Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new vehicle from XXXX XXXX in XXXX Louisiana in XX/XX/2019. I put XXXX down payment. I was so happy to get my wife a reliable vehicle that I overlooked a lot of details. I have struggled to make payments and have almost turned it back in several times. In hind sight I made bad decision. I saw an article about Santander and after reading, I got my contract from the car and was surprised to read a lot of the allegations Santander settled their complaints ... were done to me. I felt used/tricked/manipulated/stupid. Mostly not informed. I am still stunned to find I have a XXXX car payment for 5 yrs at 18 % interest. My signature is there but again uninformed and stupid. I can not ever remember filling out a credit application only that they ( the salesman ) was looking for me a finance company. I signed for roadside assistance, I already had with XXXX XXXX XXXX The total price I pay is XXXX I feel stupid and taken advantage of. I was given rebate of XXXX which is invisible with the high interest rate. I unknowingly signed for gap insurance, I got that with my car insurance. I purchased a appearance protection warranty like a fool. XXXX XXXX for etching XXXX I wouldn't knowingly buy that. Wheel/tire insurance for XXXX I would not knowingly buy that. There has to be a way to stop customers from being taken advantage of. I wrote santander a letter asking for some form of relief ... I received no response. I called the attorney general of louisiana and I submitted a complaint on their website. I also have a purchased warranty in addition to the new car warranty. XXXX dollars.

Consumer Complaint: Santander Consumer USA has recently settled in a multi state investigation about Santander 's subprime lending practices. Santander knowingly exposed borrowers to unnecessary risk and placed them into loans with a high probably of default. I have sent letters to Santander about my account being deleted and to this day they have not deleted this from my credit report. It is against the FCRA for a creditor and the credit reporting agencies to report inaccurate and false information. I am asking that this Santander account be deleted from my credit report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX will not delete a 10 yr old account from my credit report. Its been delinquent since 2011 and and they will not make Santander the creditor show the correct information showing the entire delinquency nor remove the account which was delinquent each year from XXXX and every single year stayed delinquent since then. Further more santander states loan was XXXX payments XXXX a month but a balance still due off over XXXX. This backs up the fact the account was delinquent the entire life of the loan and was repoed yearly. The account was never current XXXX again. Being 10 yr old account should be removed. Especially since Santander agreed to remove previously

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I ran out of gas on the side of the road. I parked my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and walked to the gas station to get gas. Upon returning someone has ran into my van totaling the vehicle. I know longer have possession of the vehicle the person who hit my vehicle insurance company has the vehicle. I contacted Chrysler capital and informed them of what happened to the vehicle and requested a courtesy adjustment to have the vehicle balance off my credit reports as I know longer have access to the vehicle and XXXX XXXX will submit a check for the value of the vehicle. Under the fair credit reporting act companies are required to report accuracy information as I no longer am responsible for the vehicle it should be removed from my credit reports immigration

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX was paid off on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a pay off letter from SANTANDER CONSUMER USA, which has {$550.00} XXXX dollar class action lawsuit. The letter states the loan is paid off but does NOT represent a lien release. Ive been calling them for years and either I can never get through or they say that they will process the proper title to my car. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I went to XXXX to run a title search on my car and it still shows SANTANDER CONSUMER USA as the lien holder. Upon XXXX And XXXX search, I see there are many Complaints over many years about this company not releasing title. I need to sell the car. There has to be an organization that can help consumers that are being ripped off by financial institutions. Can you help?

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I went to a car dealership ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX XXXX ) to get a used vehicle. After looking at a few different vehicles I choose one and proceeded to work out the details of the loan. I was asked repeatedly to provide someone that could be a co-signer ( for income purposes is what I was told ) and I stated multiple times that I did not have one. After being told that it would be impossible for me to get a car I called my friend to see if he would be a co-signer for me since no one else would. He agreed to become a co-signer and we filled out the paperwork to get the deal done. The loan was unfavorable the interest rate was over 22 % and my monthly car payment was {$450.00} on a used XXXX XXXX XXXX, but I agreed to the deal because I really needed a car since my previous vehicle was totaled a few days earlier. Upon reviewing the account when it was time for me to make my first payment I noticed that my friend was the main borrower and I was listed as the co-borrower which I called the company Santander Consumer USA and asked about it since my friend didn't have a driver 's license at the time and still doesn't have one. I was told that's not an issue and I asked for the loan to be reversed or cancelled because I felt that was illegal and I had no problem returning the vehicle to them. About a year goes by and I'm struggling to make the payments and they keep calling me to make a payment which I tell them I will no longer be making payments because I'm upset with the treatment and fill the loan was done fraudulently. I took a look at the account and also every single payment that I made went to the interest and I was even charged interest after the car was repossessed. Overall it was a bad experience I was lied to by the dealership and the loan company and it has hindered me from being able to get a decent car loan or any form of credit since then. I feel Santander Consumer Auto preys on people that are in a bad situation financially or credit wise and takes advantage of them through the dealerships since they could just repo the cars within a year of the loan and resale them.

Consumer Complaint: Gateway one lending is changing old information about account as if they are new account. I had a fraudulent account that was investigated and I filed a police report on and it was blocked due do the investigation. gateway one lending has change the original date, loan amount and account number with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. gate way may have sold or sharing the account with SCUSA. I believe this is against the law under fair credit report act.
