Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Convergent Consulting , Inc regarding a debt that is not mine. In this letter it clearly states that Convergent Consulting , Inc and XXXX XXXX can not report this debt to any credit reporting agency. I am going through the fraud channels that they have directed to me to but told me repeatedly that this debt can be reported on my credit report. That clearly contradicts the letter I received and since this debt is not mine to begin with it is very troubling that they will mail me one thing and say another. At the moment the debt in question is not on my credit report ( Debt is dated XX/XX/XXXX from what they told me ). I would like confirmation of what I was told in this letter while I go through the fraud channels given to me

Consumer Complaint: I ported my phone number out of XXXX to XXXX XXXX and I contacted XXXX to ensure that I was clear about having paid any money to them and they said all of my obligations to XXXX were paid. Approximately 3 month later I received a notification telling me that I owed money to a collection agency telling me that they were acting on behalf of XXXX and I had to give them money or they will impact my credit rating. This is important to me because I have had problems with XXXX regarding this issue. XXXX said that they remove the claim and I forgot about my complaint. I am receiving phone calls and letters demand payment for a debt that I don't owe after they said that they were going to cancel the claim of debt. The latest number to have called me is XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I requested verification of the alleged debt pursuant to my rights under the FDCPA. With respect to my verification request under the FDCPA, I requested a copy of a signed contract. Additionally, I also requested that they cease and desist all collection activity, including credit reporting. I ask them to delete any and all reporting made to any consumer reporting agencies. They failed to address my very specific legal requests and are in clear violation of the FDCPA. They failed to obtain and send verification of the alleged debt by not mailing me a contract. Instead of sending me a signed contract or agreement as requested they sent me a monthy statment and a monthly statements is not a contract or agreement and are nonresponsive to my verification request.
