Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I signed a 3-year contract with Lexis Nexis so that I could use their legal research services. I owed a monthly payment under the contract of {$130.00} ( {$4800.00} over 36 months ). Then, on XX/XX/XXXX, Lexis Nexis cut off my account and canceled my contract. On XX/XX/XXXX, I asked in an e-mail why I couldn't access my account. Lexis said it was because I signed a 1-year contract. I also called customer services, who likewise confirmed I did not have a contract with Lexis. Then, on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX offered me a new contract. They did the same on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I refused to sign a new contract with them and instead signed a contract with XXXX. Then, Lexis starts sending me notices and warnings to send me to collections for failing to pay XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX bills. I inquired why they were still billing me, and they denied every cutting off my account. They said there was a " mistake '' in the " system '' and that my account was only cut off from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. They have not acknowledged the e-mail they sent on XX/XX/XXXX. They are now threatening to send my to collections for failure to pay for services XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX. In short, Lexis cancelled my contract and froze my account. Then, 3 months later, pretend that never actually happened and demanded that I pay for those 3 months.

Consumer Complaint: Pursuant to 18 U.S. Code 1028A, Lexis Nexis has committed aggravated identity theft against me as they have obtained my social security number, birthdate, addresses, phone number, and alleged information from creditors including transaction history. I never provided Lexis Nexis with this information and plan to report them to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for aggravated identity theft, computer fraud, wire fraud and mail fraud. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681a, no investigative reporting on the accounts I have requested be deleted is needed as the only person who can confirm their accuracy is me, the consumer. I am attesting that none of the accounts I have requested be deleted are accurate.

Consumer Complaint: My homeowners insurance company sent me a letter at the beginning of this year that my premium for the upcoming year ( starting in XXXX XXXX ) would be increasing by {$1500.00} up to {$4100.00}. They said in their letter that this increase was due to a consumer report on my credit from LexisNexis credit reporting. I first thought this was weird because my regular credit score is routinely around 800, but there is apparently a second, different credit score that was used. I ordered a copy of my consumer credit report from Lexis Nexis, which was mailed by them XX/XX/XXXX and received by me through the mail some time after. In their consumer report I received, there does seem to show any negative information about my family 's credit. I called LexisNexis shortly after to go through the consumer report which appears to show accurate information overall. They could not really explain thoroughly what aspect on the report was actually a negative. The only thing they mentioned was the rolling history of my bank accounts, credit, and loans for which I have never had a late payment. The strange thing is that my homeowners insurance is choosing to hold the length of those accounts against me now even though all of them were already in existence when I began my insurance coverage with this company in XX/XX/2017. It seems that my homeowners insurance company has arbitrarily chose to hold my account lengths against me now and try to increase my yearly premium by about 44 %.
