Consumer Complaint: The initial complaint filed with your offices is : XXXX against Ally Financial. I was recently informed by my co-signer that her credit report shows a " repossession by Ally Financial '' which has cost her housing, potential loans, credit worthiness etc. by all 3 credit reporting companies. In addition, my complaint was never resolved by CFPB regarding both of the wrongful repossessions of my car when my loan was extended and it was a " computer glitch on behalf of Ally Financial. In addition, the damages to my car, my driveway, my yard and the street from the second repossession has never been resolved by Ally Financial.

Consumer Complaint: entered a consumer credit transaction with ALLY and as a result they used my credit card ( as described in 15 USC 1602 ) and was extended credit in a consumer credit sale. they are now claiming that they originated the credit I extended to them, in which my insurance was not included in the finance charge ( sum of all charges ) Pursuant to federal law They have committed fraud and several violations of the FDCPA and TILA. They are now threatening me for an alleged debt that ALLY claim I owe. I never received a Material Disclosure of any of the information that was supposed to be provided to me. ALLY has taken an unfair advantage of me as a consumer and they should be held accountable for deceiving me.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2019, I reported to Ally Financial that one account had been fraudulently opened in my name on XX/XX/2019. Ally financial instructed me to complete an affidavit, file a police report, and inform all major credit agency that I had been a victim of identity theft. I completed all these steps and was assured by Ally Financial that the matter would be resolved, and that I did not owe money to the bank. However, I continue to receive threatening notices from Ally Financial that I owe them. Ally Financial is dragging their feet to look into my issue. They are in violation of Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( including but not limited to Section 807-8 ) Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( including but not limited to Section 623-b )

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX Ally financial XXXX auto division, stop sending me bills after I ask them to validate the debt to make sure I was paying the right bill after I received ally bills with different people names on it for same amount I was paying for my car. After further investigation, loan was done in fraud and in fact they never lent me any money for the car, they actually took my application, applied it as a assets on their book entry, double book entry, then bill me for a loan that didnt exist. Since then they suspended my online payments, and made me go to XXXX in order to pay, but after couple months without current bill XXXX denied me to make payments until I received an updated bill. I told Ally about the situation every month since then, in XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was illegally repossessed with compensation. This happened a day before my child was born in which we had no way to drive to the hospital, and was forced to delivery the child at home.

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with ALLY, and I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report, I called ALLY and they said their system mistakenly put me on paperless billing, which I did not request, and it caused me late account posting error. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record. I tried contacting XXXX XXXX and XXXX, and ALLY with no successful resolution. XXXX XXXX and XXXX reporting me having late payments. There was an error on their part. I was never late.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX Ally Bank offered a 1 % bonus on all net new deposits ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I followed the steps and received the email indicating that I had registered for the bonus. I followed the link in the email and deposited {$25000.00} of net new funds into a 13 month CD in order to receive the 1 % bonus ( {$250.00} ). Per the terms of the bonus, I did not remove any funds until the holding period had passed. However, at the end of my CD term, I did not receive the bonus as a payment into my Ally bank account or as part of the final CD payment, which matured on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to Ally via their secure messaging system on the website for information. I received a same-day response indicating that the email address I provided did not match what was on my profile. I responded that same day and attached the bonus signup confirmation email, which shows that I had received the signup offer to the same email address as my user profile 's email address. I received no response for several weeks. I contacted Ally Bank via their online chat service on XX/XX/XXXX to follow up to this issue. The representative made a note of the issue, but I did not receive any other resolution. I then contacted Ally Bank again via their online chat service on XX/XX/XXXX. This representative was able to research further. She noted that there were two different email addresses stored in the system ( my college email address and my personal email address ). However, on my user profile I can only see and update my personal email address ; the college email address appeared only on screens that she was able to access. Apparently the bank bonus system was checking against my college email address ( which I had used earlier in my 10+ year relationship with Ally Bank / GMAC Bank XXXX but had changed ), rather than my current email address shown on my user profile. As I have no way to update that college email address in any screen that I am able to access, it makes no sense to be held to that as the only email address valid for the bank bonus, especially when I purposely registered with the same email address that is currently shown on my Ally Bank profile. At the end of this chat the representative indicated that she would notate and escalate this case. I indicated that if I did not receive a response by XX/XX/XXXX I would be filing a CFPB complaint. I did not receive any further communications. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed this CFPB complaint.
