Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: LexisNexis is reporting unverified information on my credit report. They are reporting a bankruptcy on my credit report that is inaccurate. When I brought this to their attention, Lexis Nexis stated that they received the information from the US bankruptcy court. I then wrote a letter to the court system myself, asking for an explanation. The US Bankruptcy Court replied to my complaint stating that the court, in fact DID NOT provide LexisNexis this information, nor do they provide any personal information to any other credit organization. This is a clear case of identity theft and has been reported to local police. I sent this letter certified XXXX USPS tp LexisNexis along with my Identity Theft Affidavit. The company has not responded. to my complaint

Consumer Complaint: I have submitted a complaint previuosly on LexisNexis and they responded to CFPB that they would remove an Death Declaration on my file and that they would issue a letter to me stating that they had removed the mark on my file? They said vaguely in the, enclosed letter, that they would remove the negative mark in my file and that I could request my file along with the reporting parties that filed a death notice on me.. This was 2 weeks ago and no response from LexisNexis!! I want my file and the parties responsible for reporting me as deceased immediately!

Consumer Complaint: I wrote a letter to Lexisnexis dated on XXXX starting that I would like all my information removed from their system due to violating my consumer rights of privacy and permissible purpose. The information that is on this report stems from XXXX while I was still a minor up until now. I sent it to the XXXX XXXX address where I received notification that the company has moved and there's no forwarding address. I called them today and I spoke with a representative by the name of XXXX. This representative of Lexisnexis told me that she could provide to me ways to opt out but her company will not do as I ask and remove the information. I ask several times during the conversation and she continued to provide me ways to opt out. LexisNexis is willfully housing, sharing, sending information that is damaging to my character and my reputation. They are in violation of Title 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ), Title 15 USC 1681 ( B ), Title 15 USC 1681 ( e ) and now they are holding my information hostage so it is definitely intentional violating Title 15 USC 1681 ( n ). I also have a voice recording of the call where the representative continues to give me options in which I did not ask for.
