Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: This complaint is regarding the debt in collection in the amount of {$94.00} being reported by IC System opened XX/XX/2019, being reported on my XXXX credit report. This amount due was when I had an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX, prior to it being taken over by XXXX XXXX. When I had my account with XXXX XXXX XXXX, I resided at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I moved from that location, I turned in all of my cable boxes and equipment and asked what any remaining balance I had due, which at that time was {$94.00}. That amount was paid at that time in person. This was also either at or very close to the time XXXX XXXX XXXX was making the transition from XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX. When I moved to my new address, I did not have services put in my name. However, I did receive one remaining piece of mail at my new address from XXXX XXXX XXXX, stating I owed {$94.00}, at which time I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and was told, I did not owe that amount as that bill generated close to the time I turned in my boxes and paid the {$94.00} in cash and that it was an overlap. I had a {$0.00} balance. I received no subsequent mailings or billing statements from XXXX XXXX XXXX. In reviewing my credit report, I discovered the account in collection with IC Systems for the {$94.00} bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX now XXXX. The first time I called IC Systems was on Tuesday, XX/XX/2019, at which time, they confirmed they still had the incorrect address for me on file which is why I never received anything in the mail from them. Otherwise, I would have taken care and disputed this sooner. I have also disputed this through XXXX and it is my understanding it has been removed from my credit. I am likewise, requesting it is deleted from any and all other credit reporting bureaus such as XXXX and also XXXX and no additional collection or judgement or public record activity be noted.

Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I was notified by the credit bureaus that a collection through I. C Systems had been added to my credit report. So upon investigation I saw that the original creditor was XXXX XXXX. I have never had a XXXX XXXX bill in my name where I authorized it, and I was never alerted of anything going into collection. There is no way that I could have even attempted to pay this debt before it hit my credit because I was not notified of the debt and did not know it existed because I never signed up for gas.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was notified of a credit change due to a debt collector placing 2 derogatory marks in the amount of {$250.00} on my credit report. Upon review, I determined that IC System based in Minnesota was attempting to collect a debt on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX TX. Previous to the credit report change, I had never received any type of communication from either IC System or XXXX XXXX regarding my past due amount. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with both companies and resolved the issue, finding out that the 2 marks were for the same overdue invoice from XX/XX/XXXX and that I only owed {$120.00}, however, I was required to pay {$250.00} to clear my account with IC System. I paid the overdue amount promptly, and on XX/XX/XXXX both derogatory marks were removed from my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. I was refunded the overage amount of {$120.00} that IC System had charged me on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, a new derogatory mark in the amount of {$110.00} was placed on my credit report by IC System. I called IC System but they could not explain why a new mark had been placed on my report and that I would have to take that up with the credit reporting agency. The credit reporting agency for all of this activity is XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: IC System called me regarding my XXXX account which was passed due.During the conversation they told me that XXXX was offering an end of the month settlement in the amount of $ XXXX.I was told that it would only be offered until the end of the month.I happened to receive a check that week so I called to make the payment which was a check by phone.I was told I was paid in full. This happened on XXXX XXXXOn XX/XX/XXXX I went to a XXXX retail store located in XXXX and the Sales Representative told me my account was still showing unpaid. He gave me a number to call. They were closed because it was XXXX XXXX weekend.I called both XXXX and IC Systems on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX in the morning to clear things up.IC Systems once again confirmed I was paid in full. The person I spoke with told me he would send a confirmation email. When I called XXXX they transferred me to the Recovery Department.I spoke to a girl named XXXX.She said that she would go in the computer and put a note on my account that I was paid in full. That was all she could do.I returned to the XXXX store and met with XXXX who told me my phone still indicated unpaid. He called XXXX and explained the situation and eventually got transferred to the Recovery Department. He gave the phone to me because the woman wanted to speak to me.She was very abrasive and told me that I needed to pay the balance that I still owed or my phone would remain locked.I could not believe that they did not tell me this earlier when I called.Instead XXXX chose to humiliate me at the retail store. IC Systems does work hand in hand with XXXX and they even tell you thank you for being a valued XXXX customer when they take your payment. The entire situation was falsely presented and very misleading because they should not tell you that you will be paid in full if you are not and XXXX offered this end of the month special to me.I did not ask for it.

Consumer Complaint: On Wednesday XX/XX/2019 at approximately XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX of " IC System, '' called me to collect a debt ( {$50.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX ). At that time, I informed him that I would pay XXXX directly because that way they will be able to restart my pet 's health insurance which I was unaware had lapsed. At that time, XXXX told me that " XXXX would prefer that I pay IC systems '' when I asked why that was, he stated that " XXXX may not have my file any longer. '' When pushed, he admitted that he was entirely unaware of whether XXXX had my file. Accordingly, XXXX was attempting to collect this debt by making misleading statements ( a statement as fact, that he had no factual premise for ).
