Consumer Complaint: I was the named trustee and sole beneficiary of a trust account being held through Wells Fargo. I was never notified by Wells Fargo that the account was in existence - an account in which I was the named trustee and the sole beneficiary. Wells Fargo never notified me about the opening of the account, never sent me a monthly statement ( as required by federal law ) and never sought my permission to make trades and transfers ( as required by law ). Wells Fargo also violted the Know-Your-Client Federal Law by never meeting with me. In fact, Wells Fargo went out of its way to keep this account secret from me. When I learned of the account, totaly by accident some 20 years after Wells Fargo had secretly set-up this account, Wells Fargo then illegally transferred the funds out of the account into new accounts with secretive names. The broker at Wells Fargo bragged, while under oath and in a recorded interview, that I would never be able to track or retrieve the funds belonging to me.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX Executive office Wells Fargo, advised that my property was not in foreclosure but that Wells Fargo hired an attorney. Despite the fact that since XX/XX/XXXX, when the loan mature, I submitted an application for financial assistance ( loan modification ), due to the fact that Wells Fargo was demanding a full payment of {$55000.00}, I received a payoff statement from Wells Fargo that reads as follows : " this is a foreclosure case and legal proceedings may continue ''. It is obvious that Wells Fargo provides false an misleading information, I was advised that while an application for loan modification is being process, foreclosure is on hold, and that after being denied I will have the right to an appeal. Wells Fargo is not consistent, basically lies to the customers. I am requesting for my complaint to be Escalated. I am requesting for my application for financial assistance to be Escalated and review by someone that doesn't practice DISCRIMINATION. I don't want my property to be foreclose. I have never refused to pay Wells Fargo. I have provided all documents requested by Wells Fargo. I paid taxes an insurance on the property. I deserve to be approved for a loan modification.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo has inaccurately closed my business credit card ending in XXXX for non payment of the balance of a employee credit card. Firstly I want it known that I had 0 access To see that balance as my balance stated on my online portal was always XXXX. My balance was XXXX dollars, where this XXXX dollars came from? I have no idea why my card was closed due to non payment of XXXX dollars, when I hold a average balance of over XXXX XXXX XXXX in my Wells Fargo checking accounts. I hold multiple personal credit cards, personal and business accounts and a high amount of money in a brokerage account with Wells Fargo. I only bank with Wells Fargo yet I feel like an outsider being attacked for the XXXXXXXX XXXX that I supposedly did not pay. I was never contacted and I was never told to pay that amount or even that I owed that amount. I feel truly attacked as a consumer and as a almost 8 year member of wells Fargo. After Wells Fargo closed that account I was declined on many applications for business loans, personal loans and lines of credits. All because I had a credit card close for non payment. I see this as beyond unfair. In there response to me, Wells Fargo also fails to do any research and states incorrect dates of this particular case. Stating that my card was closed in XXXX of XXXX and then later in XXXX. I expect nothing less of a bank that robs its loyal customers of service for inside issues of its own internet/ online portal systems. From wells fargo Your XX/XX/XXXX, business card statement showed the amount of {$25.00} due on XX/XX/XXXX. Your XX/XX/XXXX, statement showed a past due amount of {$25.00}. Your XX/XX/XXXX, statement showed the amount of {$25.00} due on XX/XX/XXXX. The XX/XX/XXXX, showed a past due amount of {$25.00}. You paid the total amount due on XX/XX/XXXX as always with wells fargo I am confused and betrayed at the reasoning and the simple fact that this could have all be resolved by reaching out to me. In conclusion my card was closed without any notice, i had no idea there was any balance and to later find out it was XXXX XXXX, i was attacked, betrayed and dumped to the side by wells fargo. I included a email conversation with my wells fargo banker. I tried to figure out why i was getting these notifications because my online account had no balance whatsoever for that credit card.

Consumer Complaint: Several of my credit cards, including XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Wells Fargo XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, have been closed due to fraudulent charges made through my Wells Fargo bank account. Unfortunately, I have not received any reimbursement for these unauthorized charges. Despite my attempts to dispute the fraudulent charges with Wells Fargo 's customer service fraud department, they informed me that the number of charges was too high to handle individually. In response to this situation, I have submitted a police report to document the fraudulent activity to Wells Fargo.. The fraudulent activities were ongoing from XXXX to XXXX, causing Wells Fargo to ultimately close my account due to the numerous fraud charges. Consequently, my credit card payments were returned, even though I had made all payments on time during the returned payments. As a result, my credit report has been negatively impacted by this ordeal.

Consumer Complaint: I have been a victim of a fraudulent withdrawal amounting to {$15000.00} from Wells Fargo bank. Additionally, I want to highlight that I made a deposit of {$17000.00}, and I even have submitted video evidence of this deposit transaction to Wells Fargo. When I contacted Wells Fargo to obtain a copy of the withdrawal slip, I received a copy that was not in color and appeared to be altered. Furthermore, the withdrawal slip does not contain my complete name and does not match my handwriting or signature. Moreover, I noticed that my Wells Fargo bank statement only displays the date of the fraudulent {$15000.00} withdrawal but does not indicate the location of the transaction. Additionally, the {$17000.00} deposit is not reflected on the statement, resulting in a total of {$32000.00} missing from my account. I find it deeply concerning that despite reporting these unauthorized withdrawals and fraudulent charges, I have not received any reimbursement or refund for my missing funds. It is distressing to note that the fraudulent charges made to my account have also not been refunded.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, On XX/XX/2023 I logged into my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX issued by Wells Fargo bank and noticed I had been assessed a late fee of USD {$25.00} as well as an interest fee of USD {$48.00}. This was surprising as I have had no record of late fees on this account and thought I had paid off the balance in full for the prior statements. I then called Wells Fargo on the same day and was informed by a representative that I had been charged both fees as there was a balance of USD {$180.00} that had been left unpaid on my XXXX statement. Looking into the charges, I realized that my building had added those charges without my knowledge, given the card in question is linked to my building to pay for rent and utilities. In light of the unexpected charge and my lack of late payments prior, I requested that both the late fee and interest charges be refunded. The representative informed me that unfortunately only the late fee could be refunded and that the interest fee would not be removed. This seems particularly unreasonable, given Wells Fargo bank assessed the interest payment on the entire outstanding balance of my card at the time, totaling USD {$4300.00}, rather than only on the USD {$180.00} that was overdue. When I pointed this out to the representative, they sought a supervisor, who unfortunately upheld the original decision not to refund any of the assessed interest charge. This not only feels unreasonable punitive, but also markedly unfair given other financial institutions routinely refund assessed interest for first infractions on request. Even if Wells Fargo chooses not to follow this industry standard, I would think that it would be reasonable to only charge interest on the actual amount overdue vs. the much larger standing balance, the vast majority of which was not in overdue status.
