Consumer Complaint: I contacted Wells Fargo to request a payment plan and they never sent the appropriate documents for me to apply. Instead I began to get foreclosure notices. I felt there was nothing I could do but sell. I did not want to sell I wanted a way to catch up but was never offered any payment plan. Just continued notices of foreclosure. Once I requested to do a short sale Wells Fargo was XXXX in the spot. I took a {$60000.00} lost when my home was sold.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo has repeatedly hit my account with XXXX dollar overdraft fees even when my account had/has the money to purchase items. XXXX of 2023 I called Wells Fargo about my account being overdrawn with multiple late fees 2 were taken off. I did buy a budget book so that I may keep track of Wells Fargo and my account. This isn't the first time overdraft fees were added to my account as much as nearly as much as approximately XXXX XXXX in overdraft fees, this happened in I believe XXXX. I did call Wells Fargo to inquire about this lawsuit but no help or information was given, until I researched more myself and came here. I have been a member of Wells Fargo for some years. I bought a table from XXXX last month for approximately XXXX, a week or so later my account is hit with an overdraft fee by Wells Fargo. When I called Wells Fargo to complain the woman on the phone actually went back into my account a few months a took overdraft fees off my account.

Subissue: Deposits and withdrawals
Consumer Complaint: I bank with XXXX so I rely on brick and mortar banks to withdraw cash. On XX/XX/2023 around XXXX, I withdrew money from the Wells Fargo XXXX ATM located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I selected {$250.00} to withdraw but only received {$200.00} with no receipt. I drove my car around to the front and parked. I first opened my XXXX account to confirm the amount withdrawn. It said {$250.00} ( the {$250.00} + {$3.00} ATM fee ). Then I went inside to report what happened to a human. I waited in line for XXXX minutes, then spoke to a teller and his colleague who asked me a few questions then provided me a business card. I was told ATMs are handled by a third party, so there is nothing anybody in the bank could do to help, and that I need to report it to that number. At XXXX, I went to my car and called the number on the card. I was told that I need to dispute this with my own bank as they couldn't do anything to help me since I'm not a Wells Fargo customer. At XXXX, I called XXXX and opened a dispute claim. On Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I was notified that the investigation was completed and denied. Wells Fargo provided a paper copy of their records that the correct amount was distributed. I called XXXX at XXXX to follow-up, asking if they are able to ask for video evidence, as that would prove the full amount was not dispensed. I was told I need to talk to Wells Fargo as XXXX will not re-open the case without additional evidence. I called Wells Fargo at XXXX. I was told again and again that they can not help me unless I am either ( a ) a Wells Fargo customer; or ( b ) the bank. I was told I need to talk to my own bank for any further action. I called XXXX again at XXXX and explained that Wells Fargo is not willing to work with me since I'm not a customer, but would work with the bank. I asked if they are able to ask Wells Fargo for the video, as I have the exact date, time, and location of the ATM withdrawal. The XXXX agent told me again that the case will not re-open without additional evidence from myself. Now I am filing a complaint with CFPB against Wells Fargo.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with paying off the loan
Consumer Complaint: paid off loan ( saved receipt and screenshots and video of XXXX $ balance in branch ) Called XXXX XXXX to verify and inquire abt reducing late fees and was told the remaining late fees were non-negotiable and had to be paid BUT were treated as " completely separate '' from Principal and Interest and that to avoid collections i should pay at least once before 120 days elapsed and that would " reset the 120 day clock '' each month AND that it would NOT report to CRA 's as well. NOW after seeing that the system/they ADDED XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX $ to my previously XXXX account/loan i called to complain and they said the system puts this on to " keep the account open '' so the remainder late fees can be paid- BUT said they don't know if it will then AUTO-REPORT to CRA 's as being {$1.00} and 30days or whatever amount of days 'late ' which would be both illegal and inaccurate. ( As i don't actually owe the underlying 'phantom ' dollar ) Just the late fees, which per their policy don't get reported.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is against the Executive Office of Wells Fargo. The Executive Office with Wells Fargo is a department which is used to seek a resolution agreeable between a Customer and Wells Fargo, when both are not in agreement. As I have been transferred throughout many departments within Wells Fargo since XXXX XXXX, due to my Identity Theft which I have been experiencing -- the Executive Office along with their many Executive Office Case Specialists, seem to care less about seeking a Resolution. They are not Customer Oriented, and tend to blame the Customer for everything. They will not take responsibility for any mismanagement of monies. However the record and history of Wells Fargo speaks differently, with their billions paid in Civil Penalties and Restitution. Wells Office should only utilize solution oriented staff in this department. With customers such as myself experiencing endless issues associated with identity theft, there is no time for arrogance, unprofessional behavior, and a nonchalant attitude!!
