Consumer Complaint: Me and my ex-wife went to the car dealer and the salesman said that all I had to do was called finance company and have my ex-wife put on the loan so she can be authorized to the account because the car was for her I've never had a major purchase like that and I didn't know I was naive to the fact when she didn't make her payments they came and took the car at which at the time the finance company knew that I was no longer living in New York with her my divorce was final XX/XX/2019 now this car is on my credit report they got their car back and I want to know what can be done about the situation. The salesman lied and now I'm being penalized for it thank you

In addition the website shows 4 different amounts owed so it is impossible to understand where I am and impossible to devise a plan to pay it off when I sign into my account I see the following amounts due : 1. Account Balance - XXXX 2. Amount Due - XXXX XXXX. When making the payment ( Outstanding ) XXXX XXXX. Payoff - XXXX Which one is correct? I feel this is a predatory loan as this loan applies unfair deceptive and abusive terms on borrowers and tries to make it impossible to ever completely pay this loan off. This has been going on to long. What are my options.

Santander Consumer USA ( https : //myaccount.santanderconsumerusa.com/Home/SignIn ) On XX/XX/2020 I made a payment of {$520.00} to cover the month of XXXX and XXXX of 2020. I also made another payment of {$260.00} for that one to cover the month of XX/XX/2020. So why am I being billed to make a payment on XX/XX/2020 We called them on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. We were told that they will put in a request and that we should check later that afternoon with the website to see the changes in our bill. We did so and today XX/XX/2020 we still see that we are being charged to pay on XX/XX/2020.

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2020, my auto loan was purchased by Santander Consumer USA. With my previous lender, I had been submitting extra payments monthly by mail as principal only payments. A payment of this type was mailed to the original lender on XX/XX/2020. It was clearly marked as principal only and was forwarded to Santander. It was credited to my account on XX/XX/XXXX and back dated to XX/XX/XXXX. Instead of being applied to the principal, the payment to date shows as an additional monthly payment. As a result, I have been charged extra interest. Also, my auto pay shows no payment due until XX/XX/XXXX, even though the next payment was due today, XX/XX/XXXX. After numerous contacts via chat, email, phone and secure message over the past 2 weeks, the issues remain unresolved. Each time I make contact, I request to be escalated either to a supervisor or a decision maker. Each time, I am told that is not possible. To further complicate the issues, I have received contradictory information about making extra principal payments in the future. One representative told me I could make the payments online and another said they had to be mailed. The latter did not provide a mailing address. The fix is simple but the bank has made no effort to date to resolve the issues.
