Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I have now attempted twice to do my yearly recertification for the PSLF program. They didn't even read the corrected form I sent them. Their excuse for denying the qualifying payments : MISSING INFORMATION : Your employer certified the dates of employment that were entered in Section 3 of the ECF. However, the employment end date is before the employment begin date. Complete and return the enclosed form. Make sure that your correct employment begin and end dates are shown in Section 3 and that your employer certifies the correct dates. This is INCORRECT. The form clearly states that I started working at my current employer on XX/XX/19 and am STILL EMPLOYED ( box checked ). I have attached their letter and the corrected PSLF form I submitted to Fed Loan Servicing. I've gotten nothing but the run around from this servicer as they continue to try to deny qualified requests for PSLF program.

Consumer Complaint: As of XX/XX/2020, the Credit Report still reflects inaccuracies in terms of account status. I have tried rectifying this with AES and XXXX, and I have yet to see any changes. Because AES has failed to act on these reports, the beginning stages of a Civil Suit have begun on my part. Unless you respond to this complaint within no less than 72 hours with an actionable response to correct the information on the Credit Report, further motions to sue PHEAA/AES will commence.

Consumer Complaint: As I pulled all 3 credit reports from the XXXX website, I noticed that Fedloan Servicing has inconsistent information about my late payments on all three credit reports. Late payments are reported to the credit bureaus that do not match up. I have 12 FedLoan Servicing accounts on all of my credit reports. It is reported to XXXX that I have 9 late payments on every account. It is reported to XXXX that I have 5 late payments on six accounts, 4 late payments three accounts and 3 late payments on three accounts. It is reported to XXXX that I have 4 late payments on every account. The information should match if my student loans accounts are reported to all three bureaus. I have attached documents supporting my claim.

Consumer Complaint: I have my federal loans serviced by AES. I was told that the relief for federal loans, no charge and no interest from XX/XX/2020 through XX/XX/2020 does not apply to my account because that relief is only for accounts serviced by federal entities not a private servicing company. I do not believe that information to be accurate and seek the relief afforded to federal student loans.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from AES for me not to pay my student loan because of a new law sign by the president, due COVID 19, my interests will not gain any more, and my account will freeze. Because AES didn't communicate with the credit bureaus, all three of them XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, my credit score went down drastically ruined my so hard to keep score. Its shows in my credit like if I haven't pay for my loan voluntarily. This need to be addressed immediately. The points the credit bureaus removed from my credit need to put back right away so I can keep on going with my normal life.

Consumer Complaint: AES - Cosigner for daughter 's Private Student Loans During the summer of XXXX, my daughter requested and was approved for an MGRS - modified payment arrangements on her student loans cosigned by myself and her father. Although approved in writing, the monthly payment amounts were not reflecting the agreed-upon amounts. We were concerned as we understand the impact of late Student loan payments. After many calls to AES and many promises to fix the problem, it was finally discovered by a Supervisor they had made an error. My daughter was never eligible for an MGRS to begin with, which was the root cause of the agreed-upon payment amounts not being reflected on our statements. By the time the error had been discovered, 26 of her student loans were reported to the credit reporting agencies and impacted both her credit score and mine for months XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. The loans were all brought to current and it was recommended by an AES Supervisor to send a credit dispute form to request the 26 late payments be removed from our credit report. This was done XX/XX/XXXX, and a response was received stating in part " ... Based on this review we sent corrected information to the consumer reporting agencies to which the information was previously reported for the loans listed .... ''. We thought great, they have done a good job correcting an error they had made. It was not until I pulled my annual free credit report in XX/XX/XXXX, did I discover what they really did. Instead of removing the late payments as we thought, they only put a comment on each of the late payments of " Consumer disputes after resolution '' on our credit reports. This fixed nothing at all so, I sent yet another letter in XXXX XXXX..Their response was they are not going to do anything further with the issue. AESs errors have severely impacted our credit ratings negatively and they are not willing to remove our late payments for XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX for the 26 student loans. Please, anything your organization can do to help would be appreciated.

Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: When my loan was serviced by XXXX XXXX, I received bad information on student loan repayment. I was advised to put the loan into forbearance while working at the US Census Bureau as a statistician in Washington DC. My IBR would have been XXXX for that year but the lender recommended forbearance. Those 12 payments never happened at the census bureau and I lost a year of eligibility for PSLF. The year was XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. The prior tax year I received no income as a graduate student.

Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found 120 days late payment on the dates XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me.
