Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: IC Systems reported a {$390.00} collection on my report. I contacted IC Systems and informed them the name was a mismatch and I had never been to the dental office. They requested I contact the dental office. The billing department of XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed the debt wasn't mine and called IC Systems to make the correction. IC Sytems informed their client that I would need to dispute the accounts with each credit company. I then called IC Systems in attempt to have this corrected and was told the same steps I would need to take to resolve this. IC Systems has ample information to prove they made a mistake. I should not have to spend time disputing accounts with each credit company because they made a mistake. They have the ability to correct this themselves but refuse to do so.

Consumer Complaint: This is the second agency trying to collect on the same debt that has been submitted to FTC months ago. I called XXXX about the account in XX/XX/2017 to be closed which it was continued to be billed until XX/XX/2017. I contact the original creditor which states they could not zero the balance because it was sold to collection agency.

Consumer Complaint: A Collections report has been filed on my credit report 3 times by IC Systems for a debt of {$150.00}. Not only is the debt not mine but they are repeatedly flagging my credit report with the same debt. Are the collections companies permitted to report the same debt more than 1 time? I have read that they are not.

Consumer Complaint: The debt collection agency IC System states that I owe {$17.00} for medication received on XX/XX/2018. I provided proof that I paid it on XX/XX/2018 and I even have the bank statement to prove that the money came out of my account on XX/XX/2018 when I was notified of the amount to be paid. The company claims to have investigated the debt, but still refuse to acknowledge that I did pay the debt. Even though the hospitals information app clearly shows that they received a payment from me.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else

I repeatedly get this pre-generated letter stating it was verified. I did not request verification I requested investigation there is a difference. I reached out to the collection agency and got no validation from them. I sent the collection agency this letter with specifications that I was looking for to validate this debt and got no response. Its been well over 30 days and this information still on my credit. This is the letter I sent and faxed : To Whom It May Concern : Be advised this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. Under the Fair Debt collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), I have the right to request validation of the debt you say I owe you. I am requesting proof that I am indeed the party you are asking to pay this debt, and there is some contractual obligation that is binding on me to pay this debt. This is NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) of the FDCPA. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. At this time I will also inform you that if your offices have or continue to report invalidated information to any of the three major credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX ), this action might constitute fraud under both federal and state laws. Due to this fact, if any negative mark is found or continues to report on any of my credit reports by your company or the company you represent, I will not hesitate in bringing legal action against you and your client for the following : Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Defamation of Character. I am sure your legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request could put your company in serious legal trouble with the FTC and other state or federal agencies. If your offices are able to provide the proper documentation as requested in the following declaration, I will require 30 days to investigate this information and during such time all collection activity must cease and desist. Also, during this validation period, if any action is taken which could be considered detrimental to any of my credit reports, I will consult with legal counsel for suit. This includes any listing of any information to a credit-reporting repository that could be inaccurate or invalidated. If your offices fail to respond to this validation request within 30 days from the date of your receipt, all references to this account must be deleted and completely removed from my credit file and a copy of such deletion request shall be sent to me immediately. It would be advisable that you and your client assure that your records are in order before I am forced to take legal action. Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: I've sent multiple letters to this agency about this not being my account. After being advised by identitytheft.gov, I've completed and sent a fraud affidavit via certified mail. I can see they received it, but nothing has changed. See supporting documents. Even the USPS tracking. My official complaint is against IC SYSTEM. My information was used to obtain an apartment, cell phone, and an auto loan with my ex-partner. I am a victim of identity theft and have put this off for too long. I've completed the proper steps, 1. notify creditors 2. police report 3. informed the state of Texas.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: XXXX has again tried to pull an illegal move again by throwing a very old debt on my credit report. Whats Illegal about it well lets take a look 1. In Texas we have a Statue Limitation Law of 4 years on Debts, which means apparently when this debt was created back in XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX its should be illegel for these people to call my phone or try to collect on a debt that is past the Debt Laws in Texas. 2. I have talked to XXXX and the time they claimed I had service with them, I have told them I did not I had service with XXXX XXXX at the time apparently after my request not to years ago they left my service on with me not even having any of their equipment in my home. Now I will be sending an email to the CEO of XXXX/XXXX contesting this debt that I feel is not owed.

Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: IC System keeps adding/attempting to add itself to my credit report for a bill that is invalid and/or inaccurate. I have disputed this item on my credit report several times over as it has been reported by multiple collection agencies with falsified and/or inaccurate information. IC System collection reportings were previously deleted from my credit report but somehow IC System keeps managing to add itself back on for the same disputed item. It is my understanding that a creditor nor collection agency can report falsified and/or inaccurate information on a consumers credit report. IC System with its various tactics keeps attempting to damage my credit report with falsified and/or inaccurate information. Please put an end to this.
