Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One Auto Finance sent me the Transaction History Report that I requested from them a few weeks prior. I requested the report because I believed there existed errors in the balance shown on my credit report, and in the letters they were sending to me in attempts to settle the account for my repossessed XXXX XXXX XXXX ( repossessed in XXXX of XXXX ). After reviewing the account transaction history for the first few payments on the loan ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX ), I noticed that the amounts I was charged for interest was too high. Additionally, there was a random fee of {$7.00} for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. The customer service representative who I spoke with for more than one hour was unable to explain to me the reason for that fee or other codes and extraneous fees on the Transaction History Report. She stated that I was going to be speaking with the 'President ' of her department, but she refused to specify the unit within Capital One that this 'President ' would be representing. Needless to say, I was never able to speak with that person, although I was on hold for an extended period of time.

Consumer Complaint: I have been facing a series of challenges with your Capital One Venture card since opening the account in XXXX. Despite several attempts to receive the card, me and my authorized user had difficulty receiving it due to an incorrect address on file. Once I began using the card, my partner 's account was compromised, leading to the need for new checks, account numbers, and cards. In addition, I switched banks from XXXX to XXXX due to a lack of physical XXXX locations in your area. Unfortunately, Capital One then restricted all of my accounts with them due to an old account number saved for payments that had not been updated, causing payments to be returned. You attempted to provide documentation and proof of your current account, but Capital One required a statement within the last 90 days, which was not possible as your account had been closed, and you had opted for paperless billing. Despite notifying Capital One, they insisted that the only way to unrestrict your account was to provide the requested documentation. But they have no issues with taking my money from my updated account and still giving me no service. To make matters worse, my account has been subject to unauthorized fraudulent transactions that have reached their limit, and Im are still making monthly payments for these transactions. Even though it is still restricted. Capital One has refused to address the fraudulent transactions until your account is unrestricted, yet they have not provided any assistance in un-restricting my account. Each time I have contacted them, Ive been referred to a special department that says they will send my account up for review and that they can't help me because my account is restricted, but it has been almost six months, and there has been no resolution. This situation is causing undue stress and affecting my mental health, and my credit score is being adversely affected.

Consumer Complaint: I went to the New Jersey Special Civil Court ( XXXX XXXX ) on XX/XX/2023 to represent myself against a lawsuit brought against me by Capital One for a credit card bill. The judge mentioned that the creditors have the right to issue warrants for consumers and have them arrested and forced to pay the amounts that the creditors want. During my court date, the judge excused me because he stated that there was a Motion To Dismiss for this case/lawsuit. Still, Capital One is reporting negative information to the credit bureaus for this account. More disturbing is the fact that I believe they were overcharging me by not applying the proper amounts to the principal on my credit card, and charging bogus fees. These deliberate miscalculations occurred throughout the duration of this account 's history with them.

The promo stated to make a deposit of $ XXXX within XXXX days of opening, hold the money for XXXX days and receive bonus within XXXX days after holding. I made the deposit on XX/XX/XXXX and held funds until XX/XX/XXXX which is for XXXX days. However, the institution ( Capital One Bank ) refuses to pay the bonus. They informed me that XXXX days starts after XXXX days period. This information was not disclosed to me at the time I opened the account. The promo summary didn't have any footnotes signals indicating that there is a additional period of XXXX days before XXXX days. The terms and conditions also state XXXX days in multiple places without any references to the additional XXXX days. This is very misleading and institution was not upfront with the information and tried to hide the fact that there is XXXX days funding period before XXXX days.
