Consumer Complaint: My dispute is regarding a collection account showing on my credit report from Convergent Outsourcing , Inc in the amount of {$7000.00}, originally from XXXX, which I do not believe I owe. I have disputed this account directly with them and even hired a company to assist me with no result. They were informed that I dispute the debt and that I never received proof that I owed this debt, they were also informed that I will not pay until I received proof that in fact I owed XXXX {$7000.00}. Still they continue to report this account on my credit reports and this situation have negative impacted my credit and have created a lot of emotional stress. I am requesting your assistance in enforcing this company to comply with my request or delete their trade line from my credit reports. Thank you

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: The debt in question was billed in error. My employer ( XXXX / XXXX ) offered courtesy services but the service was not coded to waive the monthly fee. I cancelled the service when I found out this was not a covered expense, but the bill lingered for months despite multiple attempts for my employer to correct it. When separated from the company this bill was sold to a 3rd party debt collection company in error as part of a bulk sale of debt accounts because it showed as over 6 months old. My previous employer no longer had access to correct it. When I disputed it with the collection agency they sent me a copy of a bill stating it was proof of the debt, not the original contract or the cancellation docs which were all dated within the cancellation period.

Consumer Complaint: Im confused and XXXX and shocked when I reviewed my credit report this week and I found multiple inaccuracies on my credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus from a collection company that I never have dealt with before. I've attempted several times to ratify the issue with the original creditors and credit bureaus and they still reporting inaccurate, unverifiable information. I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6. Please provide a complete account history, including any charges added for collection activity. You have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to provide strict proof of contract. In the event you can not provide strict proof of contract, you must cease and desist any and all collection efforts and immediately remove any derogatory information reported to the consumer reporting agencies. In addition, you will need to provide me your agreement, in writing, that you are closing your file, ceasing collecting activity, and deleting all information related to this reference number from any and all credit reports youve furnished the information to. In the event you transfer this account to an attorney without providing proof of contract, and proving your claim, he/she will be immediate reported to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX for code of ethics violations.

When I moved into my new place in XXXX I called XXXX to setup service and they informed me I had this debt and needed to take care of it. It is still being reported as of now, XX/XX/2021, after repeated calls to both companies.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: XXXX charged off this debt. There has been 3 other collection agencies over the years that have attempted to collect this debt that they paid for pennies on the dollar. None of them had the original agreement signed by me to the original debtor. I had never heard from Convergent Outsourcing until I saw that they were reporting on my credit reports that I owe them a debt. I have signed no agreement with Convergent Outsourcing , Inc and do not owe any debt to them. Without the initial signed written agreement between me and XXXX XXXX or a signed agreement between me and Convergent Outsourcing proving that I owe a debt to Convergent Outsourcing Inc., which is the only approved means to validate a debt with the FDCPA. I have written Convergent Outsourcing Inc., several times through certified mail requesting that they provide me with the original agreement signed by me to the original debtor that gives Convergent Outsourcing authority to claim this debt. Convergent Outsourcing must not be reading my certified letters because they continue to send me copies of old 2017 statements from XXXX XXXX that they paid pennies on the dollar for, and that is not VALIDATING that I owe Convergent Outsourcing INC anything. All that proves is that they paid pennies on the dollar for a debt that XXXX XXXX charged off the debt as a business loss. I have requested that they remove the derogatory mark as a collections on my credit reports on the 3 Credit Bureaus. They have not done so but continue to report false information that I owe them a debt and that is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and defamation of character. I repeat ... Convergent Outsourcing Inc has not proven that I owe them a debt. They have not provided the one source of proof that is the original agreement signed by me to the original debtor, XXXX XXXX. Next step is to contact an attorney and file against Convergent Outsourcing Inc .

Consumer Complaint: I received a statement and or reduced balance opportunity, that doesn't coincide with your statement. However I'm given the option to agree with 70 % of total amount owed. Witch is still significantly still not a fair and accurate assessment. If said company were to look in depth, to recorded interactions, they would find where, there was more than minimal discrepancies when it came to customer support and care. Given the situation this opportunity is not acceptable and, I wish to pursue this further. Sincerely XXXX XXXX
