Consumer Complaint: I paid off my car in around XXXX XXXX with Ally Financial they stated that I still owed them about {$2000.00} in late fees which I tried to disclaim. I gave up that fight and agreed to paid the late fees on a term of a {$100.00} a month. They stated that they agreed but that I could only pay them by check so I did. XX/XX/XXXX I had a balance of {$400.00} I wrote a check for {$100.00} however the Ally Bank withdrew the whole amount of {$400.00}. I called on numerous occasions but no one would help me resolve this issues. I l later got my title and lean release in the mail. Now I still get daily calls 2 - 5 times a day asking me to pay off the balance that I still owe them {$300.00}. I have informed them over and over again of the previous information and still they have refused to hear me and continue to call and mail me letters. I do n't know what else to do as I refuse to give them another dine.

Consumer Complaint: Lease of a XXXX XXXX. Ally Bill in XXXX had the followng : Miscellaneous fee of {$760.00}, no explanation. Dealership Responded : Thanks for sending that over. I just got off the phone with Ally. The correct documentation is in your account, so they are investigating exactly what happened. The property tax charge of XXXX does seem to be in error. Dealership Response : I wanted to let you know that Ally has made the correction on your account. The balance for property tax has been reduced to {$150.00}. Payment of property tax does not reflect on your credit. If you decided to not pay the property tax during the lease, Ally will simply collect at the end of your lease for the three years combined. I do apologize for the amount of time that it took to get this resolved. It had to go up many levels within Ally before official signed off on. Complaint : I have requested that Ally provide the actual documentation from the XXXX County, Texas tax office billing me a property tax for my XXXX leased vehicle. This vehicle was purchased for personal use and the state of Texas does not charge property taxes on personal use vehicles. I have not received any proof that this was a property tax bill by the Texas, XXXX County. Ally has not provided any legal document to confirm this tax bill. Also, I requested an explanation on how they reduced the " suppose '' tax bill to {$150.00}. I have received no explanation. I believe they are in violationof the " unfair, deceptive, abusive practices ''

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I signed a contract to purchase a car with Ally Financial through XXXX XXXX XXXX. My XXXX payment was due XXXX XXXX, 2015. In that time, I suffered some financial difficulties and could not make my minimum monthly payment. I spoke with a representative of Ally to notify them of my situation and hoped that we could make alternative arrangements until such time as I got back on my feet. I informed them I could n't make the minimum monthly payment of {$170.00}, but I could make at least {$100.00} payment every month. The company refused to lower the payment amount, and is now harassing me with telephone calls asking for payment. They call me on my cell phone, they call me on my work phone ( State agency ), and they call my home number which is no longer in service. They have at least XXXX different representatives call throughout the day, every day, seven days a week. They are also sending me threatening letters in the mail, telling me that they will repossess the car if I do n't pay the minimum amount every month and make another payment to catch up what 's left. I am doing what I can to ensure they are at the least getting something. I have no alternatives.

Consumer Complaint: i defaulted on a auto loan at ally bank on XX/XX/2013.i noticed recently that every 3 or 4 months they remove the negative entry off my credit report and a completely new entry with a small change in the balance will appear a couple of days later, sometimes only penny 's in difference. therefore restarting the time statutes back to seven years.they constantly do inquiries on my credit reports damaging my score.if the loan was charged of f on XX/XX/2013, why do they keep tinkering with dates, balances, etc.after 4 years in Texas they can not legally sue in court that is why ally bank keeps renewing the credit entry as a new debt with a new balance and a new time statute.this kind of activity does not seem legal to me.

Consumer Complaint: I leased a vehicle from XXXX XXXX of XXXX, CT in the first week of XXXX 2015. They bought me out of my old lease [ an early termination ] and wrapped that {$1700.00} charge into my financing. As of XX/XX/2015 they literally just sent the check yesterday to Ally Bank. I have made a complaint with the Connecticut Dept.. of Banking because Ally is treating this debt as a total loss & damaging my credit report as a result. Ally sold the car and got alot of money for it and the total bill is less than [ by about {$100.00} ] what XXXX sen to them. This issue exists despite the fact that I sent certified letters to them -- one as early as two weeks ago -- with an email I received from XXXX XXXX that a check had been sent to them. There is a standing derogatory on my credit report now as a result of this situation and I am attempting to confirm with Ally via their managerial division for " total losses '' at voice number XXXX that this derogatory will be removed because Ally notified me yesterday that they had received the money.

Consumer Complaint: I have been renting a condo unit for 2 years. The original owner had passed away. The condo association. had Certificate of Title for the property and was renting to me. I have a signed lease thru XX/XX/XXXX.The condo went into foreclosure last year. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Ally Bank purchased the property. In XXXX XXXX, they sent a Demand for Possession letter stating that I may have additional rights under the Protecting Tenants Act of XX/XX/XXXX, and asked for my lease copy. My realtor sent both Ally Bank and their lawyer, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL, the lease, proof of my timely rent payments and a letter asking where my rent payments should now be sent. No response to this letter was ever received from either Ally Bank or XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XXXX XXXX a Motion to Issue a Writ of Possession was taped to my door. ( on my end, everyone involved, my realtor, the condo assoc. lawyer, realtor for new owner assured me that my signed lease had to be honored ). On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, a Writ of Possession was taped to my door. Calls to XXXX XXXX XXXX by my realtor, myself and a local lawyer were fruitless. XXXX NOW said they would NOT honor my lease as they deemed it " invalid '' as it was signed after the foreclosure process started. My lease was signed XXXX XXXX. Ally purchased the property XXXX XXXX. They had never stated this to either me or my realtor until XXXX XXXX. They would not grant me an extension. They told my realtor ( not me ) that the sheriff was coming the next day at XXXX to evict me. This was XXXX and I had to scramble to get movers and work all night to pack what I could. Both the sheriff and eviction crew were very kind and they waited while I moved out what I could. I am XXXX years old and Ally Bank and XXXX XXXX XXXX put me out on the street even though I had a signed lease, paid rent timely for 2 years, and kept their property in good condition. Their actions were reprehensible. People need to be aware of their tactics. I am asking Ally Bank to reimburse me for the {$2000.00} moving and storage costs and the {$500.00} in refrigerated and food items I had to leave. No dollar value can be placed on the personal items I had to leave ... things that were to be given to my grandchildren, or on the unnecessary stress I suffered. Instead of sending notices saying " send a copy of your valid lease '', which we did XXXX times, they could have easily told my or my realtor they deemed my lease invalid. I surely would have moved out. I was prepared to leave at lease end anyway as I assumed they would be selling the property. Ally Bank 's slogan is " bank human '' ... .I think they should re-think that one. They and XXXX XXXX XXXX did not have the decency to honor a signed lease for 3 more months. It was easier for them to evict an innocent XXXX. The public needs to know how they operate and give pause before dealing with them. F.Y.I ... If you have a signed lease on a foreclosed property ... .beware, it may do you no good.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX or XXXX there was an unauthorized payment taken from our Ally bank account. We called and closed the account. We have not used the account since. We transferred all our auto withdrawals to the new Ally account. XXXX they close ALL of our accounts with them and report use to consumerdebit.com When I asked them why they said that we had an overdraw on XXXX account from XXXX. I explained that the account was closed in XXXX and they needed to research their records. They refused to help me further and referred me to XXXX. I am paid a decent amount every two weeks and there is no reason an overdraw would go unpaid. They did not close that account and are now destroying my finances and refusing to review their mistake. They said they contacted us but my wife works at home and never received a call or email.
