Consumer Complaint: on XXXX I went to XXXX in XXXX, NJ with a mail offer for phones and services. I went through the start up process, for over an hour and when they tried using the promotion code- it wouldn't accept it. They tried calling the number on the notice and after another 40 minutes- was not getting any help. They said I would have to do this on my own time. We cancelled the entire request. ( I have the postvoid receipt ). This should have been the end of this transaction. However, on XX/XX/XXXX I tried to purchase a XXXX gift using my debit card with the last {$50.00} I had, to my name. It was declined. When I checked my bank account it was overdrawn - T-Mobile was pushing through an unauthorized auto-payment for the monthly service fee, for services I never received. I called the store, the manager remembered the transaction and he made sure the autopayment was cancelled so it didn't happen again. I spent another 2 hours on the XXXX " help '' line. A term I use loosely as I was disconnected 3 times and had to restart explaining each time. Finally I was told they see it was an error and that they issued a refund to my bank. It would take 10 business days! I called my bank, put in a fraud claim for the transaction and they also made me wait over 10 days to get my money returned and reverse the overdraft fees. XX/XX/XXXX I receive a " late payment '' notice from XXXX for the original balance and a {$20.00} returned item fee! XX/XX/XXXX I receive the monthly statement for the " charges '' due AND a collection notice from Convergent Outsourcing Inc. XX/XX/XXXX- I got back on the phone with the original store, the manager wasn't employed here any longer and the new one was rude and unhelpful. I called XXXX and they said the refund was already issued back in XXXX and that she has no idea why it recycled and was also sent to a bill collection agency. I have spent way too much time on something I really should not have had to think about after I left the store on XX/XX/XXXX. Over a month later they are sending me bills and collection notices and nobody seems to be able to remove me from the computer system to stop this XXXX. I am trying to rebuild my credit and this is NOT helping. Be aware of shady XXXX and their offers via mailings or emails or anything for that matter.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notification that a collection account had been added to my credit report. The company is Convergent Outsourcing, and according to my credit report, the alleged company they are collecting on behalf of is XXXX. Over the past 6 months, this account has appeared on my credit report under several collection companies, including XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. It appears that these are some sort of junk debt buyers, and each time that I request debt validation they were unable to verify the account as belonging to me and subsequently deleted the accounts from my credit reports. I have contacted XXXX several times regarding this, but apparently this error has not been fixed. I filed a complaint against XXXX with my Attorney General and the FCC on XX/XX/XXXX regarding this matter. Furthermore, as far as this Convergent Outsourcing account listed on my credit report, they have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by placing this erroneous, frivolous account on my credit report. I did not receive notice via mail regarding this account before it was placed on my credit report, nor did they provide validation of the account. So again, this is NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) of the FDCPA. I respectfully request that Convergent Outsourcing offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay them. At this time I will also inform Convergent that if their office continues to report invalidated information to any of the three major credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX ), this action might constitute fraud under both federal and state laws. Due to this fact, if this negative mark continues to report on any of my credit reports by your company or the company you represent, I will not hesitate in bringing legal action against you and XXXX for the following : Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Defamation of Character This is a request for validation made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Consumer Complaint: I located a fraudulent account in my credit report for {$200.00} from Convergent Outsourcing. In the report it claims the account was opened XX/XX/19. I contacted them and Convergent explained it was a account XXXX account . I contacted the company and have sent an affidavit of fraud, copy of my XXXX XXXX bank and my id that proves the my address does not match the fraudulent account. They have refused to assist and have lost my papers 3 times! I need this account to be removed. If I had opened the account I would have paid it. I have XXXX credit score and wont mess it up for a stupid {$200.00} bill.

Consumer Complaint: I was looking on my credit Report and I seen a company named Convergent Outsourcing which I never open a account with them nor did I give anyone permission to open this account in my name I first sent numerous letter and never got a respond back. I then called the company direct to find out why they are reporting on my credit report they said that they are reporting on the behalf of XXXX and that they had the wrong address and contact info for me and they mailed a fraud packet to the wrong address I then updated all my contact info and address with them. I received the fraud packet filled it out and sent it back to them over a month went by and they was still reporting on my credit report I then call them back and ask to speak to a manager I then talked to a gentlemen named XXXX or XXXX which he told me the hold up was with XXXX. so I then called XXXX directly and they blame Convergent outsourcing they then sent me to a website XXXX i went to the website and fill it out still nothing i then call back and ask to speak to the same manger and he told me they i was missing the police report and once i send that they would remove it I then sent them the police report and now they are saying the address is connected to a family member the address they have I never lived at I am so frustrated with this whole situation I was in the process to buy a house and this is hindering me I feel like I am getting the short end of the stick why should I pay a higher interest rate for something I did not do I would like this removed from my report.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent outsourcing is misrepresenting debt and wrongly reporting to all credit reporting agencies. They are claiming a debt that I disputed with the original creditor in XXXX is new in XXXX of XXXX. I've never had one piece of communication with this company, convergent outsourcing, and never been given any proof I have any business with them. They have provided me with nothing and lied saying this debt is from XXXX of XXXX. This is all lies and they are misrepresenting debt to gain financially from others. This is the very definition of a crime.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX and I am submitting this complaint without the influence of any third party. Convergent Outsourcing has continuously ignored my complaints regarding an alleged debt that is currently being reported on my consumer report. I have been challenging this account for the last several months and nothing has been done. This account is erroneous and not accurate which is a violation of federal law which supersedes all organizational policies. It is to my knowledge and is even reported on the CFPB 's website that credit reporting is NOT mandatory. 15 USC 1681B ( 2 ) Permissible purposes of the consumer report state that a consumer report should be " In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' As the consumer, I have advised CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING that this account is not mine and I also advised to discontinue communicating with me through all mediums. A credit report is a form of communication. 15 USC 1681a ( 2B ) states any authorization or approval of a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly by the issuer of a credit card or similar device is EXCLUDED from the consumer report. Therefore, even if this debt was indeed mine federal law excludes extensions of credit that originated from the issuer of a credit card. The definition of a credit card under 15 USC 1681 is the same as it is under 15 USC 1602 ( l ) which is the term credit card means any card, plate, coupon book or other credit device existing for the purpose of obtaining money, property, labor or services on credit. CONGRESS states ANY card. The credit card would be my social security card. I am demanding to have this account removed immediately.

Consumer Complaint: T-mobile says I owe them XXXX. As of XXXX XXXX. How can they say that. In oder for me to keep the Device you must pay both Device and bill. I did that in early XX/XX/2021. Bye the middle of XXXX i was with new XXXX and still Im. I asked XXXX why are you sending me the bill, the ask me for my personal information I said no you should know all my information your the ones sending me mail.you have all that. Twice they said they couldnt find out why this was happening. Now its in Collections Agency. One told me I would have to go in person with my I.D . Are they crazy. I have a XXXX. Plus location place people are very rude .Customers like me walking in for help we get sent back to calling customer service. This is ridiculous Ive had it with these people treating you like garbage. They want XXXX dollars from me this is false accusations. When they have billions and trillions of dollars .Thank you.
