Consumer Complaint: I was checking my credit report with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX XXXX like I usually to do and I noticed that my score was down 27 points. I went to check the reason because for me my credit is very important and I paid on time but I found a Debt Collection on my report from I.C. They asked me for my name, social security, date of birth, address and phone number that I provided and I denied this transaction with XXXX and explain to them that I never had this service. The representative told me that my address doesn't match either my phone number but my name, social security, and date of birth matched. They had on their records XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL XXXX and the phone number linked with this account is XXXX data that I do not recognize at all. They filed a case of fraud and identity theft with Reference # : XXXX. Immediately after I went to file an Identity theft report with the XXXX XXXX Police Department where I live since XX/XX/XXXX and they filed a report for fraud and identity theft case # :XXXX and because of jurisdiction issues I have to report the city linked with this fraudulent transaction I called to the XXXX XXXX Police Department after and they filed a report for fraud and identity theft with a case # : XXXX.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Subissue: Debt was already discharged in bankruptcy and is no longer owed

Consumer Complaint: More than 8 years ago. I had cable services. I was having severe finacial problems at that time and I couldn't afford cable services anymore, so the cable company canceled my services. I ask if they wanted there equiment/cable boxes back and they refused to take back the equipment/boxes so they charged me for the boxes. This debt was apart of my bankrupcty. The XXXX XXXX XXXX put my account in collections and it appears they are charging me for the equipment so they are refusing to remove the debt from my credit report. The debt collection agency or the cable company changed the date to XXXX 2018 to keep it on my credit report This is not fair. Please help me in resolving this problem. Thank You
