Consumer Complaint: I have been XXXX full time in a XXXX XXXX for 19 years. I decided to earn my XXXX XXXX XXXX and my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX certification. My original loan and XXXX XXXX was with XXXX College, SC. I submitted my first PSLF request that got denied based on wrong types of loans about 5 years ago. I had called my loan servicer XXXX XXXX XXXX multiple times when the PSLF was announced being told by mulitple loan reps that I was on track for the forgiveness and had the correct loan. I was told to keep paying my minimum payment and at the end of 10 years the balance would be forgiven. So I was blatantly lied to. Then at the 10 year mark, I submitted the form only to be denied for the wrong loan types. I was then advised to move my loans to FedLoans service. They charged me about {$500.00} to consolidate my loans as well. I paid the consolidation fees and moved my loans. I have now paid on my loans for about 14 years. In the last couple months I found out about the Temporary Forgiveness Program so I was told to resubmit for PSLF and if it was denied I could then apply for the Temporary. The PSLF was denied yet again in XX/XX/2019. When I called to apply for the Temporary I was told yet again that I had the wrong loan types and couldn't even apply for the Temporary Forgiveness Program. Please help. Thanks.

Consumer Complaint: I have a student loan with National Collegiate Trust that is being serviced by AES ( American Education Services ). I filed for co-signer release on XX/XX/XXXX and still have not received any response as of today XX/XX/XXXX. AES states they have not received any response from the lender and that I can not contact the lender directly as AES is the servicer and NCT will not speak to me directly about my account. AES has re-submitted the request today but stated they can not guarantee that I will get any response to the second request either. It is outrageous that these companies are allowed to operate in this manner and completely ignore consumer requests while blaming each other for the inaction.

Consumer Complaint: I am in my final year as a XXXX student full-time enrolled while also completing an internship ( school requirements ) in which I am making $ XXXX/hour. My XXXX private student loan that I obtained during my final year of XXXX serviced by AES informed me that I am due to make full payments starting in XX/XX/2020. However I do not complete my program until XX/XX/XXXX. I submitted a deferment form and AES denied it saying that I have used up all my deferment period. They have billed me {$580.00} per month and that is beyond my paycheck. I requested a forbearance, they stated that I am not qualified for that. At this time, they are threatening to report my late payment to the credit bureaus and I am unable to make this payment as my paycheck does not support at this time. Im a full-time student and I can not afford to pay approximately {$600.00} a month in student loan payments. I reached out to my school to assist me and they informed me that they are unable to. I would like to know what my options are.

Consumer Complaint: I made at least 5 payments of over 200 dollars to XXXX and then paid the smaller amount for 2 years. I never missed a payment. This was supposed to last for 10 years. My income went down and randomly they decided to make my payment 150 times more than it was supposed to be. I couldn't afford it and they put my loans in default as well as gave me no credit for anything that I had paid towards.

Consumer Complaint: I am a public service employee who has been making continual payments for well over 10 years. I have been on the appropriate income based payment plan that entire time. FedLoan Servicing informed me last year that many of my payments didn't count, because I didn't make the exact payment each month. Example, my bill was {$300.00}, I paid {$400.00}, so the next bill that came via USPS was for {$200.00}. It stated that I owed {$200.00} for that month. I paid the {$200.00}. It didn't count as a full payment and I wasn't informed until I attempted to certify my employment. I understand rigid policy. The problem is that all it took to fix it was for a customer service rep to click a button making the pre-paid extra actually be accepted as prepayment of the next month. FedLoan chose to set the default as a way to guarantee that borrowers take longer to pay off or have the loan forgiven. This is a scam that is certainly affecting thousands of borrowers who are acting in good faith only to find out that the choice of a clicking a box by a customer service rep may have cost them years of additional payments.
