Consumer Complaint: Fell behind on payments. After 90 days we received our {$1000.00} payment back, and spoke with XXXX XXXX. He managed to lower the actual owed amount to under {$300.00}. Since then I have not spoken to the representative more than once. I had to fill out XXXX modification packets. On the first XXXX we mailed and faxed, they claimed they never received or lost some of the paperwork. They 're excuse was that they had multiple offices and the paperwork could of gotten mixed up. I 'm in the process of doing it a third time, but all electronically with help from XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Having the same problems with Ocwen loan company that I filled the complaint 1 1/2 years ago. We are going on year 3 with this problem. We had a modification in XXXX of 2013 that was approved, signed and notarized by us. We made the first XXXX payments and they stopped taken the payments. The sent us a new bill with a different amount and I call XXXX the company that has the title for our loan and the company that gave us the modification. They said that Ocwen was just behind and it should be fixed in a couple months. I waited and Ocwen told me that they made a MISTAKE. This mistake has cost me so much money because are credit if awful. After the last complaint I filed they told me they would take it off are credit back to when the loan was signed, but they will not give us a new loan. I receive bills for both amounts but can and will not pay either until I have a really loan that is signed by us, not something they just made up. I have hired a lawyer, and he is having the hardest time to get any help for us. I do n't know what to do but file a lawsuit against them. My husband and my credit is awful and we bought a car a year ago and it has affected what we pay for that loan. HELP!

Consumer Complaint: have a mortgage at Ocwen, XXXX XXXX requested escrow analysis as taxes had decreased they sent XXXX, an overage check and new escrow payment was lowered, went to make mortgage payment today and my payment has increased by {$52.00} with no notification. my taxes are only {$1600.00} a year and they want to escrow {$200.00} a year for my taxes. was on phone with them for one hour. asked them why they never notified me of the change, said that somebody cancelled the escrow analysis XXXX. when I asked why they did not know. I was under the impression I was to be given 60 days notice prior to change in my mortgage payment and I was not. this all happened XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. my escrow balance is XXXX, my taxes are XXXX, by the time the collect XXXX monthly, they will have collected over XXXX, way more than needed. so again I had to request an escrow analysis today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX so they can see their error. I am complaining that they raised my mortgage payment without notification. also my loan had been in a chapter XXXX, that was discharged 2 years ago, several times I have asked them to correct their system, but nothing happens. when I asked today, they spoke to some body and told me that they knew it was discharged but they have never taken that status off my records. this hurts my credit. when I asked again when they were going to correct it, they did not know

Consumer Complaint: This can also serve as another notice of intent to file suit. Ocwen financial ignored a federal bankruptcy judges order and charged/collected interest on payments that were behind. Interest was collected first out of payments before any being applied to principal. We were presented payment records that are incomplete and can not be used for forensic review. Company is trying to collect money discharged in chapter XXXX bankruptcy by foreclosing on our home. Ocwen presented a robo signed document from Florida as a transfer to them. The loan has gone from Option One to American home servicing to homeward bound back to Option One and now Ocwen without being legally transfered. They refuse to provide our original loan documents or give name and address of actual lender. Ocwen has violated the truth in lending act, fair debt collection act, respa and h.o.e.p.a. at the least. Interest went from 11 % to 14.43 % on the morning of closing.As first time home buyers we were unaware this was illegal. Ocwen charged interest and bogus fees that were not allowed under the chapter XXXX federal bankruptcy order. This company has been sued to many times to count for the same actions. I plan to file suit in federal court to force Ocwen to abide by the judges orders and for damages from their illegal acts and hope to find as many others in Pa. as I can to join.Hope to get a class action suit besides federal court for our own mortgage. Ocwen as a history of violating consumer protection and real estate laws at will. This can be evidenced by the many class action and private law suits brought against them. Ocwen makes it 's profit by scamming people with charges and fees that are against all real estate laws and protections for consumers.

Consumer Complaint: My soon to be XXXX XXXX XXXX mother has been trying to submit her application to Ocwen for seven months. She has resubmitted information five times. Each time she is scheduled for a phone interview Ocwen representatives tell her she has not complied with some part of their paperwork process. Her information has been reviewed prior to sending, and is correct, yet each time, the representatives say that they are not saying she didn n't send it, just that they did not receive it. Her initial application was XXXX of 2016. She has been told that she now has to redo the complete application because she is outside of the 90 day time frame. Ocwen is stating they reviewed the case on the XXXX day and that she is missing the same information she already provided. They are stating she must start over. She began the process due to illness and being off work. She is behind on her mortgage, but has not stopped paying.

Issue: Loan servicing, payments, escrow account

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: Ocwen Loan Servicing was our mortgage service provider. Our home was foreclosed on in XXXX of XXXX and we moved out of the property shortly thereafter. There was a XXXX mortgage on the property which was NOT discharged with the foreclosure. Even though we do NOT own the property and do NOT live at the property, we continued to pay monthly on this XXXX mortgage. If we did n't pay the XXXX mortgage, our credit would be adversely affected Sometime in XXXX of XXXX, Ocwen mistakenly added an ESCROW charge to this account ( XXXX ). I noticed it when I paid the monthly payment in XXXX. I called Ocwen and spoke with a number of people, none of whom could quite understand what had happened or why, and were not really able to help with this bizarre situation. The issue was sent to a special department for action. Of course, the next thing that Ocwen decided to do, was to perform 'property inspections ' and a 'property valuation ', all to the tune of {$380.00}. Since the property was foreclosed on and we no longer own the property, it should certainly not be possible to charge us with property inspection and property valuation fees ; but they have. This is VERY typical of Ocwen and a few other service providers. They make a great deal of 'profit ' in assessing fictitious and, possibly, illegal fees. I am asking that Ocwen REMOVE these fees from our account immediately ( {$380.00} ). I have spoken to at least five separate representatives at Ocwen, and all I get are platitudes and promises to fix the situation. It is now over one year and these fees are STILL on the account. Bravo, Ocwen ... you folks are truly the worst of the worst. The charges that I expect to be removed from our account are listed below : Property Inspection Fee {$26.00} Property Valuation Expense {$290.00} Certified Mail Cost {$13.00} Late Charge Due {$55.00} ( caused by their 'escrow ' mistake ) TOTAL : {$380.00}

Consumer Complaint: I have recently been declined for a loan modification, and am having a very difficult time with Ocwen. After my decline for a modification Ocwen offered me a forbearance plan. {$9500.00} due XXXX XXXX and {$2600.00} due by XXXX XXXX. After everything I 've been through how can I pay that? And when Ocwen has just reviewed all of my paperwork how can they even offer that? It 's crazy. In XX/XX/XXXX my wife lost her job and we had to use all of our saving to make the payments. We did this all through XX/XX/XXXX. We fell behind in XX/XX/XXXX and applied for a modification. We received the modification and started to make payments again. Unfortunately XX/XX/XXXX w fell behind again due to the fact my wife 's mother became ill and passed away. We continued to make payments well into XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX XXXX we made a payment and it was returned. We had a fraud on our bank account that caused this, and took over a week to correct. Now Ocwen will not accept payment and is forcing us into a foreclosure.
