This is ridiculous.

Consumer Complaint: I wrote Convergent Outsourcing who are associated with XXXX regards to an a account in collections on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX asking for a debt Validation. On all 4 attempts they refused me of a debt Validation and Verified the debt. Debt validation and verification of debt are two different requests. As a consumer I am entitled to a validation. In all for of my letters I specify that I want a validation and not a verification. I wrote it in English words. Also they are reporting on my credit profile that day opened for the debt was XX/XX/XXXX which is not true account was opened XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX. The day opened should not go off when Convergent received the debt, date opened should go off when the actual debt was opened. That is called Re-Aging the debt. As a consumer I am entitled to validation which was not given by Convergent Outsourcing or XXXX on 4 different occasions. As a consumer I am entitled to factual & truthful information to report on my credit profile according to FCRA. The 45day day mark has come & gone for the company to validate the debt. Its XX/XX/XXXX and the company has yet to validate the debt since I first wrote them on XX/XX/XXXX. I have all the paper work Ive sent them and all the paper work they sent to me and the 2times they responded they responded with debt verification which is not a validation.

Consumer Complaint: RE : Attentively review my formal writ composed declaration of not proven complaint misinformation that is all or in part : deficient of the adequate current status in the fullness of TRUTH, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, documented OWNERSHIP, certifiable RESPONSIBILITY, or otherwise irrefutable, complaint obligatory, and regulatory requisite reporting thereby mandating your immediate actions to rectify and remedy and any infractions behavior ( s ) by retaining or returning to demonstrate TRUE, CORRECT, COMPLETE, and COMPLAINT METRO 2 data field formatted reporting!!! I am a victim of identity- theft, I am writing to request that you block all accounts disputed as fraudulent on my credit reports with XXXX XXXX XXXX , and XXXX. This information does not relate to any transactions I have made. I did not give anyone authorization or consent to use my personal information. I hereby exercise my legal rights enacted by Congress and The Federal Trade Commission, which explicitly states when a victim of identity-theft dispute a fraudulent account on his/her credit report it shall be honored by all credit bureaus and all fraudulent information should be blocked within 4 days and proper notification shall be given to all data furnishers pursuant to section 605b of The Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. Failure to comply shall lead to complaints being filed with The Better Business Bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and Attorney General stating your companys unlawful collection practices, misrepresentation of creditworthiness, defamation of character, and noncompliance to abide by laws enacted by Congress to protect victims of identity-theft who's credit been impacted by acts of fraud. Because I know my rights under THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT, CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION ACT ( CCPA ), and FAIR and ACCURATE CREDIT TRANSACTION ACT of 2003 ( FACTA ). I will be taking action. I also know my rights under this paragraph of Section 312 of the FACTA LAW : SEC.312. Procedures to enhance the accuracy and integrity of information furnished to consumer reporting agencies. ( b ) duty of furnishers to provide accurate information. -- Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) of THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT ( 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) is amended ( 1 ) in subparagraph ( A ), by striking " knows or consciously avoids knowing the information is inaccurate '' and inserting " knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate '', and ( 2 ) by adding at the end of the following : ( D ) DEFINITION -- For purposes of subparagraph ( A ), the term 'reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate ' means having specific knowledge, other than solely allegations by the consumer, that would cause a reasonable person to have substantial doubts about the accuracy of information. Policy states. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRA 611 ( 15 U.S.C 1681 ), Procedure In Case of Disputed Accuracy. ( a ) Reinvestigation ( 1 ) Reinvestigation ( a ) In general. Subject to Subsection ( f ), if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumers file at a consumer agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such dispute, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph ( 5 ), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller. Therefore, my position is being clearly stated, these accounts do not belong to me, meaning that you are reporting inaccurate account information within my credit file. The fact that these are inaccurate account information means that you, this credit-reporting agency, are reporting incorrect accounts. Finally, you are reporting the INQUIRIES that are the result of the same type of fraudulent activities. It must be noted that I did not apply for credit accounts with the below-listed companies and creditors, some of these are the result of attempts to open accounts, but the companies did not approve the accounts. Therefore, these inquiries must be deleted from within my credit file. You can not delete the fraudulently opened accounts without also deleting the fraudulent inquiries. It should be noted that an inquiry that was not made by me is not a factual record, just as a fraudulently opened account is not a factual record and not referred to the creditor to be disputed directly with them. The credit reporting agencies have attempted to address an inquiry as a factual record of file access, but if it was done through fraudulent means, it is not a factual record. As a consumer, I should not be required to dispute each fraudulent inquiry directly with each company. These inquiries are the result of fraudulent activity and therefore, inaccurate in which the credit reporting agencies or the creditors can not verify, meaning that these inquiries are unverifiable information and must be deleted from my credit files. 1. CONVERGENT OUTSOURCI bal. {$2200.00} I am well aware of my rights as a consumer. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that you, the credit-reporting agency report accurate and/or correct account information within my credit file. My credit issues are very specific, these accounts and/or items do not belong to me. This means that you are reporting incorrect account information within my credit report. It is this in mind that I request that these listed accounts and items be Blocked and Deleted. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRA, Section 1681c ( 2 ) Block of information resulting from identity theft. 1.Block. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a consumer reporting shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from alleged identity theft, not later than four ( 4 ) business days after the date receipt by such agency of 1. Appropriate proof of identity of the consumer ; 2. A copy of an identity theft report 3. The identification of such information by the consumer ; and 4. A statement by the consumer that the information relating to the transaction by the consumer. I have provided all of the above listed four ( 4 ) items within this package. Therefore, I expect these listed accounts to be deleted and blocked within ( 4 ) business days. This is clearly an identity theft issue. I am also entitled to receive a free copy of my credit report, so I am requesting a free credit report and that all of these accounts, public records items, and inquiries be permanently blocked and deleted. Consumer Complaint: On my current credit report, it is stating that owe XXXX on a XXXX balance with XXXX. This was with a previous collection agency with whom I settled this debt for XXXX dollars on XX/XX/17. I received email confirmation that this debt has been settled with XXXX for XXXX and that no further collections will be pressured unless perhaps I decide to rejoin services with XXXX which i have not. I do not understand why I am still being gone after for the remaining balance. I have the bank statement of the XXXX being taken out by the collection agency and the email confirmation proving debt was paid. I dont understand why there is a collection for the remaining balance. I have proof and I want this off my record.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter that is asking to collect a debt for what looks to be a credit card. The collection is supposed to be associated with XXXX. The card number starts XXXX, which is typically with XXXX. I contacted XXXX because I have only had one credit card with them and they have nothing else under my name or social. I contacted them today, XX/XX/21. I also researched and see that this company XXXX Convergent XXXX generally has a client reference number in the upper right hand corner and this letter I reviewed does not. I received the letter today XX/XX/21. The letter immediately asks for a reduced settlement amount and an apartment number. I dont have an apartment number. The contact number is XXXX and the address is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, PA XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I had a rental property in XXXX, Georgia from XXXX to XXXX till XX/XX/XXXX. The utilities company was XXXX XXXX XXXX. I started received collection notices from Convergent Outsourcing Inc in XXXX from bills from XXXX XXXX XXXX that they said I owe. They reported the unpaid debts to reporting agencies few times. I wrote few letters to them about the bills & asked for the authentication of the debts and finally after providing all the documents requested by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Police report from my home residence, sale documents of the property in XXXX ) they sent me a letter in XX/XX/XXXX that the account is not mine. But Convergent Outsourcing Inc. are still trying to mess up with my credit reports. Once a while they re-aged the debts and reported to reporting agencies then took it out after I dispute it. It's happened a couple times & they still tried to call me as recently as last year. Yesterday I received another collection bill from Convergent dated XX/XX/XXXX. I am really sick & tired with these harassments. Please help me to put an end to it & this Company is need to be warned & penalize for abusing my right.
