Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2021, I received a phone call from an agent with Convergent Outsourcing looking to collect on a XXXX Account. As I do with all calls of this nature, I informed them I do not discuss any billing / debt collection type information over the phone and they need to send me proof of the debt in writing and release from XXXX so I know I am paying them instead of XXXX, should any money be due. At that point, the agent informed me that they could " E-Mail '' the information over immediately so I could have an opportunity to clear this matter up. I reiterated that I only act on Documentation that is sent via US Mail. Since that time, I did not receive anything from them via Call or US Mail. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, Convergent Outsourcing posted the Collection account to all 3 Credit Reporting Agencies ( CRA ) which resulted in a significant negative impact on my Credit Scores. I received an alert of this posting on XX/XX/XXXX. I reached out to Convergent via phone and spoke with a XXXX. XXXX so I could find out what was going on. I was informed by her that I wasn't aware that this debt was due since I understood it to have already been paid for by XXXX XXXX XXXX during a Phone number Porting. I then asked what I need to do to remove this account from my CRA 's. She then informed me that the debt amount of {$500.00} is due to resolve this debt, that amount would need to be paid, however, they will not remove anything from the CRA 's. I did ask for validation from " XXXX '' that this debt is still due, and I am in contact with XXXX XXXX XXXX to determine what happened and if there is a disconnect on either side. I am also following up the verbal request for information with a physical letter sent via Certified Mail today.

Consumer Complaint: I'm registering my complaint against Convergent Outsourcing. This collection agency has reported with XXXX XXXX XXXX that I have a debt with XXXX XXXX in the amt of {$800.00}. This debt had appeared on my credit report about 2-1/2 years ago, and I disputed this debt on the grounds that I did not authorize service at my residence back in 2015. The XXXX XXXX debt was " Deleted '' by the collection agency that had purchased the debt from XXXX at that time. Now a NEW collection agency, has placed the " Deleted '' debt from XXXX on my report once again 2-1/2 years later. I am requesting that Convergent Outsourcing remove the XXXX XXXX debt from my credit report immediately. Convergent Outsourcing is also misrepresenting the debt, as if they purchased the debt from XXXX XXXX. It is very clear that this debt was already sold to another collection agency about 3 years ago. Furthermore, Convergent Outsourcing " NEVER '' sent me a notice of this debt " prior '' to reporting as a collection on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING, INC. placed a collection on 2 of the credit bureau XXXX and XXXX claiming I owe {$1700.00} from XXXX. They placed it on my credit file on XX/XX/XXXX, when it fact the debt was settled with XXXX for {$430.00} back in XXXX. Every year this company change the dated as if is new XXXX and placed it has a new account to the credit bureau. I never received any communication from this company. Back in XXXX, another collection agency reported it and XXXX and XXXX deleted it from my credit file. I do not owe this company the amount they are reporting no di I owe XXXX that amount either. I am placing a complaint against this company for reporting inaccurate information on my credit file with XXXX and XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Recently, I sent correspondence to the debt collection company Convergent to dispute the debt in question and request documentation that reflects that I owe the amount in question which is {$720.00}. Per request for documentation I was only sent a letter stating that an investigation was completed by Convergent and that there findings stated that I owe the debt, I am requesting those findings that convinced Convergent that I owe that debt. Also, this account is expired under the statue of limitation here in the State of Nevada for written and or verbal contracts. This account is reflecting on my credit report as a negative account, and if Convergent can not provide the legal documentation showing that this account has not expired under the statue of limitations in the State of Nevada and written proof that this is my account. Then I am requesting this account be removed from my credit report, and no further contact from this agency.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX between XXXX and XXXX I requested to close my XXXX account. Two weeks later my account was still open and they said I have a balance due. I pay the balance and requested my account to be closed. About Two weeks later I received a new bill. The bill stated that I owe {$60.00} when I logged in to pay the bill the bill total was {$68.00}. I paid the bill the reference number is XXXX. I asked XXXX to provide proof that my account was closed and they sent me an email That did not represent XXXX. I told them I would like to close my account and every time I wanted to close my account they added a new bill. I paid the new bill and they never close the account dragging it for two months. This has caused me a large amount of stress I even stressed to XXXX that I do not want my stuff to go to a collection agency so I would like to pay everything and close my account. I received a bill on XX/XX/2021 and on XX/XX/XXXX, my account was sold to a collection agency which is less than 30 days and I am really confused because the bill was paid. The manipulative tactics they used on me for two months as I beg them to close my bill. This Has caused me so much stress to where I cant sleep or eat I am always thinking about why my account is not closed and why wouldnt they close it even though all bills were paid and nothing was the due. Every time I requested to close my account they added a new bill. Ive been requesting to close my bill from XX/XX/2021 to XX/XX/2021. Why does it take two months to close an account upon request even though account is paid in full? I it is unfair manipulative and deceptive for XXXX Not close my account on XX/XX/2021 and drag my account for two months forcing me to pay What I dont owe In order to close it. How do you send me a final bill on XX/XX/2021 and it was sold to a debt collection agency before XX/XX/2021? Im really confused and I think this is very manipulative I am literally XXXX because of XXXX. When I called XXXX close my account, they asked me if I would recommend this service to friends and family and I told them no and They falsely made a debt and sent it to the collection agency a few weeks later.
