Consumer Complaint: I have a auto loan with Santander Consumer USA that was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. My account is current, my last payment made was XX/XX/XXXX of {$450.00}. On their website through the customer portal my account reads current/on time but on my credit report it shows the account, closed, in collection/ charge off as bad debt and is listed with a derogatory payment. I have disputed this through XXXX and XXXX 5 times now. They did update the balance but that was all they were able to do My account is it closed or in a derogatory status or in collections I am making my payment monthly. The representative I spoke to even shared with me that yes the account is in good standing snd I make my payments on time This company is not accredited with the XXXX and is currently under investigation for signing people into loans they know they would default on. I believe my account was victim to this tortuous behavior. Please help

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft and I have submitted a notarized affidavit which serves as a legal document to my identity theft. I am also a victim of the XXXX breach and opted out of the settlement because I have suffered extreme losses due to the breach and the identity theft. I need the fraud accounts that are in my letter that is attached removed permanently from my file as I have also contacted the creditors as well. This is extreme in violation of my fair credit reporting act rights and I will seek legal recourse. I have also attached the printout of me being affected by the XXXX breach as well.

Consumer Complaint: I have been having an ongoing problem with Santander Consumer USA reporting inaccurate/fraudulent information to XXXX. This account has been closed and paid in full since XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I got my XXXX credit report and it showed late payments listed in XX/XX/XXXX ( 60 days late ), XX/XX/XXXX ( 60 days late ), and XX/XX/XXXX ( 60 days late ) ( proof uploaded ). I called XXXX spoke with a Supervisor for over 2 hours and they said they only report what Santander provides them. They put in a dispute and said I needed to call Santander directly. I called Santander and spoke with an Executive Manager Representative, she was baffled as to why my credit report would be updated to show late payments after the account was closed and paid and full. I provided her with my credit report showing the inaccurate fraudulent late payments. She said that's not what they reported and worked diligently to get those removed. Due to those fraudulent late payments added to my credit report it caused my score to drop 20 points. It took a few weeks and those late payments were removed for the XX/XX/XXXX credit report, it only reported one late payment XX/XX/XXXX ( 60 days late ). Then on XX/XX/XXXX more fraudulent late payments were added to my Equifax credit report again listed as XX/XX/XXXX XXXX 60 days late XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ( 60 days late ), and XX/XX/XXXX ( 90 days late ). I called XXXX again explained the issue for hours, they just put in a dispute and told me to call Santander again. My score dropped tremendously once more. It was eventually fixed on XX/XX/XXXX showing only a late payment in XX/XX/XXXX ( which is also inaccurate ). When I check my XX/XX/XXXX credit report it now shows late XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I called Santander to dispute this new late payments and asked to speak to an Executive Manager. I was told that I would receive a call back within 3-5 business days, but have yet to receive a call back. This reporting of inaccurate late payments being put on my credit report and then being taken off has been going on for years. This issue needs to be rectified once and for all with the deletion in entirety. Proof of each of the months that were mentioned from XXXX XXXX credit report has been uploaded. I uploaded XX/XX/XXXX as well to show how it was only reporting XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX late prior to the XXXX issue, but in XX/XX/XXXX there was only XX/XX/XXXX late payment. How these late payments are being reported to XXXX are being sent arbitrarily with no one knowing how or why its being reported that way.

Consumer Complaint: I was going through old magazines and found a refund letter with an attached pre paid card that expired on XX/XX/20 in the amount of {$24.00} due to over payment of an auto loan from Santander Consumer USA. I was never contacted by the loan company to inform me of this over payment or that a prepaid card would be arriving. After discovering the card today I called the number located on the card issued by XXXX XXXX to explain my situation and asked for a replacement card so I could utilize my refund. I was informed that due to them charging a XXXX XXXX monthly non use fee to a card I didnt even know I had there was no money left for another card to be reissued. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was informed that it did not matter because a supervisor would tell me the same thing. I then proceeded to call Santander to remedy the situation and was informed that while she would open an investigation there was nothing they could do as they sent the refund in a timely manner. I feel that I should be issued the refund I am owed as I was never notified this card was coming to watch for it ( despite them calling me several times a day until the insurance company paid them for the car after the accident ) and the card was never activated.if I have to activate a card prior to use then the company should only be able to charge fees to an activated card. Additionally I was not given a choice regarding this prepaid card nor informed of the non use fee prior to being issued the card which goes against the act passed for these very protections.

Consumer Complaint: The company Santander was contacted for reporting misinformation on my credit report, both XXXX and XXXX were contacted as well to verify the information on file. The bureaus stated that they could not remove the information provided by the company Santander. The account is currently in charge off status, the written off amount was for {$6600.00} however the listed amount says {$7500.00}. When an account is in charge off status it is not supposed to accrue any fees or interest. Between the two of the bureaus, each of them show misinformation about the accounts, in which it's causing derogatory marks on my report giving it a negative impact. While I understand that each report may not 100 % reflect that of another report, if the same information is being reported to each of the bureaus then the reports should reflect this.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX sold a used car to my son in XXXX which was very high pressured selling and fraudulent title surfing. The financial Company was Santander Financial. From the start of this transaction XXXX paid {$50.00} of his money to receive a title from someone trying to get rid of the stated used XXXX XXXX XXXX which stated another model of XXXX in the title and was only signed by one party and the MVA stated that they could not transfer. I sent a letter to the BBB wanting to reverse this sale instead XXXX paid for titling with the MVA however, never could get a title from Santander and neither could my son. Moving forward we would flood the MVA for a title which never appeared and also from the beginning of the sale, someone lied and said my son worked at XXXX XXXX so that Santander would finance the car which my son did not work as he had just graduated the summer before. Moving forward Santander sent a welcoming letter stating a XXXX XXXX. Earlier the next year, Santander Financial Services was to pay a {$550.00} million settlement to pay out cars because of fraudulent sales and lying on contracts so I wrote a letter to the Attorney General of my state ( Maryland ) to have Santander pay this car out and relieve him of the fraudulent contract. The Atty General sent my letter to the correct office which went unanswered due to the Covid shutdown. I am now requesting this complaint reinstated for removal from all of his credit reports with the credit bureaus. Santander is reporting this monthly. I do have a case no. from the Atty Generals office to the State of MD Consumer Protection Division which I will be contacting since the economy has opened a little more freely. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: The pandemic of covid 19 hit and my husband and I both lost a huge amount of our income. I explained this to the loan company and asked for an extension. They repossessed our vehicle, vandalized and stole our personal property from the vehicle and sold it. They are reporting a balance late every month on our credit report. This is impacting us severely in the mist of a pandemic.
