Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: I recently checked my credit report and learned that Convergent Outsourcing, a third-party collector for XXXX placed a collection account on my credit report. I called Convergent Outsourcing and asked them why they never sent me a notice about the collections account. The Convergent representative told me that they sent a notice to an address where I have never lived and never received mail. The address began with XXXX. I have never lived at an address beginning with that number. I have not received mail at an address beginning with that number. I told the representative that she had a legal duty to notify me BEFORE posting to my credit report. The representative did not respond to that statement. The representative did not send notice to the proper address after I told her where I receive mail.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter at my home for an alleged debt owed to XXXX from 2004. I do not owe XXXX any money from 2004. I am currently a XXXX customer. They acknowledge in the letter that if I had owed the money ( which I never did ) that the statute of limitations has run as the alleged debt is very old. Convergent Outsourcing states that if I were to acknowledge this false debt they could then sue me, and if the false debt is not acknowledged they will report this false debt to the Credit Reporting Agencies. I will respond to them via certified letter but wanted you to know about these erroneous false debt collection practices and their duplicity. I have no idea what they are talking about, I have an 800+ credit score. These people are crooks trying to take advantage of people. It concerns me that they are trying to pass off some numbers as my former account number that I have no way to verify.

Consumer Complaint: My last bill was charged wrongly and they added {$35.00} on my account. She was not listening my reason asked me pay full bill. She was trying to threat me that I'll not pay the amount something bad will happen to me. This is what happened I moved my lines from XXXX to XXXX on first week of XXXX and final bill only on 2nd week of XXXX. Consumer Complaint: From XXXX to XXXX I had XXXX. I also had one other person added to my account because they claimed they needed a phone. The person decided they would not pay their bill so I brought my phone up to date and switched to XXXX in XXXX. Prior to that, XXXX charged exuberant prices to which they could not allocate the reason for the costs and wrote them off as hidden fees. XXXX is a very bad company. Fast forward to XXXX, I am receiving letters stating I owe $ $ on a device that is not in my possession nor do I own. The person on my account attempted to send the phone back to XXXX, XXXX claimed they could not take the phone. XXXX has messed up my credit significantly and has set me back 5 years. Without any investigation, XXXX allowed an account under my name to remain open and charged. Now that theyre no longer a company, theyve insistently harassed me over a year for a charge that does not belong to me and subsequently, ruined my credit.
