Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Consumer Complaint: Having gotten poor advice in the past from previous loan company, I consolidated my educational student loans under the Federal Family Educational Loan Program ( FFELP ). I have been aware recently that my educational loan does not qualify for Loan Forgiveness. I applied for Public Service Loan Forgiveness and was denied because my loan type does not qualify. ( FFELP loan amount as of XX/XX/XXXX : {$110000.00} ). If I had advised that consolidating my loans under the FFELP was not the best option for me, I would not have done so. I have dedicated to working in the XXXX XXXX as a XXXX in underserved communities in XXXX, Illinois and do not have the benefits or options that I would have had if I had been advised to consolidate under the Direct Loan Program. I graduated from XXXX XXXX School in XXXX and finished my XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I have served in underserved areas in XXXX since XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I recently had my student loans consolidated through FedLoan. TransUnion originally reported all of the Dept of Ed/Navient loans consolidated into one FedLoan. A month after consolidation, 5 of the Dept of Ed/XXXX accounts are now showing independently on my XXXX profile reflecting different amounts of : {$7500.00}, {$5900.00}, {$5000.00}, {$1800.00}, and {$1400.00}. Ive reached out to FedLoan and XXXX about the accounts being consolidated as they originally were but the issue has yet to be fixed. My student loans should being showing as ONE and not 6. Please resolve this issue IMMEDIATELY.

Subissue: Need information about your loan balance or loan terms
Consumer Complaint: I applied for public service loan forgiveness on XX/XX/2020 after making 120 qualifying payments. I have now waited over 3 months, with no official answer from Fed Loan Servicing regarding the status of where my application is in the process. I have been told various things by different representative from Fed Loans, including information that my loan has been sent to XXXX ( one representative said in XXXX, one representative said in XXXX, one representative said is has not yet been sent ). I have also been told that once my application is sent to the XXXX, then XXXX has up to ANOTHER 6 months to process my application. This time frame is beyond acceptable. If one were to lose their job, the whole devotion of now over 10 years/120 payments for public service loan forgiveness would be for naught. It is frankly criminal that Fed Loans/Dept of Education is taking so long in processing loan forgiveness, potentially leading to applicants not qualifying for forgiveness if they lose their job in this uncertain economy. Please assist in reviewing my case. I have contacted the XXXX ombudsman as well in XXXX, who stated my application " was in process '' within the expected time frames.

Consumer Complaint: In 2019 I was contacted by Federal Loan Servicing and told I qualified for student loan forgiveness. I went through their application process under the impression I would have majority of my loans forgiven. It was a scam. They charged me {$8000.00} and set me up on a payment plan I can't afford. I didn't realize this practice was illegal when it happened.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Was not notified of investigation status or results
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I sent a letter to the credit bureau in regards to items that were inaccurate on my credit report. I received no response for over 30 days and when I finally did receive a response for lack of better term the information was still inaccurate. I thought the bureau would update my my credit report accordingly but that was not the case. When I recently checked my credit report, the same inaccurate items appear on my credit report. On XX/XX/2021 in effort to get the issue resolved I sent another letter to the bureau explaining my confusion. After reviewing my credit report it makes no sense to me how both XXXX and XXXX have ALWAYS reported all of the same items from FED LOAN and FED LOAN SERVICES in positive standing, but XXXX have reported it as a negative. I understand making errors but this involves ( 16 ) items on my credit report! XXXX made a error reporting to the bureau and should correct it accordingly. This is really stressful and I am so confused. These inaccuracies are really effecting my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: My student loan was in deferment. I applied for a forbearance which was applied to my account effective in XX/XX/XXXX. My payment status shows on time payments/in good standing up until XX/XX/XXXX when it jumps to a 90 day delinquency, which of course is derogatory. Despite the fact that the effective date of the forbearance precedes the 90 day delinquency and the payment statuses do not correspond ( no 30 day or 60 day late ), fedloan claims it is a valid delinquent payment.
