Consumer Complaint: I am currently dealing with a person who is operating under a CA XXXX number that is attempting to lease me an apartment that he has no connection to. I recently found out that he is not dealing with the actual property owner and the apartment is not becoming available for lease anytime soon. I have signed a lease agreement and he has taken my down payment which I have filed for a fraud complaint with my bank. Timeline of Events : - XX/XX/XXXX : First contact with real estate agent via XXXX XXXX XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX : Rental application filled out by me and emailed - XX/XX/XXXX : Real Estate agent says that he is getting many inquiries but if I send my deposit and first month 's rent, then I can be in first position. He shares the lease agreement with details regarding a full refund if I view the apartment and don't want it. I wire money {$4000.00} to landlord 's Chase Bank account via XXXX XXXX and return signed lease agreement. - XX/XX/XXXX : I was doing research online and found that the photos in the ad are for a different unit, and some are of a different apartment completely. I call the agent to ask about this. He says it was his mistake, the units are very similar, the landlord owns all XXXX and i can have that one if i prefer. - XX/XX/XXXX : I email him that i prefer # XXXX since that is the unit that I have seen photos of. He confirms via email. - XX/XX/XXXX : He emails me to call him. He tells me that there is another company that wants to rent that apartment and says that I need to send him an additional {$4000.00} to secure that apartment. I tell him that I won't send any more money until I can meet him or the landlord and see the apartment. He tells me that I can meet the landlord at his house. I tell him I need to see the apartment first. He declines and hangs up. - XX/XX/XXXX : I visit the apartment on my own and see that they are doing work on the unit that I am renting. The worker puts me in touch with the person that hired him to do the work. Its a different real estate agent and she tells me that she has never heard of the people that I am dealing with, the apartment is not for rent, and the owner is a different person. I call my real estate friend and he confirms that the owner is who this 2nd real estate agent says, and that the other landlord does not own any of the units that he said. - XX/XX/XXXX : I ask my friend who works in the FBI who recommends that I file a claim with my bank to try to retrieve my wire transfer funds which I do. He says that they person can make it more difficult to retrieve my money if they are aware that I am attempting to get it back. - XX/XX/XXXX : I get a notice from my bank that my claim was denied. I call the real estate agent telling him that I spoke to the people currently in the apartment and that they told me that they are not renting out the apartment, and that the owner is different from who he has said. He tells me that I am wrong. I tell him that I would like him to refund my money. He says he has to check with the landlord and would get back to me in XXXX hours. I follow up via email to put my request in writing. I have not heard from him since. I have called him multiple times and the number keeps ringing.

Consumer Complaint: I worked for this person sometime In XXXXIts was third party.its was a week hold placed on the check.After the week went by I received my debit card tried to pull money off and it wouldn't work.I then proceeded to call Chase bank and I was informed that my account was closed.I was told that my check for XXXX dollars was sent out on XXXX still haven't received any money.I just called back and now I'm hearing that me and the check writer have to come in and show id I would have did that at first With that being said JP Morgan Chase said they are keeping my money so I had to contact you guys.I know I'm not the only one help me out it's XXXX time and I need my money.They had a whole week to verify this before they cashed the check.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, on XX/XX/XXXX, I tried using my credit card but it got declined. I tried using my debit card but it was declined as well. Later in the evening, I called my credit card company and they informed me that my account has been closed and that I should've received a letter about it. Upon checking my mailbox, I discovered a letter from my bank explaining the changes to the account terms. In particular, it shared the changes to the new minimum payment calculation, and the fee changes to. my cardmember agreement. I proceeded to call them again and they stated that they're not privy to any of the information regarding the closure of the account and all that they can see on the file is that it was due to unexpected activity. The following day, I called the number on the back of my debit card, and after 3 transfers they shared the same information : they don't know why the account has been closed but that I should be receiving a letter explaining why. The day after that, on XX/XX/XXXX, I visited a branch of Chase bank on XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX. The staff there too couldn't offer any explanations. However, they were able to help me withdraw my funds from my checking accounts. Later in the evening, I finally came across the letter from Chase regarding the closure of my accounts. All it stated was that my accounts were being closed due to unexpected activity on one of my Chase accounts. I went on to call the number listed in the letter and the representative too was unable to offer any further information. After some further prodding, the representative did finally divulge that it was the bank 's global security and investigation that made the ultimate decision. I have sifted through my account activity for the past few months and have failed to see or detect any kind of unusual activity. This entire ordeal has been painful and difficult. I've been a client of Chase bank since XXXX and now I need to open a new bank account and apply for new credit cards. I'm not even sure how this might impact my credit score or if there might be other repercussions. I'd just like to know what happened and what I did wrong.

Typically I'm leaving work late so I almost always make cash deposits to pay bills etc. My sister is here from school on winter break so she was with me I counted my deposit twice then had her count it we both counted {$900.00}. I deposited the money it said {$880.00}. My heart almost dropped to the floor the reason being almost everytime I make a atm deposit it almost always is {$20.00} off not {$10.00} off not {$2.00} not 5 always {$20.00}. I've always thought I was doing something wrong but lately it has been on my mind that something isn't right today was the first day I had someone with me who saw the same thing I saw and counted the money. So I called the bank I was in a panic I was enraged because this has been happening to me for years and I almost always attributed it to something else today it clicked that the atm has been taking my {$20.00} for years I'm disgusted I'm upset and I need for this to be rectified.

Consumer Complaint: hello I was due to begin paying a loan for the total amount of {$2000.00}, with the first statement being billed on XX/XX/22 for {$170.00}, a private loan through XXXX XXXX and XXXX. The email in which I was receiving notifications on was hacked at the time and I did not have access to the notifications being received as well as the mails being sent to the wrong address. Given the unprecedented pandemic situation related to XXXX loans, and unclear communications constantly changing, I was under the impression after not receiving clear communication that all of my loans were under the federal deferment related to XXXX. These loans were subsequently late by 2 months due to the miscommunication rather than my inability to pay the loan in full, one on XX/XX/22 and one on XX/XX/22, however had three alerts on my credit report negatively affecting my credit score, two being after the date the loan was paid in full and two late payments on my credit report. The loan was paid in full on XX/XX/22, however negatively affected my credit score in the medium term and also causing me to get denied for a credit card in which I was applying for through my place of employment ( Chase Credit Card denied for on XX/XX/22 ). I believe at the very least I should have one late payment on my credit score, not two, given the loan was paid in full on XX/XX/22 and I got docked for XX/XX/22 and XX/XX/22 so that is just an error. However, I believe given the unprecedented nature of the communication, my clear ability to pay the balance promptly when properly notified, and the error of late payments justifies the fact to discredit the negative affects of the 2 late payments on my credit score as well as a denial of application of credit. I hope these comments are taken into consideration and the righteous improvements due to the error of the debt collection agency and or/XXXX XXXXXXXX in inaccurately reporting a credit past due is worthy of a correction and subsequent improvement to current credit score. Consumer Complaint: I applied for Amazon credit card, at their offering, and received said card in due course. Upon receipt of the monthly statement, I had a charge of {$12.00} on the statement. Upon contacting the bank to determine the source of the charge, I was advised that it was from Amazon for the issuance of the card. They went on to say that there was annual charge of approximately {$140.00} for the card. I immediately cancelled the card and contacted the Amazon company to advise of same. They charged me {$12.00} for the initial month despite the fact that it was never used. They then reported the delinquent monthly nonpayment to the credit bureau, which I was forced to pay. However, despite making that payment and cancelling the card, they continue to use the information on my credit report, which was excellent for several years, before being lowered to good where it now sits. How many months should they be allowed to punish me for this matter? I never used the card for a purchase and did not need to pay for the honor of their credit card.
