Consumer Complaint: I went into XXXX to talk about possibly setting up a plan. The man had me fill out all my information and then presenting an outrageous price for phones and I walked. Come to find out, the employee still opened an account without my consent. I've tried handling this with XXXX and they keep saying because I dont have a pin I can't get into the account. Well it was illegally opened so how was I supposed to get my pin. My credit has now been hit for four years because of their worker. This happened in California.

Consumer Complaint: I have never received any attempts from XXXX to collect a debt and haven't used them for >2 years. I received a collection notice from Convergent Outsourcing , Inc. stating I had a debt of {$37.00} from XXXX XXXX for recovery of 70 % of the debt, and I could pay 3 different ways, Online/Phone/Mail. I went online to try to pay the debt - they had me enter the account number from the letter, my last 4 of my social security number and my zip code and my last name. The website will not accept my information to " locate my account. '' When I call the phone number to try and pay, half the time they state " please call back during regular business hours '' and the other time they have a recorded message stating " there is not a representative available to take your call, goodbye. '' In short, this seems to be a phishing scam/fraudulent company that is hoping someone will just give in and mail them the check instead of verifying the debt.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing keeps calling and writing about a debt they acknowledge in their written communications that they can no longer sue me for or report to a credit agency. If it is too old to collect, they need to stop contacting me. This is what they state " The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX can not sue you for it and this debt can not be reported to any credit reporting agency. Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. can not sue you on this debt and Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. can not report this debt to any credit reporting agency. '' They need to stop contacting me. This is harassment. I am not XXXX enough to start the clock all over again by sending them any money.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Convergent Outstanding Inc saying that I owe {$650.00} to XXXX. I never opened an account on my own with XXXX. I was under my dad 's plan, under his name and always paid in full. I do not owe any debts to XXXX as I never had an account. The first time I received a letter was two months ago for about {$220.00} and I paid for it without thinking because there was a time in college I let my friend used my address for phone bill since he lives in a different state, and plus I don't want a debt to ruin my credit so I paid for it without even checking in with my friend first. However, after confirming with him, and he called XXXX to confirm this and they said they have no record of a debt I wish I did some research before paying for the first time. I've learned a hard lesson. Also, everything I received in mails ALWAYS included my middle name or middle initial. ( see attached and you don't see my middle name/initial ). This company is a fraud and horrible and these people need to be stopped.
