Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, I have purchased an XXXX from XXXX XXXX paid in full. They kept sending me bills saying I have't not paid even though my credit card statement said otherwise. With months of back and forth with the company, they finally told me they have resolved the issue. However early XX/XX/XXXX, they sold my supposed debt to a collections agency and ever since then I have been harassed by them at least twice a year. I have send certified emails to these debt collection agencies saying I do not owed anything and yet they kept selling my supposed debt to other collection agencies. Recently XX/XX/XXXX, I got a mail from XXXX XXXX XXXX debt collection once again saying I owed this supposed dent. I once again send them a certified mail saying no I do not owe. XX/XX/XXXX, they send me a mail saying they reached out to XXXX, their client and their records indicated that I still owe and need to provide them with proof. Which I have credit card statements and payment confirmation from XXXX that I have already paid back in XX/XX/XXXX. This is emailed to them and will also send a paper copy via certified mail. The supposed debt i owe is XXXX. Please help me to stop convergent from harassing me repeatedly when I do not owe money to them or XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: A third or fourth party called Convergent has contacted me on a debt I do n't owe. In fact the company they say they represent has been bankrupt for a number of years now, I have to assume they got my information from that company which I did do business with about a decade ago. It was a bank. I had an account with them until they went out of business but it ended with no debt. I merely had a checking account with them until it closed. I suspect this is a very shady company and I am concerned my info is being sold on the open market illegally.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: There was a collection added illegally back to my credit report on XXXX XXXX, XXXX by CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING, INC. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WA on behalf of XXXX for {$1600.00}. This account was previously deleted in XXXX due to their use of improper protocol when attempting to collect an invalidated debt as well as it being fraud. I was not sent the legal notice that this account was resold or the required 5 day letter that this collection would be added back to my credit report. I would like this collection removed again as it was and the collection agency to no longer attempt to collect an invalid debt. This is causing an extreme hardship by damaging my credit continuously with fraudulent information. This situation is causing me loss of money, time, credit resources and severe stress. Notices have been sent to the company requesting action with no response. This is now becoming harassment and I would like this resolved immediately or I will have to take legal action. It is already difficult enough as an Identity theft victim trying to repair and replace the things I 've lost and this illegal action just adds insult to injury.

Consumer Complaint: I n XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, I disputed two items in collections on my credit report. After review, the CRA ( XXXX ) deleted the items from my credit report. Fast forward to approx XX/XX/XXXX ; I notice that my credit score has dropped precipitously, so I go to investigate, and much to my dismay, I find that " XXXX XXXX '' has somehow managed to park this deleted item on my credit report with absolutely no notification. The CA also re-aged the debt, stating that the " date opened '' was in XX/XX/XXXX. This is severely impacting my ability to move forward with plans to purchase a house, and seems criminal in nature.
