Consumer Complaint: My mother had need of a vehicle but had insufficient income to make the initial purchase and I was brought on to cosign for the loan. Regrettably, my mother recently passed. After attending to the essential needs of the state, I voluntarily returned the vehicle. As a cosigner to the loan, I understand that this is my financial responsibility to pay the balance of the vehicle loan. However, I have a complaint with the collection agency that was hired to handle the account. When I received notice in the mail, I promptly contacted the agency. After feeling strong armed into a payment which undermined my financial stability, I offered to mail them a payment. They strongly discouraged this as account transfers were more efficient. I did n't feel comfortable with this but agreed in an effort to take responsibility for this. They then alerted me that they were going to take {$100.00} a month out of my account. I did not agree to this payment but they said that they were going to. At this point, I had to close my account.

Consumer Complaint: I am sending this complaint in order that I can get a straight answer from Ally so that we may close this matter. I leased a truck from XXXX XXXX XXXX, in XXXX MI the lease ended in XXXX 2014 when I took the truck back at the end of the lease which was XXXX XXXX, 2014 it was inspected and pictured was taken but when we got the report back from Ally it stated that there were holes in the rear bumper which was not true, we have been desputing this sence then now they tell that they have review our dispute and it was denied on XX/XX/XXXX but we never got notification of that, several customer service reps have told us that they do not notify you of denial in writing we should have gotten a call from the customer service rep that took the complaint but we did not and I keep telling them that I never got a call, then they said I should have called them. The dealership said that the truck never went back to Ally, the used car sales manager purchased the truck and sold it two days later, and we should not be responsible for any repairs, because Ally did not do any repairs never put their hands on the truck. Every time I speak to an Ally customer service rep I get a different response, I feel that Ally is trying to squeeze money out of every customer they had, because they are mad that XXXX has their own finance company now and will not be dealing with them anymore, I also know that Ally is a part of General Moters ( part of my tax dollars bailed them out ) thanks

Consumer Complaint: I received a loan for my vehicle and I was never issued mail or a call saying my mail was sent back to the finical company and my first bill was due on XX/XX/XXXX which I made the payment on time but they still said I was overdue and that overdue payment dropped my score tremendously. The other complaint is my credit card company said they were going to stop the payments to my card that I have n't used and paid off about 3 months ago but still have to make payments every month.

Consumer Complaint: Since Ally Financial has taken over both my car loan and my husbands, we have had nothing but problems. When they took over for GMAC, I had no late fees on my account and then suddenlty with ALLY I continually have late fees. I have written them time and time again but to no avail. They now call all the time either for my husband and myself or just for my husband on my personal phone. I have sent them proof of payment any number of times but am continually harrassed with phone calls. They even attemped to have my car repossessed even though I had proof of payments. Now my husband has not received a statement from them since XXXX and now I am not receiving any statements for several months. Enough is enough. Almost every day I have to block their calls. Some agency needs to take a look at these poor financial practices by Ally. We never had problems with GMAC. I am sure that with all the late fees they tack on, my credit will be hurt. When I send them proof of payment, they never acknowledge anything.

Consumer Complaint: Since the inception of my vehicle loan with Ally Financial I have paid over the required monthly payment. Each month I have requested that the amount paid over be applied to my principle balance. It appears that interest is being deducted from the total amount paid and not from the payment due amount. I believe the amount paid over the payment that is due has been misappropriated throughout the duration of my loan.
