Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: My complaint is a old one that is still effecting me today. @ 2008 I was making my mortgage to Chase but each time I needed something they would tell me they need to check with XXXX XXXX.I went to XXXX and they got forbearance for me and added the delayed payments to the end of my loan. Then Chase started to give forgiveness for deferred payments. When I made a request to Chase they said XXXX XXXX was refusing to give forgiveness. Now that the government is giving out help I-have attempted to get the deferred payments forgiven but I am told there is nothing I can do. If XXXX XXXX was allowing Chase to be the heavy header back in the day why would they not allow their clients to secure the benefits being offered., nowadays senior citizen I cant get a reverse mortgage because when they add the deferred amount I owe too much to qualify Now what do I do

Consumer Complaint: My car was broken into and my wallet was stolen a week ago. Inside was my license, debit card and all of my credit cards. I locked all of my cards immediately. The next day, there were 2 fraudulent withdrawals on my Chase bank account at 2 different locations in the amount of XXXX. I immediately called the bank to let them know. I've spoken to the bank on the phone and in person several times since then but they haven't resolved the issue. My account is frozen, I have no access to any of my money and they haven't given me back what was stolen. I've made 3 police reports. 1 for the car break in, and 2 for the fraudulent withdrawals at both banks where the money was stolen. I have automatic payments and rent due in a matter of days and need access to my money!

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I would like to file a formal complaint against Chase for my XXXX Credit Card. I recently gave a credit balance of over $ XXXX, and have repeatedly requested Chase to confirm and transfer my credit balance to my Chase checking account. They keep on providing the same response to wait for up to 10 days. Which is in violation of CFPB 1026.11 for requests to be completed within 7 business days. I contacted them many times via calling their call center on XX/XX/21 officially requesting the refund of the credit balance and also via email many times. They are illegally keeping my money for longer that they are entitled and in direct violation of your ordinance.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern : JP Morgan Chase was the financing company who was the lessor for a car I leased from XXXX in XXXX, which was subsequently traded in for a new vehicle late in XXXX. I started to receive debt collection calls from JP Morgan, earlier this year, related to property taxes and traffic violations that they had paid on my behalf. I thought something was suspicious as the traffic violation dates seemed to be beyond when I possessed the original XXXX vehicle. When I said I had no idea what they were referring to, they insisted they had been sending mail to me with documentation, but I never received anything from JP Morgan, even when I provided them my new address. Finally, there was someone from this team that actually explained what they were trying to collect for and provided me with the traffic violation numbers. I was able to confirm the property taxes were indeed for the time period when I leased the car and I remitted payment to JP Morgan for this. When I reached out to XXXX ( the actual company that issued the traffic toll violations )XXXX XXXX confirmed that the traffic violations were not in my name nor the license plate of my car and were related to a totally separate vehicle, but they can not provide this information to me because of personal data privacy laws. When I relayed this information to the JP Morgan representatives, they told me it is my burden to prove this, despite acknowledging it could be a data issue on their end and somehow can not access the actual violation data, because it was processed by a separate part of JP Morgan. My most recent outreach to XXXX occurred on XX/XX/XXXX, in which they definitively told me there is no method that they can provide me written confirmation that the traffic violations are associated with a different account. I once again relayed this update to JP Morgan on XX/XX/XXXX and the representative told me once again that they will not be eliminating the balance of {$430.00}. I have consistently worked in good faith with JP Morgan to try and resolve this matter, despite the borderline harassing calls I received earlier this year ( until I was assigned someone who actually took the time to try and resolve this situation ), and I find it ridiculous that they are refusing to acknowledge that they potentially made a mistake and have put this burden on me to prove, knowing full well that they are the entity who actually has the data needed to confirm this.

Consumer Complaint: Business credit card with a {$29000.00} credit limit allowed to go to a balance of {$70000.00} as of statement date XX/XX/XXXX. I have been paying the card on time monthly. When I requested a payment plan to pay of this card in 28 months via $ 1000 monthly payments I was told there was nothing JP Morgan Chase could do since the account was current. I held back 1 scheduled monthly payment and was told again there was nothing Chase could do. After that I had my previous business accountant and attorney look through the Chase credit card statements and they uncovered the large balance overage, to the exact month where the card was allowed to go over {$40000.00} above the {$29000.00} credit limit. When I asked Chase for documentation I was sent a standard form letter stating the JP Morgan Chase sometimes allows clients to go above their credit limits. I was hospitalized at the time and that is what forced me to sell my business back on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Chase numerous times and was passed from supervisor to supervisor with no progress other than " we will contact you back within 2 weeks to your last physical mailing address. '' I did not sign up for or authorize an increase in credit limit and did have employees with additional cards. I am not disputing the charges. I only want to know who authorized this additional {$40000.00} limit to my account? The card documentation has always stated a {$29000.00} limit and I have never agreed to a credit line increase or another credit product to give me that additional credit line.
