Consumer Complaint: I was recently in an accident with possibly totaled Car on XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX to report the claim but they told me that I didnt have collision insurance. XXXX states letters were sent out 3 months after the purchase of my vehicle to me for consent to rate, which I never received. And that in XX/XX/XXXX they reported to Ally I no longer had full coverage on the Vehicle. It is required to have full coverage on the vehicle in order for me keep the loan and continue making payments. Ally should have either notified me of my lack of coverage as it is a breach of contract- and asked me to correct or force place coverage on me. They admit to having received notification of the lack of coverage in XXXX, but continued to let me make payments. We are at the point now where I have a near totaled vehicle that is potentially not covered.

Consumer Complaint: I have an auto loan with Ally Financial! It is very unfortunate and terrible that this company is not supporting its customers during a pandemic. My child tested positive for XXXX and was on an unpaid leave from work to take care of him. This of course caused me to become delinquent on many of my bills. I reached out to Ally and explained my situation. I was provided NO solutions or assistance. I was denied a deferment and was told there were no options for payment arrangements. The representatives that I spoke to were not empathetic and offered no help! Also, they continue to harass me by calling multiple times a day.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, we paid off our mortgage through a refinance. We did not have an escrow account for taxes and insurance, but during escrow, the payoff was overestimated, which resulted in an overpayment of {$3600.00}. This overpayment was deposited to an impound account. I already knew that there would be a large overpayment, I had been watching and waiting for the refund. I did receive a letter from the mortgage company stating that if there was an overpayment, they would be refunding it within their regulations and guidelines. By accident, I found a letter posted in my on-line account dated XX/XX/XXXX entitled Annual Escrow Account Disclosure Statement. {$3600.00} was deposited into the impound account. In addition, interest in the amount of {$4.00} was added for a total of {$3600.00}. In addition, there was a copy of a voided check in the amount of {$3600.00}. I assumed that I would receive this check within one to two weeks. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the company. They verified that the check was cut and believed that it was mailed between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. They told me that it takes a long time to get the mail from XXXX XXXX to XXXX. I asked what are the steps if I don't receive it. They said that if I don't receive it, they would put a stop payment on it and reissue the check, but that I have to wait at least 30 days from when it was cut to request this. I find this situation unacceptable. There was never a late payment on this account, and the mortgage company 's loan has been more than satisfied. I think it's reasonable to wait 30 days to get a refund, but I do not believe it's reasonable to wait an additional 30 days or more to actually get the money. As long as I do not have the check, the mortgage company has the ability to have use of the money. I also think it's abnormal for even the US Post Office to take a month to deliver a check. I know that's never happened when I receive my bills. The company representative also told me that this happened to another customer and it took over 3 weeks for her to receive a refund. I am suspicious that the company may have a process to hold mail back to enhance their profit while continuing to date their letters and checks to look as though they're compliant with their regulations. The entire process from loan origination back in XXXX until this closing will keep us from ever pursuing a loan of any type with this company.

At the time of purchase i made an additional payment of {$5000.00} lowering the total loan to {$15000.00}. I originally wanted to pay cash for the car but the Dealer encouraged me to finance as it would help my credit rating. The loan was financed by ALLY ( XXXX. BOX XXXX, XXXX, MN XXXX ) When I received the first statement I made an additional payment of {$5000.00} believing it would lower my liability. On the contrary, each month since I have received a bill for the same amount, {$210.00} indicating that the {$5000.00} did not lower my liability at all. They accepted the {$5000.00} payment yet continued to deduct the {$70.00} finance charge from that payment. See attached XX/XX/XXXX statement. I want my monthly {$70.00} payments to go toward the balance due at this time.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 date I former boyfriend XXXX XXXX and I purchased a vehicle through Ally financial. As our relationship separated I took my XXXX to court for XXXX matters. While we were in court, I asked the judge to force XXXX to remove my name from the loan as XXXX has been deliberately making late payments in an effort to destroy my credit, and the judge granted a court order XXXX attached ) for XXXX XXXX to keep possession of the vehicle and remove my name from the loan, title and registration. XXXX XXXX has violated a court order and continues to destroy my credit through making late payments, which is another violation of his court order considered indirect harassment. Ally financial has ignored my requests on several temps to rectify this situation and continues to report XXXX XXXX derogatory late payments on my credit report, even though a court order is in place. I have written letters explaining the situation and they go ignored and the only number I can contact Ally Financial through is the collections department and nothing is getting achieved.
