Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Public record information inaccurate
Consumer Complaint: Name- XXXX XXXX DOB- XX/XX/XXXX SSN - XXXX Address - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX VA XXXX I went to apply for a loan and was denied. The credit report showed a bankruptcy. I ordered my report from LexisNexis and there are multiple inaccuracies on the report. The first thing is they list me as deceased in XXXX but then list my addresses and XXXX drivers license number. How can I be deceased? Secondly, there's a bankruptcy showing on my report, I called the clerk at the court and she said they have no record and I asked them how can this be put on my credit file? She said LexisNexis was the company that sells public record information to the credit bureaus. I disputed with all 3 credit bureaus and they all came back saying this information was validated through LexisNexis. LexisNexis states they verify this information through the court so I called the clerk at the court again and she stated that they do not verify court case information. So now I am requesting LexisNexis to delete the bankruptcy information from their report as it is erroneous and they have zero proof of validity and also for them to take the " deceased '' flag off of my account as it has caused different financial institutions to deny me credit and also close active accounts that I have. This has to be some sort of violation of law for a company to sell/furnish/publish information that is not accurate to companies that use this information for credit/employment/housing/insurance/etc. There are also multiple vehicle accidents/incidents on my file that have people with the same last name but nothing to do with me which I found out raises mu insurance rate. I'd like those deleted as well, I am going to consult an attorney because this is terrible how much money and job opportunities I have missed out on by the misrepresentation of LexisNexis data.

Consumer Complaint: LexisNexis is reporting inaccurate and unverified information, this information should be deleted from any consumer report they have generated without my consent immediately! I never gave LexisNexis permission to generate any consumer reports or share my information with any 3rd parties. Nor did I give anyone that I've done business with to report anything to LexisNexis.

Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX submitting this complaint myself and there is no third party involved. LexisNexis has gathered and is reporting false, inaccurate and fraudulent information on me as a consumer and has aided in the compromising of my financial reputation as well as causing emotional distress, defamation of character and other unseen injuries. LexisNexis has and is committing numerous violations of my consumer rights including but not limited to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 1 ), 15 USC 1681a ( 4 ), 15 USC 1681b ( 2 ), 15 USC 1681c, 15 USC 1681e ( b ) and 15 USC 6801 ( a ) and many more which has been outlined in an Affidavit of Truth that has been mailed to them with a signed return receipt as proof of delivery. LexisNexis is a consumer reporting agency as defined by 15 USC 1681a ( f ). LexisNexis has been reporting false and fraudulently information they know is not true. I demanded in writing that LexisNexis stop reporting this false and fraudulent information and furnishing my report with this information. LexisNexis does not have my written instructions to furnish my consumer credit report. I have demanded that they remove all my information from their databases immediately. LexisNexis sent me an email on XXXX requesting additional information ( they did not even give me 24 hours to respond to the email before they sent a response to cfpb falsely stating that I hadnt responded to their attempts to contact me ), I responded with the requested information and have yet to hear back from them regarding my information being removed from their database like I demanded. I also informed LexisNexis that a sufficient response to my Affidavit of Truth was an affidavit with rebuttal, point for point anything else would constitute as a non-reasonable response and that not only does my unrebutted affidavit stand as truth in commerce but that I can and will file fault judgement in favor of me, the consumer and the necessary actions will be taken against LexisNexis and XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: This is my second complaint filed with your bureau regarding copies my credit and finance reports gathered by LexisNexis Risk Solutions. I have tried to get a report from them beginning XX/XX/2021. Despite filing a complaint with you on XX/XX/2021 ( Complaint # XXXX ) and submitting the additional information LexisNexis requested, I have been unable to access my credit report. It is now XX/XX/2021 well beyond the 90 days allowed by law. After I filed my complaint with CPFB on XX/XX/2021, LexisNexis contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX for the first time. They requested additional information in the form of a copy of my social security card, a government id, and a third party bill addressed to me. I sent copies of all these documents to them on XX/XX/2021. On XX/XX/2021, Lexis Nexis sent me a time sensitive URL, with a pin, good for 30 days, which the company asserted would show my credit report. Although I tried repeatedly over a period of days to access the URL, no such URL was found with either XXXX or XXXX search engines. Therefore I could not access the report. On XX/XX/XXXX, I emailed their help center describing my difficulties in accessing my information. After three days I got a canned response suggesting that I empty my cache and make sure I hadn't made a mistake in entering the URL and the pin. Obviously I had checked all this repeatedly. On XX/XX/XXXX I called their " Help '' desk. The person who answered said the same thing as the emailer had. No other help was forthcoming, since she was not trained to help with computer and access problems. I then asked that the credit report be sent as a hardcopy, by mail to my po box , the address to which Lexis /Nexis had sent the URL. She said if I sent a copy of a current utility bill to XXXX, I would be contacted within 48 hours by phone and that a hard copy of my credit report would be sent to my address. I sent a copy of my utility bill to that address the same day Needless to say I received no phone call, nor was a report sent to me. Meanwhile, before I made the XX/XX/XXXX phone call, on XX/XX/2021 Lexis Nexis sent another time sensitive URL with my credit report which I received on XX/XX/XXXX. Again the URL was not available on search engines as written. I am XXXX now, a year older than when I made my first inquiry. I do not wish to spend my remaining time on earth playing wack-a- mole with LexisNexis URLs. I have given them all the information they need to send me a hard copy of my report. I need to do this to make sure any credit issues are resolved before my death and will not impact my estate. More immediately I need the report to determine whether my home insurance rates are based on accurate information, since my insurance company, XXXX claims it is basing my increased rates at least in part on information obtained by LexisNexis. This long delay and repeated attempts to get my report, disturb my tranquility, waste my time, and threaten to exacerbate longstanding chronic stress related health problems. Furthermore, the fact that LexiNexis is dropping tranches of sensitive information in URLS that may be available to hackers, if not their intended recipients, would lead a reasonable person to worry that their personal information might be used against them. Please note : The date XX/XX/XXXX on my original complaint of XX/XX/XXXX, should read XX/XX/XXXX XXXX

XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX state on there website that they obtain from local, state, and federal courts THROUGH a third party VENDER, LEXISNEXIS. Without my permission, LEXISNEXIS purchased my information from XXXX and sold my information to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. The United State Bankruptcy Court, XXXX XXXX of North Carolina Deputy Clerk mailed me a letter. I have attached the letter to prove that LEXISNEXIS did not get MY background information from the federal court of North Carolina. The deputy clerk states in the letter that access to bankruptcy files are made through the XXXX system. I research XXXX and went on the website. In order to get my public records I had to pay a fee. Which means LEXISNEXIS had to purchase the information about me and sold it to all three credit companies. THIS IS A VIOLATION of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Laws 15 U.S code 1681, 15 U.S code 1681b, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX clearly violated this laws, 15 U.S code 1681m. I was never notified Orally, in writting or by electronic NOTICE of the adverse action to my consumer credit reports. Another laws they have violated is 15 U.S code 1681c-2, 15 U.S code 1681b. I have disputed this twice with each agency and it came back verified! This is another violation 15 U.S code 1681i.
