Consumer Complaint: I was having a hard time closing my debit account with Wells Fargo for months. They wouldnt provide the proper steps for me to close the account. After charging me to keep the account open for months, over draft fees and actual fees to keep my account open, charging me for lack of activity. I went into a branch and the manager told me I didnt know how to read which is what landed me in this situation. I reiterated my concerns after more time and more fees I paid them and repeatedly saying do not close my credit card it will destroy my credit. They closed my credit card anyways and now Im stuck with a balance and bad credit and no way to fix the problem. Finally in XX/XX/2023 the account was closed and my credit has been declining since. The manager XXXX in a XXXX branch was who made this awful experience even worse.

Consumer Complaint: My previous employer used my personal Wells Fargo credit card without my authorization and have disappeared and no longer communicating with me and turned out to be a fraudulent company ( I did not give them my credit card information ). My fraudulent employer have made charges to my credit card without my permission and withdrawn money from my credit card without my authorization/permission and Wells Fargo credit card is unwilling to give me credit for the charges that were done by my fraudulent employer without my authorization. My employer turned out to be fraudulent and have disappear since making those charges to my credit card and does not respond to any of my attempts to communicate with them. I have filed a police report but Wells Fargo is still holding me responsible for the debt even after explaining to them that this was done without my authorization or me ever given permission to transfer money from my card.

Later, the seller changed the name in the email conversation from XXXX to XXXX, which made me suspicious. So check out the top seller 's ads. XXXXXXXX which was found to be banned, including the seller 's user account was also banned.

Consumer Complaint: I am an XXXX XXXX and my wife and I were involved in a financial scam in XXXX. The scam was XXXX XXXX. XXXX was shut down and receivers were assigned. I am not sure of the times and dates, but it took years to get an outcome and to start being reimbursed. Wells Fargo Bank cheques were sent to me in XXXX periodically over a 4-5 year period. Initially cheques could be cashed but over time Banks in XXXX stopped cashing foreign cheques, so we were not able to be repaid the full amount owed. There is still {$1900.00} owed. Some time passed and I thought I the only way to get the money would be to endorse the cheques to a good friend who lives in upstate New York so she can cash the cheques and pay me. I endorsed the cheques and posted them. My friend went to her bank, which was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they had no problem accepting the endorsed cheques and cashed them immediately, putting the money in my friend 's account. Within a day or so The XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX was not paid by Wells Fargo Bank and the money was withdrawn from my friend 's account. The reason was, according to Wells Fargo I need to be in the branch to allow endorsement. This makes no sense, if I was in a branch, I could cash the cheques myself and I would not need to endorse it. The reason a bank cheque is endorsable allows it to be used as payment or to be cashed by the endorsee. In XXXX and many other countries, the endorsement of cheques is perfectly acceptable and obviously accepted by XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I live in XXXX and do not travel to the XXXX. There is not a Wells Fargo Bank in XXXX. I have phoned Wells Fargo multiple times and they were not flexible at all and offered no solution. ( Wells Fargo case number # XXXX. - around XX/XX/22. ) The account holder, which is the receiver is no longer contactable and do not reply to emails. I think there are hundreds of people in this same situation. Wells Fargo could be withholding a large amount of money from people who were scammed.
