Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I see multiple 120 days late marks which is a clear violation of my right under the FCRA. The company has never responded to any of my attempts to obtain any proof or documentation that will prove this account is being reported accurately.

Consumer Complaint: In fall XXXX I noticed that several older payments in my Fed Loan Serving account, in the " Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) Payment Tracking '' were described as " Payment Is Pending Manual Review '' while I was trying to determine if they will count toward PSLF or TEPSLF. These payment dates range from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, and include approximately 26 payments. I called in the fall of XXXX, as well as in the Spring of XXXX, and again today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and each time have been told that there is no timeline for when this " manual review '' will be completed and was told today it may take over a year. The outcome of these payments greatly impacts financial decisions I will be making in the coming months, and I would like to know when it will be resolved. It's hard because I have received no definite timeline, and it's already been 9 months. These payments should count as PSLF qualifying payments, and I'd like the manual review to be completed so I can apply for PSLF in a timely manner when I am eligible. Thank you, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: For over 2.5 years I have been trying to get FedLoan to correct my payments for the PSLF program without any success. They payments have been incorrectly not counted after multiple attempts at resolution. Finally the counts were corrected, the issue is that I could have applied for PSLF in XXXX/XXXX XXXX XXXX, but the payment number was not corrected until late XX/XX/XXXX. I received a payment count update in XX/XX/XXXX which was missing around 17 months of payments. I then received another updated payment count in XX/XX/XXXX, showing the correct number of payments after almost three years of regularly communicating with FedLoan and getting nowhere. After all of that, they forgave one of my loan sequences, but then " inadvertently missed '' ( their words ) the other two large loan sequences for no reason. They simply didn't process my other two loans and have done nothing to ameliorate the situation.

Consumer Complaint: I am enrolled in the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program ( PSLF ). In XX/XX/2021, I submitted a paper ECF because my employer was not listed in the PSLF tool. It is a state agency. On XX/XX/2021, I sent in another ECF using the PSLF tool because my employer was now listed in the tool. The months of XXXX and XX/XX/2021 were certified within a week ( with the same employer! ). The months of XXXX and XX/XX/2021 are not certified because they were sent via paper application. I have 118 payments qualified for forgiveness and 123 in total. The delay in the XXXX and XX/XX/2021 certifications are causing a delay in my forgiveness. During the time it has taken for Fedloan and FSA to review my certifications, I have reached two additional payments eligible for certification. I am frustrated and concerned about a delay in my forgiveness due to a bureaucratic and illogical delay in my certification. My concern is increased with the forbearance due to Covid-19 being up in XXXX and with the news that PHEAA will end its service contract in XX/XX/2021. Please provide assistance in expediting my matter. I already have a FSA complaint and they have not assisted me in a timely fashion. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I recently submitted paperwork verifying my employment at a nonprofit organization to FedLoan after being moved to them upon request for PSLF. My initial verification for my previous non-profit job only shows 4 months of confirmed employment, but I was employed with this organization for 10 months and then moved to another nonprofit. My applications show this to be the case, but every time I contact their customer service ( through email, online chat, and calling ) I get a different answer on how to solve the problem, from submitting a new application to the wrong person signed it to the phone number missing from the application ( it wasn't ). I resubmitted the application, and now I am told it can not be digitally signed even though there is no digital signature for the application. I am at my wits end and have received no help that will actually solve the issue of the missing months of service with this organization. No wonder so many people don't get the right information about PSLF since its probably the most complicated system to verify regularly. I have to submit my tax information to be approved for IBR and PSLF, and it's the same EIN for the same employers on both my taxes and loans, so why does this have to be so complicated?

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, my husband and I took out loans for school in Pennsylvania. After many deferments and transfers from one service provider to another ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) we ended up with PHEAA/AES as our service provider. Since then, we have filed bankruptcy two times and the student loans are still owed. However there are many problems with this. My husband and I were both full-time students from XXXX through XXXX. There wouldve been a deferment were no interest with Charge. They were many years where we filed two separate bankruptcies where we shouldve been on deferment. They never claimed anything when we filed the bankruptcys. Yet they came back to try to collect after. It seems now they say theyre not a federal student loan so we dont qualify to waive our payments as everybody else has during Covid. Yet when it benefits them they claim it is a student loan so it cant be discharged in the bankruptcy. Very conflicting information. I dont understand how we took out a loan totaling {$6000.00} for the two of us back in XXXX and now after many years of deferments, forbearances, and any payments we made that we cant find where they went, they show we owe over {$19000.00}. Where have our payments gone? And why does it show we owe so much for me only took out {$6000.00}. They show the disbursement date is XXXX. That is a mistake. We relocated to Virginia in XXXX. The disbursement date wouldve been XXXX. Since the government has placed into law that student loan payments and interest would be on hold until the end of XXXX, AES started sending letters that we were past due in XXXX. I dont understand how this is possible if this is a federal student loan. Now the government states we dont have to pay loans until XXXX XXXX AES is still attempting to collect. We dont plan to make any further payments until we get some answers on where all the money has gone that we have paid.
