Consumer Complaint: Our XXXX pontoon boat loan was sold to Santander Consumer Services. We paid the boat off on XX/XX/XXXX. Got the pay off paperwork and a letter telling us they lost our title and we need to go absorb the cost of the replacement. When I called them they have told us for 2 months now they will get the title and they have yet to apply for our title with the state to begin with. So the papers the present to us would do us no good as they never applied for the title. They also told us it was the state that just didn't send them the title when they then admit they never applied for it. We need the title for our records if we ever decide to sale the vessel.

Consumer Complaint: I had a lease with Chrysler Capital. My account from day one was on automatic payments and was consistently paid on time at the first of the month. For the final payment, they, in their words, " manually cancelled '' my automatic payments causing me to miss the cutoff. I called in to ask about how to handle the lease return, and the person on the phone told me I was past due. I immediately paid because I had no idea I had missed a payment since it was on automatic payments. The lady on the phone told me not to worry about it and it would not be reported. Several days later, I get an email from my credit reporting that says I was delinquent on a payment and my credit score was knocked down by 49 points.

Consumer Complaint: My car note was transferred over to Santander Consumer USA In XXXX of 2020, and they have not reported to the credit bureaus. I called Santander on XX/XX/2020 and was told that everything had to be communicated through the mail and there was not an option to talk to anyone or email anyone about the issue. I had to mail my information in along with my full Social Security Number in the mail. I asked if i could give just the last 4 and was informed no. I was told that due to high call volume the dispute department only communicates through mail, and a response will be sent 30 days after the date that they receive the dispute. I understand that it is against the law to open up others mail if it is not yours ; however, not everyone follows the rules of the law. I do not feel comfortable mailing out my full Social Security number with the possibility that someone may get it other than Santander Consumer. I also dont know why they have not reported not one payment that we have made to them to the credit bureaus for 3 months now. If they had ran into an issue at all they have my email address and physical mailing address. I never received any documentation indicating that they did not have our SSN 's to report to the Credit Bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing with Santander for a few years now with the loan of a car. This car is in my ex husbands name and i have been making payments on it for years. I called Santander to tell them i wanted to trade the car to get one in my name and because of them charging off the car in the credit system even though i had been making payments on it for years I could not do so. When I called on numerous times to discuss this with them they told me it was charged off and on my credit it did not matter if i made my payments on time it was not going to show that. It would only report negative. I tried speaking to different supervisors to reconcile the issue and they all kept telling me it was the company policy and that there was nothing they could do to help. After month of the run around I decided to buy a new car with a different lender. I called Santander to tell them to come and pick up the car i was no longer paying on something that was not in my name and reporting negativity on my credit already. I would like this to be removed from my credit report. I have tried to reason with them and work out the situation but have gotten no where in 2 years. The account is reporting negativly as a charge off on my credit report it is my ex husbands car and im paying thee price. This has affected me for 2 years now and is unfair. They hold you over a fire and are not willing to help you when you.

Consumer Complaint: Hello My family has been through complete turmoil these past 6 to 8 months, First, my father n law passed away unexpected without any life insurance, then our house sold for taxes and we had 15 days to move which we did but it was a hefty cost and then I got sick in XXXX, swear it was XXXX but wasn't tested because tests weren't available yet and then the pandemic shut everything down, Both my husband and I got laid off but my weekly rate is {$110.00} and I was in touch with the lender and they agreed to defer 3 months and catch us up and I felt relieved but then I get a call that my car is being repossessed and they want XXXX to catch the loan up, It's our only car and our only way for husband and me to get to work, He went back this past Monday and I am returning this coming Monday.
