Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Was not notified of investigation status or results
Consumer Complaint: I have asked for verification of late payments for the months listed on my credit report and nothing has been sent to me. It has been several months since I began the disputing process against FedLoan and nothing has been sent to prove that I was late or near forbearance. My account has not been updated and they are also reporting incorrect information across all three bureaus such as Last Active Date and monthly payment amounts which have altered my SOL dates. I have not attended school since the end of the fiscal year of XXXX, yet my last active date shows that it was in XXXX ; re-aging my entire account.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I provided FedLoan Servicing with my employer certification, per policy for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Because the signature was electronic and not 'wet ', they stated the form was not correct. In all the years past, this has been accepted. In XXXX, I provided the form again. In XXXX, I called and they stated it would be expedited and the payments would appear on my account. I called again in XXXX, because they still had not been accepted. I was told they were trying to see if my employer qualified. I have been employed with the same government agency since XXXX and my payments have been counted before. It is now XXXX and my payments still have not been added to my account. I am tired of calling and getting the run around. You are placed on hold for extended periods of time whether it is on the phone or chat. Everybody gives you a different answer and none of it appears to be the truth. It is rather ridiculous!

Consumer Complaint: I am in the process of applying for loan forgiveness via the PSLF under the TEPSLF program. I have had 41 payments " pending manual review '' for eligibility since at least XX/XX/2021. I have emailed and spoken with a representative from FedLoan who said she was escalating the issue. I am currently awaiting the manual review in order to apply for forgiveness. I appreciate any assistance in expediting this matter. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, My name is XXXX XXXX and I am a Federal Student Loan borrower with FedLoan Servicing. I have contacted FedLoan and disputed specific ineligible payments for Temporary Expanded Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( TEPSLF ) on XX/XX/2021 and again on XX/XX/2021 and they ; FedLoan Servicing ; have not provided a material response. They state that they are " assessing '' but will not provide me any timelines or other information. I am asking that CFPB contact FedLoan Servicing in an effort to get FedLoan Servicing to fix the ones that should have been fixed. This issue is time sensitive in that TEPSLF has limited funding and is a first come, first serve program. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I missed payments to FedLoan. Throughout XXXX, my payments were {$0.00}. I was unaware I needed to submit a new income form in order for my payments to be recalculated. In XXXX of XXXX, I was emailed from a credit monitoring company saying I had missed 45 payments ( 15 loans missed for 3 months ) and my credit had been drastically impacted. When I called FedLoan, they stated they tried to call me XXXX on a phone number that was changed 3 years previously & the new number was on all loan documentation ) and that they tried to email me ( but customer service said they could not see the actual email & upon checking my junk mail and trash there was nothing ). They did not attempt to send me anything in the mail. They broke the law by not informing me I had payments due and it has destroyed my credit for years. I hired a law firm to fight it, have filed multiple disputes with credit companies, and every customer service person through fedloan has agreed that I should file a complaint explaining the loans were fixed once I called & explained the situation. But it has not been taken off of my credit. I filed three internal credit appeals with FedLoan, countless appeals through XXXX XXXX & XXXX to no avail. I paid over {$1000.00} for XXXX XXXX to file appeals to FedLoan over the course of at least a year to no avail. As a last resort, I faxed a letter of good faith a few weeks ago explaining the situation & was again denied by FedLoan. They broke the law by not contacting me.

Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, I am a Federal Student Loan borrower with Fed Loan Servicing. I have met the criteria for public service loan forgiveness and my ( well over ) 120 payments were certified in XXXX. Fed Loan Servicing did not provide me with correct information and as a result I did not submit my final application for forgiveness until XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX Fed Loan provided a letter stating that they needed additional time to review the application. 6 months have passed and I have not received any additional information. I've reached out to Fed Loan on multiple occasions and they will not tell what specifically is being reviewed, what specific progress has been made on the review including dates, if there are any problems with the application or if I need to submit any additional information. I am aware that processing is slow ; however, this appears to exceed the typical processing time. Thank you, XXXX XXXX
